Maria, you just keep "Bringin it"...YOU GO!! I mean learning ho Ramen can be turned into such CRAZY YUMMY meals. AWESOME! And, it makes so much. ALWAYS a plus. I did feel bad...lol watching you stir it up with the one spoon. It looked like you were having a hard time getting it all to blend well. When I'm mixing spaghetti pasta, I use two big forks or tongs. It makes it so much easier to mix/blend everything. Please remember, we are so very grateful for ALL YOU DO to share these FAB MEALS with us. Thank you loads!! Arlene

You could use 1 pork ground pork to 2 parts ground beef to make 2 meatloafs, could cook one and put the other one in the freezer for later. Great job Maria.

Maria, you are doing a great job in letting people know what they can do with what they have but adding a little “pizzazz”. This reminds me a lot of how my mom cooked. Work with what you got. Be blessed as much as you are to us. Keep up the great work.

The Ramen meals look great! I like using ground pork a couple of different ways. I like making easy BBQ pork sliders/sloppy Joe's. Cook the ground pork the as you would ground beef. When it's cooked thru, add BBQ sauce. I eyeball it and add BBQ sauce until the mixture is the same consistency of sloppy Joe's. You could saute some onions and peppers with the pork too. I serve it on potato rolls, sometimes with a pineapple ring. If I find canned sauce, like Manwich on sale, I skip the BBQ sauce and just make it like regular sloppy Joes, I still use the peppers and onions. Works great with ground chicken and turkey, too!
Another great way to use ground pork is to make homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. In a bowl, mix the pork with breakfast sausage seasonings, can't remember off the top of my head but its easy to find a recipe. I cook it like I would a roll of breakfast sausage, then add a couple tablespoons of butter, then make a standard milk gravy. Yummy over fresh, hot biscuits.
I've also used ground pork the same way I use ground beef to make meat sauce for pasta. Brown it the same way, add onions, peppers and garlic, add your fave marinara. I've used ground pork everywhere I'd use ground beef and it turns out great. Just not for burgers. Ground pork burgers tend to turn out a bit dry for me. I haven't tried it yet, but a friend suggested freezing a stick of butter, grating about 1/2 the stick into the pork, mix evenly, season, form and cook like regular burgers. The fat adds moisture and flavor. And really, is adding butter to anything ever a bad thing? Lol

Just a tip- as a non-Asian who lived and cooked with Asians for years, and who still cooks predominantly Asian food- I would not recommend frying with Sesame Oil, in general (or toasted sesame oil at least) for lack of a better term, it tends to “burn” at higher temperatures, and can loose most of its flavour, you’re probably better off frying with a neutral vegetable oil and just adding a few drops-1tsp at the end and stirring it through. Otherwise these look amazing and I’m DEFINITELY going to try them!!!🤷‍♀️👍🏻

Marshall Creek Spices sells two types of clean sausage seasoning blends. You can buy a sample packet of each for about 3.99 plus s/h. That is an option for the ground pork. They also sell a lot of other items that are hard to find.

Great recipes! I grew up a latch-key kid so ramen noodles are comfort food for me. My favorite easy lunch I call egg ramen and have taught my nieces how to make it. I boil the noodles and in a bowl I scramble an egg and add a little butter then microwave it for 20 seconds and mix again. I add the cooked noodles to the egg with a little of the water and half the seasoning packet. Top with chopped chives/scallions. Sometimes I add frozen peas to the water while the noodles cook. Sometimes I microwave the egg a little longer so it’s less creamy and more like scrambled eggs. 🍜

Ok, I made a comment about todays video, saying I was going to make the first one you shared for dinner tonight. I made it, I didn't have the ground pork so made it with ground beef, it was so very good. I did add some more of the seasoning because I wanted more flavor but everyone is different so go with that. If anyone isn't sure about making this because they just don't know, I say make it, I know I am keeping this recipe so I can keep making it. I didn't have a coleslaw mix so did what you said and shredded up about half a cabbage and one large carrot. It made enough for leftovers for tomorrow, Bonus!

1:19 in: 2T of sesame oil is incorrect. Especially for high heat cooking.
It would overwhelm the dish and scorch.
I’d use reg neutral oil and drizzle the sesame oil on the nearly finished dish, after you add in the noodles.
5:27 in: this is where I’d use the sesame oil. Stir fry with neutral high heat oil. Finish with sesame drizzle
Just my opinion from my Culinary education/experience.

@@Olive_O_Sudden I do appreciate your Google input, Olive.
      Yes that is somewhat correct.
I’ll put my Chef hat on… (I actually did attend a CIA* program for an actual Degree)
Although, in my experience, it just isn’t done that way.
I’m not going to debate smoke points or flavor profiles 🤷🏼‍♀️
I grew up with Korean adopted family in our home-
I buy my noodles without the flavor packet…
My cabinet of flavorings is extensive.
Including Gojuchjang paste, also gochugaru powders in varying strengths.
Shall we discuss different soy sauces and their proper uses🤭😂
It’s alright to substitute with what you have.

@@Olive_O_Sudden ✌🏼👍🏻 Can I just go out on a limb and state (with some confidence)
Most people will not have anything but dark sesame oil- generally purchased for a specific recipe, in their cabinets. Especially if they are not reaching for the red tub of Gojuchjang….
I think, we are in the minority, regarding a certain extreme level of multi cultural sauces, condiments and spice. 😉(I am only referring to our conversation here)
A pastry and baking program is excellent. I certainly did mine as well.
One major difference: pastry and baking are far more science based.
You must have scaled proportions, so you get the results desired.
Culinary (the other end, for those who have never been in a professional kitchen) allows one a lot more leeway and freedom…. Hence it being referred to as Culinary Arts….
I am not saying that someone’s Granny’s biscuit recipe made by eye and feel wont be “as proper or text book correct”~I’m speaking of professional kitchens, not anything else.
Since you state you live in one of the most cosmopolitan cities ~ I’m willing to bet,
you can find at least, an Asian or Korean market. Or maybe an area🤷🏼‍♀️
Many smaller stores sell homemade kimchi, sometimes several types and many other banchan (side dishes, for the other viewers).
Mom and Pop run kind of places.
Buy a small jar; older kimchi is better in fried dishes or stews. IMO
We did have a kimchi fridge in my youth (I am of no Asian heritage, some polish and several others in my mix, yes)
There are a few RUclips videos on small batch kimchi that might help solve your problem
You might try Coconut Aminos as a soy sauce exchange. It’s also vegan.
Maggi is also great to boost gravy, soups, stews etc.
      Enjoy your weekend ✌🏼😉
