This is one of my favorites films! I'm so glad you liked it.
The main characters are all based on vampires from other vampire movies. Viago = "Interview with the Vampire", Deacon = "The Lost Boys", Vladislav = "Bram Stoker's Dracula"(and the historical figure Vlad the Impaler, of course), Petyr = "Nosferatu", and Nick = "Twilight". Stu is actually just a friend of theirs named Stu Rutherford who's an IT guy. He went on to co-invent the incredible lighting system used in the Valkyrie sequence in Taika's other film "Thor: Ragnarok".
Oh, and yes! Anton the werewolf is played by Rhys Darby, who you noticed also plays Stede Bonnet from Our Flag Means Death! Other OFMD cast in this movie include Madeleine Sami (11:14) who plays Archie in season 2, and Cohen Holloway(the werewolf who calls Viago "Count F*gula") who plays Pop-Pop in the finale of season 2.

You might have figured it out by now, but I guess this version is in German? The beginning text just talks about the annual ball and the convo between Viago and his ex servant Phillip was about how the servant put the wrong postage on his coffin but also how Viago had also promised him eternal life in exchange for serving him. Philip said he’d been waiting all these years and now it’s too late. That’s why Viago said “great to see you!!” And abruptly hung up lol.
Oh and the black and white scene near the end is a “reenactment” of Stu meeting his werewolf pals. 😂

I love your Super-Mario t-shirt. And your accent is kinda cool. Taika Waititi is awesome. Not sure about his remake of 'Time Bandits' - but that's only because I know the original material so well. Big shoes an all. Anywhats, really looking forward to his adaptation of 'Klara & the Sun'. My dream is to work on set for it.
