- 1976 Ford F100 Custom 4x4 for sale in our Tampa Showroom. We are proud to offer this beautiful and tough looking truck for sale. Nothing says mean like a V8 engine and 38x15.50 mud tires! This F100 has just been stripped down and painted PPG Jet Black with matte black accents to really set it off. Starting at the front of the truck, the grill surround and front bumper have been covered in spray on bedliner which gives a great look and holds up well. The grill inserts are brand new along with the headlights and P.I.A.A. auxillary lights have been added for foggy mornings or offroad use. The inside of the bed also just received spray in bedliner along with the top of the bedrails for added protection. The rear bumper was custom fabricated by the builder and he incorporated a step to help reach into the bed with ease. Under the hood sits the numbers matching original 360 V8 engine with a mild build. Bolt on parts include Edelbrock aluminum intake, Quick Fuel double pumper 4 barrel carburetor, full length headers running to true dual exhaust with glass pack muffler and big chrome exhaust tips that exit in front of the rear tires. This truck sounds amazing! The Optima red top battery and Accel coil go along with new parts including the starter, starter relay, alternator, voltage regulator, battery cables, water pump, radiator hoses, belt, tires, headlights, tires and wheels. Inside the cab you grab hold of the shifter on the original 4 speed manual transmission which sits beside the manual transfer case lever. A brand new stereo puts your favorite tunes out through new Sony 6x9 speakers that produce 800 watt max. A chrome Grant steering wheel keeps you in control and SunPro gauges with a VDO tach let you keep an eye on the engine. The Midland CB radio is a throwback that is functional once you ad an antenna. Options include AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels and a numbers matching drivetrain. Beautiful truck, a long time ago I had a 74 F-100 with a 360 that built from the frame up. I replaced all the body parts accept the hood! I miss the old 4-speed. Those were real trucks! I love my Cummins powered Dodge though. But an old Ford or any of the old trucks will get my attention every time!

My uncle had the 360 in his 75 Ford, my grandfather the 390 in his 73 Ford, and from what I've been told, that 360 ran circles around the 390...apparently the 360 Ford is a helluva motor....
Branon Fontaine they are basically the same. Only difference is stroke. 360 are torque 390 make the horsepower. You'd want the torque in a truck. However you put some good headers and a decent cam in a 390 and it's no contest. I'll take a 428 over them all lol
The 360, 390, 410, 427, 428 are all in the FE family. The difference is the bore and stroke. There is no way a 360 out runs a 390, what you are comparing is things like gears, weight, etc... The 390 is MUCH better than the 360 because it's longer stroke and goes all the way up to the top of the block. I have a 428 in mine and it makes TONS of torque, it used to have a 360, they do tend to rev quicker, but the torque gain is unreal.

So if I understood it correctly the 73 - 79 F-Series long bed are longer only in between the wheel base ? Since the 67-72 are longer in between wheel base and also the rear quarter panels are also longer !

Are there parts available to build those in a manufacturing format? I think it would be difficult to turn them out fast enough! Was it you guys that did the donuts in the lot there? I only get to do that for a few minutes a year.

Matt Robertson I know the c6 auto came with np. I got a 390 with a np 435 but I got a Dana 21. Single speed 1:1 ratio 2wd or 4wd. If I switch to a c6 I gotta find a 205 to mate to it. Nothing in mine is original though. That's why im wondering what's in this truck
