For years I've been in love with that simple yet mental brassy glassy square wave kind of wobble they use in grime/dubstep, even tho I started with only knowing brostep, I think old dubstep has a really signature unique style and sound and that's what helped it gain popularity cuz it actually sounded new and different when the genre began
This is one of the most concise pieces of content Ive seen explains the philosophy behind building these types of patches. I am so glad I didn't spend any money on presets before watching this. Thank you man. look forward to watching more.
Bunting you're amazing man! As a total beginner I really appreciate that you not only explain how to do things but why you do it at the same time! It's really going to help with learning how to make the most of these tools to create sounds from scratch later down the line!
yesss! been looking for a vid like this for ages, big up. searching for 'dubstep bass tutorial' just gives loads of terrible mid bass type sound tutorials
Thank you for this! So few tutorials on this type of sound design, as well thanks for the spicy Bois one as well, really appreciate it! Keep up the good work man!
you are awesome, one of the best tutorials I have seen. very easy to follow and informative. earned my follow, will be seeing what other tutorials you have!
Nice, man. This was really useful for me. Just started in sound design and have been looking for something easy to digest to be able to produce some deep dubs. I use Massive X, but this was easy enough to translate between plugins for me. Only thing I need to find is something similar to that down sample in Massive or the redux, but for Samplitude pro x5.
Hey man, your channel is awesome, you've really helped me a lot with sound design. Quick question, how do you get that gliding sound on that first part? I can't figure it out, sounds so sickkk tho!!
Bro your the homie, where can I hear more of your altruistic releases? im betting you either have a library waiting to drop or your ghost producing for people. id love to hear more of your stuff, I am super inspired by your art.
Dude been looking for something like this. I'm kinda bad at doing minimal music and I tend to overdo things a little so I challenged myself to create some minimal dubstep like you did here and was wondering how do get these deep basses. Of course my approach was too cluttered again and I didn't even think of just using simple sine waves lol. Now I already made a decent loop which I can develop further. Thanks a lot man.
Thanks for great videos! I have an issue though, after recreating your second preset, the one overviewed at 1:50, each time I play it, it sounds different and even the waveform in top right corner is different. Sometimes it has a distortion "crunch" and sometimes not. Do you configure anything specific to avoid that or it's just coincidence / lucky choice of parameters that it works well all the time?
Im trying so hard to make just a simple ' wub ' but its so confusing... ugh.. Just doesnt seem like you go right into detail..like ' you change this or change that..'
Just fuck around and use your ears til u find what u desire. Use some of what u saw here, look at how other people make wubs, and then try to use some information from both along with your best judgment and experimentation. Good luck to you homie!
when you where making the automation the part you said "its just fun" haha is that pitch adjust ment what automation would that be im on fruity loops . please help love ur vids just subscribed
How does vital compare to serum? I’m considering getting it but I already have serum and don’t want to spend money on something that isn’t much different.
what he said, and I'm only using the free version myself paying just gives you more wavetables and presets, which im sure will be in no short supply down the line tl;dr download the free version its all you need
also - what vital has that serum doesn't more filters and more parameters on those filters spectral morphing (mess with wavetables with cool algorithms) and more warp options randomization (no more max4life lfo workarounds) transpose snap (weird but neat arpeggio feature) tl; dr just download it theres more shit to automate go crazy with it
I have a question, when I put lfo2 on the distortion drive it isn't showing the blue circle outside of the drive knob, it does with the voice lfos but for some reason not on distortion. What am i doing wrong? lol
I love your enthusiasm in the beginning of your videos
😂😂😂👊
Its hilarious cuz he talks like throughout the whole video 🤣🤣🤣
Sleepy beats
Lmao
He was on that 1am grind
Thanks for making these types of tutorials. Finally someone is consistently digging in to the genres that rarely get touched on.

I admire the respect dubstep artists have for sound.

2 years later and still teaching us internet people, thank you so much man
I hope your pillows always cold 🙌

Hey how do you use the pitch wheel for the very first synth? Cant seem to get it down
What effects do you have on the high hat to make that small short delay
analog triplet dub preset for ableton echo
Gold
Do you high pass the harmonic layer? Because of phase cancelation in the low end ? ?
question. How come when i installed the vital VST i didnt get any of the presets...?
it happens, just try logging back into it or downloading them from the website manually
@@BuntingMusic less than 7 months later, i got myself a job and got the actual software. I logged in and it actuallly works! :)
0:38 he did the licc
IM CONFUSED A BIT DUDES HOW DO YOU ADD THE LOW END DEEP SUB BASS TO TH WUB/WOMP YOUVCE MADE, I SWEAR IVE MISSEED AND CANT FIND IT REWATCHING
Hey bro could you do a salty dubstep sound design tutorial?
Thanks for great videos! turn the phase randomization to 0% (the 100 under the phase section on each oscillator)
@@BuntingMusic found it, thanks!
DDD wants to know your location. Fantastic job my friend!
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words!
this is classic dubstep
Peekaboo style dubstep this is. I was waiting for some coki or benga shit 😂
Dank.
this is my shitt thank you buntcase
Did you automate the pitch wheel?

Of course :) thank you for the support!

turn the pitch wheel in vital and automate sir
8:10 benga and coki - night?!
Can you do Digital Ethos at some point?
yes
Spent an hour trying to recreate that harmonic stretch function in Serum to find out that Vital is free.....lol
How does vital compare to serum? I’m considering getting it but I already have serum and don’t want to spend money on something that isn’t much different.
Vital, my friend, Is free ;)
what he said, and I'm only using the free version myself
paying just gives you more wavetables and presets, which im sure will be in no short supply down the line
tl;dr download the free version its all you need
also - what vital has that serum doesn't
more filters and more parameters on those filters
spectral morphing (mess with wavetables with cool algorithms) and more warp options
randomization (no more max4life lfo workarounds)
transpose snap (weird but neat arpeggio feature)
tl; dr just download it theres more shit to automate go crazy with it
Even the paid options are relatively inexpensive, it supports the dev. I plan to get one of the paid options for that reason.
@@BuntingMusic how beefy does vital run compared to serum?
Thats the OG dubstep
Nice
I have a question, when I put lfo2 on the distortion drive it isn't showing the blue circle outside of the drive knob, it does with the voice lfos but for some reason not on distortion. What am i doing wrong? lol
just try restarting, it happens sometimes, if that doesnt work get back to me
Yoo that's fuckin nice
What would you say the major differences vital has compared to serum
the only things serum does better is wavetable editing, different filters & more slope options, & better cpu usage
Please show us the forbidden sauce folder
holy shit lol this is literally the simulated - kll smth remix
ok im sold
