Well apparently this was before he started smoking constantly. And this sounds awesome. He was spot on when he went high, no problem. Now his voice has gotten very fragile and he strains automatically. He supposedly decided to try once again to quit smoking a few days ago so we'll see what happens. They said they mite be coming to CT in june so i hope so, i wanna see a kickass show.
amen to that, last time i watched a live performance was in poukipsee ny and it was terrible, he was either extremely flat or a little sharp. in this he's actually really good
@stld123 That's because it's in a totally different key... Like an octave lower or something. They didn't have a lot to work w/ since they didn't have drums... or room. Lol.
He's a lot better when he relaxes and sings in a lower key. When I watched a live feed from one of their shows a while back, I turned it off because it was so bad.
i think this is good, it just sounds different cuz its acoustic people...and no one sounds perfect live, so get over it, everyone is so used to everything being studio-perfect that people have forgotten what good singing actually is
i think he's afraid to sing high live cos he's afraid his voice will break. he also doesn't dare to sing high for other songs like Your Guardian Angel. His voice can actually hit really high, I don't know why he doesn't dare to sing high live ._.
I've heard them live and they were great, seriously, people need to stop going on about his voice. No live performance sounds the same as the album, so if that's what you were expecting, then that is kind of ridiculous. He may not be the best vocalist technically, but his vocals work well in Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Just stop going on about it, every video.. ? seriously? It's getting beyond repetitive.
