I make help videos for the courses I teach and it is always a fight of saying too much or saying too little. I should do a study on how my particular students benefit from short vs long videos. Which ones take too long, which ones offer too little info.

I am writing a research paper and I will be using a systematic literature review but would like to do my analysis using thematic analysis. I am still confused because I want to know if I can use thematic analysis on quantitative data! Would be good to have your advice and guidance, thank you!!!
it's a difficult question, as traditionally thematic analysis is applied in qualitative, not quantitative research. I am not sure how you can apply it directly to quantitative data, although I suppose it could be applied indirectly in some ways - e.g. patterns observed in the quantitative data (like correlations, trends over time, or differences between groups) can suggest themes or concepts that warrant deeper exploration. In some cases, the themes or patterns identified through quantitative analysis can be interpreted or contextualized using thematic analysis frameworks. This involves discussing how the quantitative findings align with broader themes or narratives in the research field, or how they contribute to theoretical frameworks or models.
@@qualitativeresearcher I have another question: for my topic I found most of my sources use public health surveys (closed questions) - I wonder if thematic analysis is still suitable for this? Thank you
