My wife was on ventilator 23 days. After the hydrochloroquine, zinc, zpac xtra vit c she finally was getting better and went to take her off ventilator. Thats when we found out she had stroke or strokes. The frontal lobe and cerebellum affected. Neurogolist that had her for 7 days said brain dead, no hope. Family said go ahead and pull off ventilator at that time 100% ventilation. With prayers from 100's of people she started breathing on her own 85% only needing 15% oxygen. This was april 20th. Everyday since little by lityle improvement. Her memory is coming back. Been getting all therapies since may 7th. With Gods blessings She going to come out this in pretty good shape. My son who is disabled has bad pulminary disease was admitted different hospital march 25 same day as wife instantly was given hydrochloroquine treatment zinc, zpac, extra c, and a steroid shot in the belly every day. He was released only 6 days in hospital..when admited double pneumonia 102 fever.

Following a small Christmas family celebration (Dec 2020) My 83 year old relative was driving home and on the way he experienced confusion and had to pull over. His wife was extremely concerned because she had never seen her husband not be in total control and he had not had any alcoholic drinks/drugs that could explain his fast growing mental confusion. The wife took over the wheel and drove her husband to the emergency room and the couple was given covid tests and both were positive. Due to lack of space in the hospital, the couple was told to go home and take it easy because there was no space available to care for them at the hospital (Orange County, Ca.). Now approximately 15 days later, the man was placed in longterm memory assisted healthcare facility because he lost all control over his life...not even understanding what a toilet is for and peeing himself, etc. This man lived a clean life, was of normal weight/health and had never experienced mental facility loss before....AND he felt completely fine before and during the get together.

It burned my brain and my eye for 2 days as it slowly traveled around my skull. At the end of the illness My neck started tensing up and the top of my head started hurting too bad I swear it swelled up and I put ice packs, tens unit and many pain meds. Nothing helped. I couldn’t open my eyes and I prayed to die. I cried and cried and begged for death. It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Never want to feel that again

Boi leve 4 labs, we have them so does china, washu china admits there have been protical mistakes, more than 5 times inthe last 2 years, so we the usa were probably studying this in bats before it turned into covid-19 which is the same thing sars covid2 for bio weapons!! Without much detail, I know the when it' says on a tombstone the person perished of an infection. I just know 'You' have saved my life twice. The first time I was told the infection was found in my blood an I needed to get to surgery pronto. Just the way the Doctor said it showed empathy and caring. One hour to figure it out and not more than one to wheel me up to the operating room. I remember I inhaled deeply and I was comfortably and safely out for the Surgeon to focus. Thank You.

Not even close. The areas hit by ebola outbreaks are horror movies. With a mortality rate of up to 90% but averaging only 50%, it is fortunately only spread by bodily fluids. Unfortunately, victims leak bodily fluids from virtually the entire surface of their bodies. Still too far from home? Talk to a combat veteran, if he will talk about it, to understand what war is like. What we are experiencing in the US now is a shadow of what people in Caracas have lived with for years.
We are living our lives. These are the jokes, folks, so we might as well laugh. This time is not in the ten worst things that have happened to me, maybe in the top hundred but I doubt it. If I catch it, at age 67, I won't like it but I very much doubt it will be in the top ten worst things, even if it slowly chokes me to death. Life is like that.

Positioning for that exam would be horrible for anyone beginning shock and intubation and confusion. I cannot get over how BAD this total syndrome is for anyone with premorbid conditions mentioned. To lessen suffering is so key. Having a Living Will and directions to families -done ahead of time -seems very important.
    Thank you.

My husband works in the service industry and in March when everything started to go down he got sick brought it home to me and I called Dr on demand but since I hadn't been out of the country the Dr just assumed I had some common cold. I realized covid 19 was what we had when I started to read the symptoms. I lost sense of smell and taste and that was very unusual for me during a common cold. Thankfully we've both recovered, and are not dealing with any long-term complications due to covid 19.

Being a COVID 19 survivor, I thank you! It was and still is a scary process... I came here to wonder why my brain went completely numb (like severe feeling of pins and needles) during my sickness and caused left side numbness in my face. With sensitivity that I touch my head after being negative with COVID & also severe head pains that occurred only when moving! Which was only one of the many symptoms you go over, weeks later of my sickness it looks like I have organ pains that I never had when being sick and now I understand why. Thank you Doc!

CPAP is a whole different thing. It would probably help with getting air into the lungs, but ARDS patients also have trouble getting CO2 out. CPAP would make that worse. Intubation is not ideal but the patients for whom it is indicated would have little hope without it.

