I was thinking of one like that with a soda straw and a loop of copper wire at one end, then came looking to see if anybody had already done it. Rubber band is a cool idea. Could use uv cement if you don't have a glue gun in your fly tying kit.
Nice! I've been experimenting with ear plugs but this idea might even be better! Wonder how long a biodegradable straw would last before it became too degraded in the water you're fishing in?
Well done but more plastic in the ecosystem would not be allowed in many of our pristine rivers down-under in NZ. A biodegradable straw would solve that! Regards.
Good idea!
nice work.
That’s really cool. You can also use a piece of styrofoam.
Cool video! Thats a great idea for a strike indicator!!
American Fisherman, glad you liked it. You may also like my video about the cheap leaderspool.
ever thought of using the base of a peacock feather? Verry licht, eco friendly, white and easy to color with sharpie...
You can also use tubing mint for tube flies
It's like watching glue dry
Thx for the feedback
