If we talk about the sustain of the Harley Benton, considering the very low price and consequently the wood used for the assembly and the Pickups it is clear that more than that cannot be obtained therefore the difference with a real Telecaster is not so marked but it is very noticeable If we consider the sustain with respect to the song, it must be said that no significant effects have been used to lengthen the sound such as compressors or particular echoes or reverbs. If I had used an effects processor the result would certainly have been better, but I repeat I wanted to try the guitar specifically without effects precisely to evaluate its potential.
Hi, this track was recorded with Garage Band. The base was loaded on a track and the guitar connected directly to a sound card. There are no relevant effects except for a minimum of reverb but almost imperceptible. The idea was to verify the potential of this guitar without adding anything. Hi, thanks for the comment, of course I could have done better on the playing and better for the choice of effects to use, but I wanted to use this guitar using only its pickups to verify that, despite its low cost, it could be acceptable playing it in a famous song. In short, in the end I am satisfied with this guitar.

Allora, in genere quando prendo una nuova chitarra, che sia di un certo valore o meno pregiata, sono solito portarla dal mio liutaio, per rendere lo strumento più adeguato oppure nel caso di qualche imperfezione. In questo caso questa chitarra non ha avuto bisogno di nessun settaggio, il tempo di toglierla dalla scatola e fare questo video. I legni sembrano buoni, assemblati abbastanza bene, il manico è comodo e scorrevole, corde montate 010, un po’ pesante per la verità, ma non molto di più della mia Gibson Les Paul. Unico piccolo difetto estetico la mascherina nera con qualche graffio qua e là ma sostituibile facilmente e con pochi spicci. A livello di suono direi che siamo in linea con una classica Telecaster e mi riferisco soprattutto al Pickup al ponte, mentre il Pickup al manico lo ritengo più caldo e più vicino a una Fender Stratocaster, questo potrebbe non essere un difetto perché giocando con i toni si possono ottenere sonorità che rendono questa chitarra molto più versatile. I pickups hanno un volume e una sensibilità sufficiente, del resto dei buoni Pickup costerebbero molto di più di tutta la chitarra, in ogni caso adoperando un po’ di effettistica classica si risolve. Non ho notato particolari ronzii, sui puliti il suono è abbastanza regolare e anche squillante senza rumore di fondo apprezzabile, sui distorti effettivamente il suono tende ad essere un po’ impastato ma facendo delle correzioni sui toni e sulle simulazioni il suono risulta abbastanza buono. La chitarra tiene perfettamente l’accordatura e le meccaniche anche se non pregiate fanno il loro lavoro. L’action è già molto buona senza modifiche. Ho deciso di tenere così questa chitarra anche se potrebbero essere fatte molte modifiche che la renderebbero una chitarra anche superiore ad una Telecaster di 1500 euro e con poco più di 300-400 euro per cambiare i Pickups, il ponte i selettori e il capotasto. Secondo me non ne vale la pena perché la chitarra va bene così. Usata spesso in sala prove con soddisfazione ma ancora non ho avuto la possibilità di usarla dal vivo. Potrei solo suggerire di fare o far fare un buon settaggio personalizzato in base al proprio stile e alla propria mano.
I tryed to play this along with the backing track and altrough I know it note for note, since there is no drum or bit, it is very tricky respecting the timing...
È vero anch’io ho trovato difficoltà ma non c’è altro modo che visionare bene la tablatura, ed infatti nella mia esecuzione nel fraseggio prima dell’attacco della batteria non c’è una corrispondenza con il brano originale ma l’errore non è nella base ma io che mi ero distratto a non guardare bene la tablatura e il primo fraseggio è stato posticipato mentre dov’era essere eseguito qualche battuta prima 👍😅
