As someone who has been diagnosed with major depression and a couple of suicide attempts i feel this song. Justin Bieber once you give it all to God that loneliness, he will turn tragedy into triumph. I went from nothing and now I have a job that lets me help people with drug addiction and mental illness. I went through major depression after my divorce. You have this plan for life and when it all goes away, you feel lost. People are there but for pity when all you want is understanding and you feel Lonely. Hearing this song while I was going through just opened the flood gates of tears. Somehow, it helped.

When my daughter was 12, she showed me The videos of this amazingly talented boy who was getting so much attention, and I explained to her how vulnerable he was, to people who would see him as a source of profit. I prayed for him, as I prayed for my 3 children, asking for him to be protected. Each time he was making the news, I would feel so much tenderness and compassion, as a mother I knew that this huge success could be dangerous for his mental health. I felt that I wanted to reach out to tell him that our family would welcome him as one of us if he needed the warmth and care only a family can give. But I never reached out and I am sorry. He was just a kid who needed to have a normal relationship with a family. I hope that now that he has found a life partner, he will be able to have a fulfilling family life, and the support he missed as a young boy.
I agree with you 100% I am also a mom, my daughter was very young when he became famous and she wasn’t interested, but as time passed I would see him falling into this dark hole, I thought I was the only one wishing him well. Now I’m so glad there’s someone like me out there who thinks the same and shares the same feeling and ideas towards him. I also felt this way with Macaulay Culkin. I wanted to reach them to offer them my support, and I wish they didn’t had to go through all this because it really breaks my heart to the last piece, specially now that I hear Justin singing this, confirming what I had suspected for years, is terrible 😞 the only thing we could do is pray, and wish them the best 🙏
