  • We sail our Amel Super Maramu to the top of the Yasawa Group of Islands in the North West of Fiji and spend a week with the local villagers there. We went fishing, crabbing, walking, eating and drinking with them. Rob fixed the chief's outboard that had been sunk a few days earlier. Just a wonderful place.

Fiji-Indians like the goats. Fuel is gold. Another great vid. Vinaka

Bula Vinaka Gary. Those villagers way up north there have very little opportunity to make money. Many are only one cyclone away from trouble, although they don’t stress about it. It is so great to help them even in small ways. It all adds up.

Loving it, guys! Hard to believe the navy had spark plugs but no fuel. One would have thought they had a RIB or two on board. Champagne Bay looks like e champagne place!

Hey David. The navy were at the very end of their circuit tour and the only outboard fuel they had left was already in their RIB. It was lucky that they only serviced their RIB two weeks earlier and the old plugs were still in the console! The used plugs were still WAY better than the ones in old mates outboard. (Pretty sure they were the originals!).

Hey Peter & Maureen. We left Vanuatu earlier than planned to outrun Tropical Cyclone Lola and sailed straight back into Brisbane. Ran into a huge Low Pressure system just off Oz & got smashed. Now doing the family thing. 👍.

@@sailingjaygo ok thanks for the update. Good to hear you made it home safely. Looked like an amazing trip well done. It'll take a while to settle down. What's your movements now?
      We'll keep intouch, stay safe.

Here for the cyclone season, doing the family/friends thing. Then north and to Indo.
