Hi Cari! Hi Reid! Hi Ellie! Hand, foot, and mouth, goodness! I’m so glad that you’re all healed and well now. I had to look it up, and it looks so painful. 😢 I love the trip that you made to the farmers market. The pickled mango looks so delicious! Okay, how is it that the years are flying by?!? Ellie was just born, and now she’s asking for papaya? She’s sooooo cute, and entering the best age ever. I so miss my son at that age! Your butter mochi looked amazing! I will definitely give this recipe a try, as I have never had it with a crunchy coconut topping.
We are going to be having a 22 family member reunion on Oahu in a month from now. My only living uncle on my dad’s side is there, so I’m super excited to see him and my cousins. If I am blessed to see you folks while out on the streets, while shopping, you can bet that I will say ‘hi, and thank you for your channel,’ to you. 🥰 Take care and thank you for sharing your amazing family recipes!

Papaya grows very well, even from seeds. Harvests the following year. I have several papaya trees that i grew from seeds in the Big Island. So delicious and sweet.

Watching you show the pickled mango made my mouth water. Miss pickled mango from back home in Hawaii. I had to chuckle hearing Reid's 8.5/10 rating. Next episode....part 2...Reid sharing and making his Aunty's butter mochi!

Hi Cari, Thanks for the vlog! Butta Mochi definitely one of my favorites. Since Reid mentioned his Antie's butter mochi is the standard, he has to make it and share. Good luck with the papaya tree. i planted a guava tree about 10 years ago and I still haven't gotten any fruit from it. All the other things I planted are producing, except for the guava. I have orange, grapes, apples, and an almond tree.

Thanks, Miles! And I will ask Reid if he can share his aunties recipe! I would also like to try that too!

When you were eating the pickle mango I could actually smell it. Seriously no kidding not the mochi but the mango.
Food companies should hire you. You give the food justice it looks delicious when you eat it.
Maybe your niece would like it without the coconut shreds, I’ve only made it without coconut. Maybe for a little girl like Aiko the consistency of the coconut is to rough.
    Thumbs up

Aloha Cari, glad to hear all of you are feeling better. I'm going to see if I can make this recipe one day (I love butter mochi). I remember making your fried rice recipe 1 1/2 yrs ago and it was delicious.
