- 🛑 Goodbye Pillow Face… Hello Facelifts 2.0 - The New Beauty Standard?
Botox and fillers have ruled the beauty world for years, but in 2025, they’re starting to feel so last decade. Say hello to Facelifts 2.0 -the subtle, ultra-customized procedures that are replacing overfilled faces and frozen foreheads.
In this video, we’ll explore:
✨ Why pillow face is OUT (and how filler fatigue set in)
💉 The new wave of facelifts (mini, deep-plane, ponytail-what’s the difference?)
🎬 Hollywood’s biggest beauty secret (how celebs are “aging in reverse”)
💰 The cost of ‘maintenance’ (is this the new Botox?)
📜 The history of facelifts (and why they used to be so obvious)
Facelifts are no longer the dramatic, wind-tunnel effect of the past. They’re discreet, customizable, and increasingly popular among women in their 20s and 30s. But what does this mean for the future of beauty? Are we entering an era where surgery is just another step in the maintenance routine? 🤔
💬 What do you think? Are facelifts the new fillers? Would you ever consider getting one? Let’s chat in the comments! 👇

My mother got a facelift which was scary but once healed it did look like the clock just went backwards on her but unfortunately she got addicted to fillers. Which over time warped her face. Her lip fillers ruined her smile, her natural nice cheekbones turned into making her look like a chipmunk. We told her to stop but she was lying and hiding that she was continuing and how much, called us haters. She went thru a slope of being a plastic surgery monster. She finally saw the light and got some of them undone and regained looking like herself again but all of it couldn’t get it undone. At least she looks human
Wow that’s crazy, I think it can be addictive
Sorry u said chipmunk 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kylie had her fillers dissolved and had a facelift at 27 years old, because of the sagging skin.
That’s wild
Madonna looks absolutely terrifying in that photo🫣
I know lol
This made me LOL 🤣🤣
Looks like the clown from Saw
Outside matches inside
It feels like we're all gonna end up in a Twilight zone episode, ya know the one with the pig face doctors and nurses 😰
Haha probably
We’re basically there 🙃
Yep
😂😂😂
It is sad that people have problems with aging natural 😮
I’m exercising to have my face youthful. I drink water and i eat healthy most days. I am 43 without facelifts, botox. I don’t have any wrinkles because i do a skin routine of my face and my body every day before bedtime. I think it’s possible to stay young with a healthy lifestyle. I also stay away from the sun except from the summer.
Yes I agree. I do the same and have avoided the sun 🌞 since I was 20
@ You look beautiful
Good advice! I drink a lot of water and exercise. ❤
U must take d3 and k2 daily Also zinc and broad spectrum magnesium. Regular exfoliating rejuvenates!
@ i take moringa and collagen. The only vitamins i need. And i eat curcumin in my food often. Some years ago i did facial masks with curcumin and mixed it with milk. Then i took it all over the face and waited until it was dry. Curcumin are so good for the skin and even diseases. I recommend it to everyone. The vitamins you mention are also good 👍😊
A lot of these celebs like Kylie, Lindsey, Christina and Courtney cox all had their excess fillers dissolved so they had to get lifts because there was so much skin sag after. It’s scary because I’m sure many young women getting these fillers don’t see that they may have excess skin sagging if they get them dissolved. Some girls I see are so young it makes me sad. They are so pretty and youthful and don’t need it.
I think aging naturally might be some sort of political statement in the future. I mean, I guess it's a spectrum, with skincare being on the mild end and surgery being on the extreme end. But yeah, Lindsay Lohan and Christina Aguilera legit shocked me. I can only imagine the amount of money they had to spend.
No kidding. I guess you could say Pamela Anderson is doing the natural approach which I appreciate
@@LaurajaneatelierPamela has had a face lift as well.
Fillers never go away. It’s been well documented, the past year.
Thank you for the reminder that I was born beautiful ❤
Thanks for watching 💕💕
@@Laurajaneatelier long time viewer. My bf puts your videos on for me when I've had a tough day. Just got a 2nd job, keen on membership as a treat!
This is all really informative and so honest .. that’s what’s really happening here. But I had to say how much I fell out when this elegant lady next to an Audrey Hepburn throw pillow, casually said “buckwild.” 😂 just thank you for that.
Haha I love using that word in my vocabulary
A lot of my family has had Botox, even my sister and she started in her 20 ' s. I haven't and I'm 44 in bout 2 months but in the past I worked on a Clarins counter so we always had the contouring facial lift which had a massage techniques and certain ways of training the muscles . There is also ultraceuticals ( which is a Australian brand ) but they have a serum and a machine that u uses a machine that trains your muscles. Basically if u have great products and have facials and use these training devices your face should look younger over time ❤❤❤. Great video!!!!!
Do you find the clarion products worked well?
I used to work for an Airline, it is amazing how different the skin of someone who grew up in Oregon vs someone who grew up in California. Oregon has very limited sunlight.