It's because the media sends mixed signals, as do our "experts". When nobody can agree on policy and what is accurate science -- or what is even based in science at all -- is it any wonder why nothing gets done about it? FFS, 6 feet apart is NOT rooted in science and yet it's taken as gospel. They told us not to wear ANY masks back in January, February and even into March. Not even our own homemade ones, which are now somehow okay (even though they won't stop virus particulates from permeating the material and spreading anyway).
Then, we have the Hydroxychloroquine debacle. A respected journal known as the Lancet had to retract the findings that HCQ caused higher death rates because the 'research" was bogus and politically motivated. The media ran with it, and yet when the retraction happened, it was barely a blip on the MSM radar; quietly shuffling it under the rug). Even science and medicine has been politicized now.

Look it’s bad. The numbers in the end will tell the story. We should have 0 deaths. However, this virus got out. So it is what it is. I don’t think it will be as bad as some of my science colleagues think. Look, if you had a love one die it’s always bad. I’m speaking form a health and science stand point. They have been wrong on the model from the beginning. So here is is my question. What are you going to do? Stay in your house forever? Do you know there has never been a good or even a Corona virus Immunization that has worked? Or an RNA virus Immunization. They fact is most healthy people survive this. If showing any symptoms at all. Most people that die from this you can’t say with a 100% it’s the virus. We are talking about most people with CAD, HTN, DM. Obesity, bad inflammatory Dz as well as oxidative stress that these people live in. Has a young healthy person die from this? Yes. I had a college football player patient die from influenza A. Due to a Viral induced Cardiomyopathy. This kid was a top notch athlete. And died from the flu. You want to watch a dashboard of teenage car crash deaths?! It will blow your mind. So please if some people on this comment section want to debate I will be happy to. Just don’t shoot your mouths off and bring no facts.

I had Covid-19 in Sept 2019 and I had all the symptoms including having difficulty breathing but I thought maybe I had pneumonia. I went to the hospital, got sent to a room, waited, and finally the doctor came in and checked me. He left and a nurse came in and drew some blood. After a wait he came back and sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics and a letter for work. He said they will contact me for the results within the week. 4 days past and they called me and told me that I had no signs for cancer and such, but that I didn't have any virus either and just suggested to rest and take my antibiotics until I was better. So, for 3 weeks (the first week was hell) I was bedridden and the only time I got up was to go to the washroom, or to make some soup, or to get a drink of water. Soups get old fast but I was too ill to cook anything or go out and get something. I don't order delivery either because to me it's an extra expense. By week 3 I was starting to get much better and the feeling of not being able to fully get a breath of air was finally starting to fade away. When I finally got back to work I found out that almost all of my colleagues were sick and absent at the same time that I was. We all talked about our ordeal, compared our symptoms which were all pretty much bang on, and wondered what we had. Now, we all believe that we had Covid-19 and survived it and our ages ranged between 30 and 60 years old.

Another friend who got it already had health issues. He survived, but suffers from fatigue and blood clots. His wife got it, but was asymptomatic. My aunt died in a nursing home diagnosed as Covid. She kept complaining about shortness of breath. What they all had in common was they were former smokers. My son works on Medivac plane. Hard time breathing and dizzy upon getting out of car to get food. Rushed to nearest ER. Upon trying to get out of car, collapsed unconscious on ground outside ER. 26 minutes CPR to get heartbeat. Taken inside to ER. Diagnosis: Persistent Vegetative State due to cardiac arrest and lack of oxygen to brain. Can only barely open and close eyes, otherwise no movement or speech. Placed on ventilator. Taken off just a feed days ago and is in CPAP machine overnight and has feeding tube. Heart tests normal but no MRI due to ventilator. CT Scan reveals some brain stem activity such that he can still sleep and awaken. I am certain COVID attacked his heart in some way because he was doing well as a kidney patient before COVID.

    I read in a Reader's Digest over
30 years ago that the Kawasaki
    Syndrome occurred mostly in
    male infants or young toddlers
    was attributed to carpets that
    had been recently shampooed.
Had to do with the chemicals
    that were used. Babies crawling

I tried to have an autopsy done on my sister who died suddenly three days after receiving chemo. A doctor's report showed that a ct scan no longer detected colon cancer but they wanted to give her 1 more dose of chemo to make sure. The medical Examiner refused to do an autopsy b/c she had been diagnosed with cancer. I believe , according to how she was found, that she aspirated on her vomit in her bathroom. So no..... you cannot just request an autopsy and get it done.

