JustAnswer Customer: My waterpik just stopped working correct.
JustAnswer Customer: No water comes out but the motor is still working.
JustAnswer Customer: It started last night.
JustAnswer Customer: Today, I put vinegar and water.
JustAnswer Customer: It worked perfectly, like it was brand new.
JustAnswer Customer: Then I filled the reservoir again with powder that is used to help the teeth.
    JustAnswer Customer: Now again nothing.
JustAnswer Customer: I poured it out and tried the same thing with vinegar and water, but no luck.
    JustAnswer Customer: Any suggestions?
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Hi good afternoon, how old is your waterpik system?
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Have you descaled this one in the past?
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: ThanksTech Michael
JustAnswer Customer: Old, but when it works spits out water very hard If fact worked perfectly twice today but stopped working when I turned it off and started to use it again
JustAnswer Customer: I suspect some thing is blocking the water from coming through
JustAnswer Customer: the motor runs but no water leaves.
JustAnswer Customer: no I have not.
JustAnswer Customer: Do not know what that means.
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Hi this may very well be a clog in the pump.
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: The method you described may work but did the pump fail all at once or did it seem to slowly get weaker as far as the stream of water is concerned?
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Thank youTech Michael
    JustAnswer Customer: all at once
JustAnswer Customer: and then it can work perfectly later or not work at all - that is the pump runs but no water
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Thank you for that, this isn't a blockage unfortunately.
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: This is a failed pump impeller.
Michael: Small Appliance Technician: Below is the place you need for this repair kit.

If it’s a WP667 and you clog/block the pump for a considerable time, the drive end of the internal piston (which is a plastic ring that fits around a short offset peg that extends off the side of the drive gear) could be cracked/broken and is no longer able to pull the piston back and pump water when the gear turns. If so, you need a new piston.

DID YOU HEAR THE PART WHERE HE SAID IT STOPPED? EXPERT? I think the "expert" has left the room.

It is rather obvious a waterpik is not designed to handle powder, only water. If the pump is still OK, and not damaged, it would have to be cleaned out. I guess this video is nothing more than an advert for repair business.
