The Buchtln at Station Baumgartner are an absolute must if you're there 😍 They also have great Kaspressknödelsuppe.
Depending on your ambitions I may have some hiking suggestions if you need or want any 😁
A few years ago I was also barely making it to the top, now I still get tomato-faced and I huff and puff all the way up, but I usually keep to the suggested way-times, which is always surprising to me in the end.

Cows: They're usually curious, they're watching you, but they're usually relaxed. At least as long as they don't feel endangered themselves.
This may be due to dogs, especially when the cows have young. I`m Bavarian and like hiking the mountains. Almost at every hike I meet cows. I keep my distance if possible, but when I need to come close to them, then I talk to them in a relaxed voice. Never ever had any bad experience.
But for sure the news talk about some incidents - usually then dogs are involved (or weird behaviour by humans). Consider yourself as intrudor to their terrain.