I live in the pacific north west of Canada so I can vouch for that.
Same with people who grow up in Colorado. The sun is so intense there.
I love your videos that discuss medical aesthetics. Thank you for the quality content!
Thanks so much!!
I have had laser treatment but I was in a accident in my 20 ' s and I had scars the side of my face and under my chin and basically the scars were reduced in size and depth. 😊😊😊
I think Brad Pitt is one of the first to be admired for whatever this new facelift procedure is. Before Lindsey Lohan made her big debut, everyone was talking about how amazing he looked and how he shaved off 20 years! It's going to be like DVD players. When they first came out, they were like $1,000. Then they got cheaper and cheaper as they got more mainstream. Same will happen with plastic surgery.
Oh interesting I need to take a closer look at him
I think plastic surgery is okay, as long as the patient is educated about the procedure, outcome, & possible consequences! Also to note, having a great surgeon is so important. Please do your research! :)
I'm excited for my rhinoplasty this year, it's been something I've wanted since being a young teenager. It will make me so much happier mentally
Good for you, good luck!
I also wanna do rhinoplasty but to scary 😮
@ i will try to vlog my experience! It will be done in Istanbul :) in November!!🩷🩷🩷🩷 I'll let you know the pain level😅😅😅🥹
Absolutely love your videos 😊❤
$10-$50,000 is really low for a facelift. Here in California especially doctors who work with celebrities run $150-$250,000.
That clip of them stretching that lady’s skin tight..🤢 I had to look away every time
Haha it’s from a movie called Brazil
It’s definitely supposed to be horrific. There’s a character in Doctor who that is just a trampoline with a face and she’s supposed to be a plastic surgery nightmare. Casandra says “moisturize me!”
@@Laurajaneatelier It's such a great, trippy film.
pillow face is utterly perfect for that look. today's facelifts are crazy. it's uncanny valley to me. it's like they sold their authenticity to the devil, and i hate it. haha. i'm totally ok with my 'sagging jowls' lol, radical acceptance is key! oh yeah, one of my absolute faves, Lana Del Rey, has that look. it's jarring to me. oh, and i brought up Kristin Wigg's work to a friend of mine, and she like, absolutely refused to acknowledge a change, i'm like, whhaaaa?
and yet another great video! love hearing what you have to say!
Thanks so much!!
I'd like to have an upper blepheraplasty (eyelid surgery for my hooded eyes) and I'll be 59 in May. There are 2 plastic surgeons here in the US that do phenomenal and outstanding work named Dr. Carl Truesdale and Dr. Taban. Look them up and see their before and after photos of their patients. Just because we get older doesn't mean we have to be unhappy and live with a haggard look if we can afford to do something about it. Just my two cents. Doctors have gotten way more advanced in plastic surgery among other things.🙂
I agree I think if it’s bother you and you have the funds to do so why not treat yourself
Visible sagging in the crease.
So glad you posted this- very interested in having my hooded eyes addressed when I’m older- I’m 37 now- I have only slight hood, but my eyes are large and prominent (eye makeup is so difficult!) so as I age, I know I might be unhappy. Saving these names.
I’ve had an upper blepharoplasty at the age of 45 in Istanbul Turkey, and I’m totally happy with the result to this very day.
Yes Brad has had some excellent work done.
I’m going to Esthetician school starting in April. I just want to do basic stuff, like facials, and eyebrows.
I'm getting a facelift as soon as possible
Me too menopause destroyed my face. I don’t recognize myself. I look like McGruff the crime dog. 😢
I don’t see the issue with it once a person starts to really age. I’d consider it for sure. It’s just sad to see young girls in their 20s doing so much to their faces though. I saw this one girl asking for a high school graduation nose job and lip fillers.
I’m 42 and I don’t care if I look old or young. Imma baddie
I love your videos!!!
Thanks so much
I think it's important to talk specifically about the consequences and side effects!
Lindsay Lohan looks beautiful. I'd love to see her doctor when it's my time, I'm too young for it now. I hope I can afford it by then.
I love your Kitty Hepburn pillow 🩷🩷🩷
Thank you! She does look good I agree
Her doctor is really good, she looks amazing.
Laura Jane, I think you have beautiful face, skin and eyebrows. I hope you never fool with your face
I really don't like a lot of the celebrity facelifts, along with the glow in the dark teeth. I mean, I don't have them and other people can if they choose too, but I don't aspire to that look at all.
I find it leaves me with a sense that the person is somehow untrustworthy or a bit robotic. I prefer a more natural and relaxed look.
Love your channel - just subscribed. Suggestion: with all the images out there I'd like to see less repeat images in your videos. I love the vintage theme the best. The history stuff you do is great! But I'd love MORE images!
Thank you! It’s super hard finding copyright free images.
Everyone crying about how they want to look like these ghouls meanwhile I hope I age as beautifully as Helen Mirren.
