Hi. Thanks for your video. I am interested in coming here for 2025 January with some friends who are first timers. How do you think this place compares to Hakuba, Nozawa Olsen and Shiga Kogen? I feel easier and cheaper to get accomodation around this area too! 😁
Hi! Thank you for watching! To go to ShigaKogen is far from station, you need to be on a bus more than 1hour. Going to Nozawa and Madarao is nearer. There are lots of accommodations in Nozawa and It has many hot springs. So I recommend Nozawa is the best compare to them. I haven’t been in Hakuba for ages so I have no idea recent Hakuba situation 😅
@@mochinski3194 I am going to Hachimantai Resort, Appi Resort, and Getokogen ski resort from 28.1.2023 - 7.2.2023. A ski tour organised by a Hong Kong Travel Agent. And I myself would like to pay a visit to Nagano sometime in late February to early March, for Hakuba and Shigakogen Resort.
Hello. Thank you so much for watching. The biggest advantage of Madarao is that there are lots of slopes and powder snow. if you like good quality of snow. Nagao is better than Niigata. Hope you enjoy skiing(snowboarding) there!!
To go to Shigakogen, Take a bus from Nagano Station! (Not Iiyama Sta) I’m not sure that there is a vending at Nagano Station. I’m planning skiing Shigakogen this winter!!
@@mochinski3194 Thank you for your reply. Furthermore, I wonder if there is any bus leavigng from Narita Airport to Shigakogen. Any website where I can book the bus ticket in advance. Thanks.
@@mochinski3194 Dear Mr. Mochin. .Thank you very much for your reply. I happened to find another web site namely www.chuotaxi.co.jp which also provides airport shuttle service "door to door " to Shigakogen and Hakuba at a competitive price. I just wonder if this one is reliable. What is your comment. More importantly, I would prefer the one where we can communicate in English. Thanks.
Mochiski...thank you for your advice. I had finished my ski trip to Hachimantai, Appi, Getokogen, and Furano. Now I want to go to Shigakogen in late March, but snow shuttle bus from Narita Airport already fully booked. I may have to take Shinkansen to Nagano and take express bus to Shigakogen. What I worry is whether I can bring my ski bag (170cm long) to Shinkansen and the express bus to Shigakogen?
I could feel as if I were skiing ⛷. Thank you 😊
Arigato Gozaiamasu:)
I didn’t know about Madarao until now. I have skied Shiga Kogan which was fun. Thanks for your video.
Thank you for watching!
Madarao is also popular ski resort in Japan.
But Shigakogen is more popular.
I’m planning skiing at Shigakogen this winter ⛷