May I recommend a very good book: 'HOW WE DIE: REFLECTIONS ON LIFE'S FINAL CHAPTER' by Sherwin B Nuland, MD (1995; Vintage Books). The book is wonderful for helping human beings to gain a sense of maturity in the face of our mortality. ALL people die. The elderly are those who have been fortunate to have full, hopefully fulfilled, lives. Others die in childhood and adolescence. Those are the tragedies.

I can’t ever remember being so sick had my son not taken me to the ER I would not be here today. If that was not bad enough I ran a high fever for 3 weeks before I was taken to the ER and fell and broke my hip so I was a mess ended up having to be in the hospital for 2 weeks. I have not been the same since I had covid.

Young "healthy" people that got it bad, but not so severe they had cytokine storm, were also affected by loss of taste and smell. So I'm thinking that aspect might be to do with Zinc deficiency. That is one of the symptoms and if our cells are full of zinc, the virus can't replicate, so we wouldn't be sick in the first place. Perhaps what little zinc there was in their system, was further depleted by the virus, causing the loss of taste and smell. We need zinc and an effective ionophore.

    • @KekeeBlack
      @KekeeBlack 4 года назад +4

Another study said that taking vitamin C supplements does not help, I think this has to do with widespread zinc deficiency. Vitamin C can’t help the immune system without zinc and an ionophore. I’m taking quercetin with zinc (an absorbable form) and a gram of vitamin C. It can’t hurt to try to prevent it. I think vitamin C probably is effective in the presence of adequate zinc and fat soluble vitamins.

    Great video Dr. Hansen.
One thing I have to question is the idea that "just being sick enough to be admitted to the ICU is enough to cause delirium" being an accurate statement. That might be akin to saying old age is enough to cause you to be ill. My mother-in-law just went through an extended period of delirium. It was tempting to say, "Oh, she's old, it must be dementia." Upon further investigation it was discovered that her medications were causing electrolyte and metabolic imbalance. After a thorough reevalution her meds and dosages were corrected. Her mental status was markedly improved and she was able to return to her normal ADLs at home.
I'm not trying to lecture. I spent many hours doing 'one-on-ones' with patients experiencing "delirium." There was nearly always a specific underlying cause (i.e., postop, drug overdose, alcohol withdrawal, etc.).
Generalizing with acute patients is not a good idea.

I know of two COVID patients in my environment that had mild disease (up to bilateral pneumonia) and months after the disease, still suffer from confusion and speaking problems.
It would not be surprising if the different dominant immune responses, lymphoid and myeloid, translate into severe and mild sickness, and short term and long-term effects respectively that result directly from the viral infection. That would not be good news, as there is a tenfold of such mild cases, and we don't know yet whether they will be more susceptible for a secondary infection with SARS-COV2 or another virus like influenza in fall, possible suffering still from a weakened immune system and organs.

My aunt died on April 15th. She took I'll on April 12th and died within 3 days. This explanation makes sense because my aunt had a serious heart condition, had very bad varicose veins, dementia and poor functioning lungs due to 2nd hand smoke. It all makes sense that she didn't stand a chance against this virus. She had delirium, which fevers can also cause this. No, she was not sent to the hospital. I have done hospice work, and when I spoke with her on facetime on day 2, I saw she was actively dying. With a complete lockdown at that point, sending her to the hospital alone to die would have been torture. My sister and I facetimed the following day and she died several hours later. It is a horrible virus and people need to take precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones.

I tested negative despite having symptoms (the scariest one was difficulty breathing--it felt like something else was in my lungs competing with the air for space). I've read that there is up to a 40% chance of getting a false negative from a swab test. I'd love more information about test accuracy. I don't have antibodies either, but this was unlike any 'flu' I've ever had. Eating homemade chicken soup, oatmeal, and as much fresh fruit as I could every day helped. Also, drinking hot tea and lemon water constantly, and taking Olive Leaf and Mullein made a huge difference. I *made* myself breathe deeply on the days when that was difficult, and lay out in the sun, trying to give my lungs a chance to fill with fresh air. I never had a fever, but dry cough in the week leading up to showing symptoms, then headache, dizziness, shortness of breath (it felt like I developed asthma overnight), fatigue, muscle aches, nausea, and feeling like my body was a mucus factory without needing to blow my nose. Highly recommend having a blood oxygen monitor--I got one after I started to mend, and knowing my level helped ease my mind
