    I never comment on shit, but after long time lurking and learning so much from your vids, just had to show you some love, dude. You're the best channel doing this! As someone in not the greatest of financial times, but trying to become educated on production -- I appreciate you immensely. Just grabbed Flux off Bandcamp. I'll be working that into a DJ set real soon. Much love and respect, Bunting

    So for 8:56 I find that using a real disperser plugin (such as Kilohearts one) gives a much wetter sound than using the massive EQ3 disperser technique for a lot less of a CPU cost. Disperser was easily one of the handiest plugins I've bought, cannot recommend it enough for these types of sounds. Thank you for the tutorial I learned a lot of new tricks!

    Just found your channel and am blown away with how helpful it is. I've been trying to digest your call and response video by analyzing some of my favorite songs. If you make another video on call and response or really any song writing technique could you analyze Split Personality by Deathpact? So many ideas going on there. It seems like simple call and response but I don't understand how all the variations work so well together. A video on how/when to use bass/drum fills would also be helpful. I understand they are used to build tension but it doesn't seem like there is a formula. Why are they typically at the last half bar of every 4 or 8 bars? When use a "riser" type fill vs a growl or toms etc. Lots of words sorry

    Could you make a tutorial on how to make a mix sound fully dimensional? Your track throughout the entire video sounds very full and my mixes always end up sounding flat compared to this, as if they only occupy one field. I don't know why, cause I do mid side EQing and I do put my sub in mono etc.

    • @konnorkilgore9112
      @konnorkilgore9112 2 года назад

      Maybe try adding some reverb and delay to certain sounds in your mix. Always helps out my mixes when it doesn’t sound full

    Great stuff as always! Do any of your videos address when to layer a clean, direct out sub, vs processing the sub along with the rest of the highs? Or skipping a dedicated sub altogether? I'm always scared (to a fault) to run my sub thru any processing because I don't want to weaken it.

    • @BuntingMusic
      @BuntingMusic  2 года назад +1

      soon, most of what matters in sub tho is the level, so compress & mono sub and you’re usually good

    • @BuntingMusic
      @BuntingMusic  2 года назад +2

      moving combs/phasers/peaky filters and or messing with the spectral modes could probably get you close but the hyper clean quality of it is from additive synths eg razor harmor
      otherwise a freq shifter could have a similar effect

    Love the tutorial, brother! The tipper stuff is dope! The sounds are great, but how do you write these riffs? How do you know what lfo shape to use or where in the beat it goes? How do you know when to use an lfo for rythym vs writing the rhythm with the midi? How do you decide where the types of sounds go in the measure? Can you recommend some heuristics?