I’d love to have a modern facelift
I'm 33 and plan on to continue getting minimal fillers and botox and a facelift when I'm 41.
I don’t know what this is but it looks amazing. Kind of an artistry indeed, but yeah, let’s see how it goes in 3-5-10 years. I mean botox and fillers did look amazing when it all started… then it went overboard. Wear 50 spf all through your life. All day. Every day. On every latitude.
Yes it will be interesting to see how this pans out
I think cosmetic surgeons are doing amazing job (even if I don’t like them).
But it looks to beautiful to be true, I guess in 10 years we will see the downsides of this new facelifts ?
Ya it will be interesting to see what happens
Tuve que bajarle la velocidad. Buen video
I have never had plastic surgery. I prefer to use frownies, retional, ponds rejuvness cream, thayers skin care products. Its much more affordable.
I haven't tried frownies, but I have been thinking about it! Do you use them for special occasions or when you're getting photos taken? I love Ponds and Thayers. They make my skin feel beautiful!
Many celebrities who are on Instagram use filters. Whatever cosmetic procedures most have had, they don't look natural. I hate my sagging jowels. I had an upper bleph for medical reasons, but the occular plastic surgeon didn't do a good job, and within a year my eyelids were sagging again. I learned later that she should have lifted the outer lid and taken out more of the middle lid. Next time! The rest of my face looks pretty good for someoen who is pushing another decade. I use ice on my face in the morning, then Mario Badescu foaming face cleanser, dew drops, moisturizer, and facial spray.
I’d love any Apple product. Apple is consistently reliable, never crashes and all data is seamlessly transferred from one Apple product to the other.
Ha! I liked the beginning flash from the movie Brazil!!! I'd say we're there or surpassed it by now..a morphed society!
Avocado, Cashews and maple sirup are the best fillers 😅
No doubt 😅
Madonna looks like she was aiming for Jocelyn Wildenstein.
When you have the financial resources, you can look any way you choose.
I’m my view, Madonna has gone WAAAAY too far and has taken things to an unsettling EXTREME.
Hard to believe that she thinks this is an “attractive” look for her. 😳😬
I had a
deep plane facelift, upper blephorplasty, chin implant and a rhinoplasty. I look totally natural. I did have a good surgeon, thats a must. It wasnt that expensive but never make a bargain with your body. I did the facelift and Bleph awake, which saves you money and wasnt painful.
Who did you go to?
Oh wow crazy you were awake. I agree you get what you pay for
@erindefreitas9826 Dr Toohey. He is the best and he keeps it very natural. He is in Newport Beach.
You're braver than me...I had to have eye surgery, twice, for a serious condition. First time local anesthesia wasn't a pleasant experience ( I'll spare the graphic details), second time I requested general anesthesia lol. Same thing happened when I had to remove a benign tumor from my breast when I was 18. Local the first time was...torture, so I got general the second time when unfortunately it came back. Honestly I have a high pain threshold but I could never, especially if the surgery wasn't 100% necessary.
@danyf.1442 There wasn't any pain, and I'm scared of general anesthesia. I had to be put under for the chin implant and the rhinoplasty.
I’m 33 and people have been using the term pillow face since the early 2010 to describe Madonna and Lindsay Lohan. I’m going to stick with tretinoin, sunscreen and Botox. Men with face lifts looked weird. 😂
I also worked at a med spa lol. I got my moneys worth, I spent it on kybella on my double chin 😂
Good evening: These celebrities stay trying to look young. Have they ever heard of Ageing. Madonna looks like Jigsaw from Saw movie franchise.
Haha ya Madonna is scary now
The funny thing is: women perpetuate these “needs” to other women. Men don’t like or encourage this stuff…..🤔
All that filler make them look like they had a reaction to something
I don’t think Marilyn really needed anything you can barely tell a difference
the Problem only a certain expert dr can produce that "the substance" facelift effect
I want one😢
Facelifts are old fashioned. Keep your face and neck out of the sun 100% and your face and neck won't change. Also you may want to try some microneedling. Also please Google: Sun exposure causes wrinkles.
Menopause would like a word.
Once the estrogen goes so does the collagen. There’s nothing you can do to stop it.
Sun causes 90% of visible aging. We all know this.
Im shocked at how young these girls are getting surgery and procedures. Now every day janes are getting plastic surgery, botox and fillers. I guess each to their own, i prefer to save my money and age normally. But im from an older generation where these things werent done beyond Hollywood.
Im going to be that annoying person, but...castor oil. And maintaining the same weight (regardless of how much you weigh).
Kidman and Moore had decent work done
You didn’t mention Korea’s influence.
Who wants to live for ever
We die
Facelift whatever you want?
One day you die old like every other human being.
We get old
We die
Watch Nicole Kidman in the old movie "Dead Calm" she looks like pinnocio.
I love that movie
To be beautiful today you have to be rich!
I know it seems that way
Its always been that way. That's the through line of the video.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like pillow face
