5:45 agreed, I personally highly doubt that this is what “FFTF” was always meant to be. I am curious if this is now replacing the animated film project Coldplay has supposedly been working on? Or if that project (MOTS volume 3?) is just going to be even further delayed.
I thought 'A Film For the Future' would've been a fully animated 70 minute film that was traditional with a script ... I thought it would've focused on Coldplay's Angel Moon character and might also follow the characters in that Mylo Xyloto comic that I sadly never read. Maybe it would've tackled the notion of misfits and aliens fighting for the right to enjoy music and exist with everyone else. I got that notion with Music of the Spheres but it wasn't focused on that well. "Music is the weapon of the future" type thing... anyway... those were my silly guesses... I am really excited for how they gave, "A Film For the Future" toward visual artists. I've already bookmarked the date on my phone. I don't live by one of the real life showings so it'll be the online debut for me but I am still excited to see how others drew inspiration from Coldplay's songs. My favorite scene from the teaser was, at around the 21 mark, I liked the astronaut and chimp sitting at a table on the moon with what appears to be Earth. Just loved that imagery. Shout out to the bird and Dog(?) animation at the 30 mark, I have a soft spot for 2D and I'm also excited for that one.
