    Fun stuff, you had some class choices there Dan.
    I like videos where I learn some music trivia. That " Dog Eat Dog/Warrant " switch-around, and Dangerous toys/
    Prince Lovesexy comparison I shall remember to my grave.
    Completely forget important stuff in my life🤣however!. Your comment about " It makes sense in my head ",
    i had to check myself also with my choices in this video. hey, well done, with this one.
    Oh!, and also thanks for the mention.

      Hehehehe I try my best to insert some sort of learning in my videos... wether it be about music or model's names! :)
      Ya, that Warrant and Dangerous Toys I thought was clever! :) Thank you for the nice comments and thank you for giving me the idea to do this! I give credit where credit is due!

    How about REO Speedwagon-You can tune a piano but you can’t tuna fish. Always thought that was fantastic!! ❤🤘💿

      You're correct! I LOVE that one! Forgot about it (mostly because I don't own it...) BUT, I do own High Infidelity (which is ALSO a great title) but nowhere near as your choice! :)

    Here are ten that popped into my mind when I saw your video title before watching your picks.
    1) Deep Jimi & the Zep Creams -- very cool title for band & album, so I grabbed it, but sadly the music doesn't live up to ANY of their four namesakes.
    2) The Least Worst of Type O Negative -- pretty cool name for a "Best Of" album that shows they can poke fun at themselves.
    3) REO Speedwagon - You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish.
    4) Ian Gillan & Roger Glover - Accidentally On Purpose
    5) Gov't Mule - Deja Voodoo.
    6) The Who Sell Out -- the cover is adorned with photos of each member of The Who in fake commercials for beans, deodorant, etc.
    7) Roger Waters - The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking -- cover shows a nude, blonde hitchhiker waiting for a ride.
    8) The Eagles - Hell Freezes Over -- that's funny because it was said that hell would freeze over before the band members would ever work together again, and then they did this live album together.
    9) Frank Zappa - Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar -- good name for an instrumental album.
    10) Ozzy Osborune - Blizzard of Ozz.

      Hahahaha I remember that TYpe O Negative Greatest Hits! LOL Reminds me of that Dream Theater compilation called Greatest HIT... LOL
      Ya, someone else mentionned the REO one... clever one and wish i owned it! :)
      I need to get that Roger Waters one.... The Who Sell out if plain genius!
      Yes, Hell Freezes Over is also genius! :)
      Blizzard of Ozz was mentionned in the original creator's thread, so thats the reason I did not mention it.... :)
      Zappa has MANY clever titles, but I only wanted one per band!
      Thank you for watching and sending more suggestions! :)

    WOW, Dan: massive Dangerous Toys fan here, I never knew about the Prince-relation to that album title ( I just wondered since 20+ years...😮‍💨) , as I never followed him and didn't know it.
    Also as a non-English-motherlanguage speaker I never knew about that Aerosmith meaning intended to be. So I learned two things in this episode!
    PS: My favorite for this would be *Killer Dwarfs - Stand tall* and that cover could have been done a little better, they should be really dressed as dwarfs! 🤣

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад

      LOL Here in North America, you had no choice to follow or not follow Prince... this move about changing his name was all over the news... as for his album cover parodied by DT, I knew of it but couldn't tell you which song is on it... :)
      And you're welcome for teaching you about Aerosmith's "nuts"... :)
      As for KD, yeah, i think the "dwarf" idea was only used on the first album cover... and a few of their videos... and their names... LOL

    I've always liked Mr.Big's album title Bump Ahead. With the album cover "bump a head". Skid Row's B- Side Ourselves Ep title was good too.

    • @offthecharts2272

      Mr Big had lots of clever album titles actually... especially the first 4-5 albums... and yes, great idea for the Skid Row EP... forgot about that one!

    Aerosmith did switch the title on the back of that album cover. It's painted on the cave on the front as Night In The Ruts, but in the photo on the back, the letters are reversed on either a sign or a rock, (although I think Steven Tyler's leg obscures one of the letters, probably so stores wouldn't complain, but the other letter has clearly been reversed so as to imply Right In The Nuts).

    Frank Zappa - Zoot Allure?
    I also find Frank Zappa - Ship Arriving Too Late to Save the Drowning Witch, along with the cover to be quite clever/funny/awesome
    Another one I always found fun and clever even though I never heard their music is punk band Gang Green - I81B4U, which is a response to OU812 from Van Halen
    Also the folk-metal band Skyclad have made it a career of having album titles be puns, such a The Silent Whales of Lunar Sea (pun for "the silent wails of lunacy"), Vintage Whine, Folkémon and reaching a bit with Oui Avant-Garde à Chance (belaboured pun for "we haven't got a chance")

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад

      Hahaha Yep! You got it for Zoot Allures! :) And yes, Ship Arriving too late is also clever/funny/awesome! :) I just wanted to post one from him..
      Ha! I was not aware of Gang Green :) Great one!
      And those puns! Some are pretty clever! Good choices! Some you really have to think about (and with help from your explanation) :)

    • @UncleDaffy313
      @UncleDaffy313 3 месяца назад +1

      Those are great! Especially the Skyclad. Never heard about the Gang Green title, but love it. And that's another great Zappa album. Keep in mind, he is the artist who asked Does Humor Belong in Music as a title. 🙂

    I've never heard of White Heat but there is s pop goup out there called Evan and Jarron, though im not necessarily a fan, their first album was also called "We Never Heard of You Either".... one of my favorite album titles as well lol

      Oh boy! There is ANOTHER album called "We Never Heard of you Either"???? Jeez.... and I thought the title was the only original thing from the White Heat album... :) Now to go search which one came out first...

    Oh and just for the pleasure of putting that band's name on Dan's channel: Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles - A Vulgar Display of Obscurity, complete with a cheap imitation cover of Pantera's way less obscure A Vulgar Display of Power :-)

      Bahahahahahaha! I have never heard of that! I just went and googled it... :) Seems it's a parody band! LOL GREAT CHOICE! Made me chuckle!

  • @UncleDaffy313
    @UncleDaffy313 3 месяца назад +1

    Wow, I forgot about Sheik Yerbouti. That is a much better Zappa choice than the one I put!
    Thought of a couple more during the video:
    Van Halen - OU812. My friend thought it was just weird, along the lines of Yes - 90125. But I pointed out it's like one of those joke license plates with meaning. Like if I said, "I had a sandwich for lunch," and you replied, "Oh, you ate one, too?"
    Blackfoot - Vertical Smiles. It's family RUclips, so can't elaborate on the meaning, but think about it. I think the cover showed a woman's crotch in a leotard.
    Van Halen - For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge -- funny because of what the abbreviation of that title spells out. Kind of like the April Wine song, "If You See Kay." I'm sure THAT one never got played on the radio!

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад +1

      Ya, i ALMOST put Van Halen in here... OU812 and F.U.C.K. (the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge one wasn't just clever, it was actually educational as that's what the accronym actually meant (I learned in school way before that album came out) :)
      I will go check out the Blackfoot one... you've piqued my curiosity and I love that stuff! :)
      If You See Kay... I know THREE artists that used that title for a song... April WIne being the first, then TUrbonegro... and Britney Spears believe it or not...

    • @UncleDaffy313
      @UncleDaffy313 3 месяца назад +1

      @@offthecharts2272 I was going from memory when describing the Blackfoot cover. I was actually mixing it up with another album. The title is correct, Vertical Smiles, but that one shows about a dozen Polaroid pictures of women's lower halves, so it's still pretty similar. The other album cover I was mixing it up with was Montrose - Jump On It.

    • @offthecharts2272
