Yes. Even old towels, duvets etc. My local vet also takes donations. I'm sure the likes of a vet can never have enough towels or blankets so it could be worth ringing around. Animals get very cold coming out of anesthetic so most use loads in that instance. My local vets use donated blankets and towels to wrap pets who have been put to sleep if owners want to take them home so owners don't have to worry about washing blankets or leaving one behind at a pet crematorium. I'd be suprised if our vets were unique in that.
I think Nick gets major kudos for walking in from work, expecting you to be packing, and finding you sitting on the floor going through memorabilia, and just being so calm.

17:16 I’ve been dreaming about having that kind of induction with the stove hood built in but they are awfully expensive. If you don’t like it to blow on your feet, you can put an extension piece on the end of the pipe to move the direction of blowing. I will be looking forward to watch all the decorating vlogs from your new home ❤
I absolutely love the story about nik being locked out and then you went straight back to the completely irrelevant memory box that you weren’t supposed to be looking in. The perils of being easily distracted, I do sympathise.

Not sure about the UK, but (and this is for future reference or anyone in the comments that might be wondering) things like plastic containers (especially food related) are usually up to the independent charity shops/thrift stores. In the States, I’ve seen some that will take them but also some that won’t. The best way to find out is to call. For cushions, blankets, towels, pillows, etc. trying reaching out to animal shelters/rescues. Especially smaller ones, they are usually always asking for those types of items. They may also take the plastic containers to store food/treats.

Here in US where I live, we just put things out front with a free sign and people always take them.

If you have items to get rid of in the future (both food and non-food), use Olio. I have found there is always someone local that wants whatever you're listing. Like you, I hate to throw out things just because I am done with it, especially when there is still lots of life left in it.
Just downloaded. 2 people near me only. Nothing listed. 😢 But I def need to find something better than FB Marketplace to sell stuff!
I downsized from a 4 bedroom with big garden to a 2 bedroom bungalow with small garden. It took 3 months to box everything up and still had to go to the tip/charity shop to just get rid of stuff. I had to look after the dog on moving day so went from my old house at 7am to the new house in the evening and boxes were everywhere. I labelled boxes with room and also number of boxes (had a list of them to check) and they just dumped everywhere. It took days to find everything.
Yay, day four.
Did anybody else have the blog from four years ago pop up as a Vlog for and jump on it and then realize this is the house they just moved out of or am I alone in that? I just love watching jazzy.

I've literally had to stop then come back to the vlog, several times, I am so anxious because I know THE CLOCK IS TICKING! I would honestly be procrastinating, not this close to the final day,
I bring each of my neighbors a bottle of wine before moving or being loud for sometime. Usually softens people up

Just a bit of a hack if you are struggling with sticky stuff use a hairdryer to heat it up a little which should help, x

If you ever struggle with what to do with your pans or tupperwear ask your local primary school/nursery I can guarantee they would love them for the kiddos mud kitchens and outdoor play

Charity shops 100% take cushion and everything else she mentioned where I live but maybe that's just where I'm from. Weird they don't where they are from what a shame. But she shouldn't feel bad if she can't donate them it's not her fault. Maybe the charity shops stopped taking cushions during the pandemic but are again now. I would call the charity shops helpline the big chains all have a number to ask and let them know if u have a big item to give. We asked once to donate a sofa and the charity even picked it up as they transport them to a bigger shop somewhere els.

I wish I lived by you I'd take that stuff! You're very right people like me who can't afford much love finding nice things like that at thrift stores. Just about everything I own is from thrift stores or was bought through the market place 2nd hand or given to me second hand.

I know you said it would be to late but at least in my area in the US we have Facebook groups in our neighborhood called “buy nothing “ groups where we can post stuff to gift to people who need them.

As someone who frequency charity shops, the brand Tupperware in particular is a very coveted product, specially vintage from the 80s and the 90s the knock off dupes not so much
Could have put them on Olio or Vinted x

If in doubt on how to get new homes for your cushion or anything else you can put it on face book market place someone will love your cushion or anything else you need to re home fab video as always only just found you and you both make me laugh especially your say it or shot it I’m now making hubby do this sooo funny love you both xx

Charity shops will take tapperwear, they will refuse electronicals unless it is stated. Or ring the charity shop to ask what they would accept.

Not sure if the UK has domestic abuse shelters like we do in the States. They take Clothes, blankets, dishes, pillows, canned foods and some small furniture. They give it to women and their children that are trying to start over after leaving an abusive relationship.

I've noticed you younger people don't like to make phone calls,🤔 can you not make a phone call and ask someone? Anywhere if there accept the containers. My kids will have a complete melt down cause they can't find info online🤨 I don't understand ? Does no one talk on the phone anymore , I mean I don't want to talk to people either ,but if it's driving me to tears sweetheart ,I'd call the shop and ask.
