I agree with you, Devon have always been true and telling Jeff Hardy what he needed to hear, made me feel inspired, and Devon can inspire people to make their life better.
Respect to Impact for actually turning a clusterfuck of events lead into a series of lessons about redemption and support systems for drug abusers and alcoholics. It's a bit bothering to use an actual self-admitted drug abuser to drive the scenes, but he gave his consent and really did turn out better in the end, so kudos to that, too, I guess
i really want a friend like Devon, and when jeff was about to cry, it shows that he either HATES being criticized or he really appreciates Devon's honesty
Devon is that friend everyone wants to have and needs to have. I think it got to Jeff. It looked like he was about to bust out crying. That's how you can tell that was some great advice. Love Devon. 🖤
D-Von, in my opinion, is extremely underrated. I mean, there's no doubt in my mind that Team 3D is perhaps the most dominant tag team in the history of pro wrestling, but D-Von by himself is horribly underrated. I love Bubba Ray and D-Von equally, but the demand for Bubba Ray seems higher.
Afro'd Avenger Music Reviews I know what you mean. When Team 3D split up and Brother Ray transformed in to Bully Ray he had one of the best heel runs in the current TNA. He became TNA World Champ and became one of the most hated guys in TNA. D-Von on the other hand was not quite successful on his own, intact after his run as TNA Television Champion he faded in to the background. As a team they are the best in the world but as singles competitors, what Bully Ray said was right. Bully went on to achieve great success as a singles wrestler, whereas D-Von has minimal susses. Bully was deffo the HBK of the team and D-Von the Marty Jannety
Whoa, Devon was straight up hard on Jeff. But he's right, after everything that they did and been through Jeff can't let that be for nothing. Even when he's in the dark and fighting off his demons, a true friend will be a light and set you straight.
@@doomslayer169 Sorry what I meant was that Spike was always off on drugs and alcohol and Bubba was probs a heavy drinker as well and Jeff had his issues with somas around this time so it's hard to see him try set Jeff straight when he was riding with guys who got carried away also
Devon: "I'm not gonna turn my back on you Jeff, I'm gonna grab you by your neck, and put you threw that frickin' wall." *Farooq enters and stares at Devon* Farooq: "DAMN!"
They had some AMAZING matches together Hardy and Dudleys... Hardy said in an interview that he was holding back tears in this segment... And as a man who had to face his own demons (even though people I know this is scripted) you need to hear from someone you have known for a long time that they are gunna give you an ass whoopin if you f*** up again... Probably one of my favorite segments ever!

@@AhmedMahmoud-sq7xg It seems to me that his body is so fucked up from all that high flying that off camera he takes painkillers and alcohol to kill the pain but remains sober during matches/during his WWE runs, cause he has to.. When I saw him doing swan dives he would be holding his low back after cause his back when hurting like hell..While doing the Twist of Fate he was landing on his ass instead of his back, cause that's how bad his back is.. He's drank so much alcohol that he's become an alcoholic but it is something he obviously does to ignore the pain in his fucked up body.. A fully healed Jeff Hardy inside the ring is able to keep him away from the booze and drugs.. It's a damn shame and I hope he gets the help he needs.. Jeff is a very talented man and he is musically talented and like Chris Jericho I think he could focus on a music career and turn to DDP Yoga to help him physically as it has with others..
He's talking about their days in WWE in the early 2000's when The Hardyz, The Dudley's, and Edge and Christian feuded over the Tag Team Championship for many years. They had very few normal matches, about 95% of all of their matches were TLC's.
This hurts even more since Jeff's recent arrest (in June 2022).... dude was on the right path, looked a bit out of it, then he gets arrested for DUI yet again. I'm disappointed, and I know addiction and alcoholism are tough demons to overcome but it genuinely looked like he did for a few years and now this happens. I really, really hope Jeff gets some help, no matter how badly he refuses it.
It's become a part of him. There's no one that hates Jeff Hardy's addictions more than Jeff Hardy, but he simply can't stop himself when his buffer (wrestling, motocross, singing, whatever) isn't available in a bad night.
There are a lot of things TNA are doing wrong, but these realistic segments are absolutely brilliant. I actually felt something from this and the AJ one and it came across as genuine and believable, and not an insult to my intelligence like most wrestling promos. Definitely a step in the right direction and I hope to see more of this.
I hate tna but damn, this was so fucken amazing on Devons part, I'm sure he brought Jeff Hardy to his senses reminding him of all their wwf matches together, these two will always be the part of the greatest tag teams known to wrestling

Man, I miss these camera angles that make you feel as if you’re sneaking backstage when you’re not supposed to, and seeing wrestlers either speak or shout with a lot of passion. This is so much better than the current over produced promos like the porn star type of acting 🙄
These guys were huge parts of puting on such awsome matches in the past. Stole ppv after ppv after ppv. So I can feel Devon's emotions. He is a great guy and from what I hear a very great influence in the back. If I was TNA after he retires from the ring he should have a huge part in the back. I would do that now a great moral leader he can be.
God what a promo and a talking that Jeff needed and it came from Devon of all people. Few could have said it the same to Jeff. Much respect to Devon for standing up in Jeff's face like a man and telling him what he needed to hear. Scripted or not. Jeff probably had quite a few wake up calls at that time (< keywords cuz I know he had a few downs after this) but to have someone you had history saying what Devon said with was probably def. a wake up call for him I don't know why but this promo reminds me of the Eddie Guerrero/Brock Lesnar promo.
