I came to your channel for comfort, and as usual, I certainly got it! I lost my Mom yesterday, she died peacefully with me holding her hand until her very last heartbeat. I know you are a God-fearing couple and if you feel it in your heart, could you please say a prayer for me and my family? I absolutely love you and Paul. God bless!

A couple years ago I was at H&R Block to get my tax refund. The lady handed it to me she said $200 and the guy in chair next to me laughed. Then she handed his check to him she said $2000 his girl friend said "let's go out and spend it". Later bout 5 pm I was at Dennys n saw them. He asked me if I had anything left. I said after I pay my bill $190 I said how bout u. He said hes broke that she spent it all on her friends...mostly plastic junk. Sad

Our canned tomatoes for the 15-16 oz ones are around $1 a can. .What great deals on the grocery haul. I’ve been using any extra monies for either my emergency fund or paying extra on my credit card. Since the interest on the credit cards is so high I lean more towards the credit cards.Lord willing I will be recovering from my second breast cancer surgery on Easter, so not sure what our menu will be, but the food is not the important part, so whatever we have will be just fine.

We have a full week of celebrating Christ's death, burial and resurrection. It startt tonight. Our church does a guided walk through of 10scenes depicting Christ's ladt week on earth. It's called Easter Alive. On Thursday our 6 grandkids come for a sleepover. Good Friday we tell the Easter story to them using resurrection eggs, color eggs and make bunny biscuits for brunch. Easter Sunday starts with a sunrise service at church, breakfast, regular services in the y snd an Easter cantata with choir and orchestra at night. It's a busy but wonderful week

Hi from Kansas City. Easter will be quiet at our house as both sons live 1200 miles away. I will be singing with the church choir on Friday evening and Sunday morning. We are having ham, cheesey potatoes, green been casserole, deviled eggs and cream puffs for Easter dinner. There will be leftovers so plan to make ham salad, have ham chef salads, ham and beans, you get the picture!😂 I will freeze some cooked ham if we get tired of eating it. Hope you have a blessed Holy Week.

I just hang them in the tub to drip dry on a rack, or just put a broom from the shower curtain to the back then hang on that. When they are done dripping you can hang them on your doorways. You can leave the windows open for an almost fresh smell, or try the porch if you have one. Done this at many rentals. Not going to pay for washer, and why pay for drying when God gives it to us for free??

Here in the UK, it is traditional to have roast leg of lamb as a roast dinner and that is what we will be having on Easter Sunday at our Son's. It is always on special at the supermarkets over the Easter period so it is very popular as it is a very expensive meat normally. Have a wonderful Easter one and all from a sunny, but chilly England 🙂

Blessings to you and Paul as we enter Holy Week. This video made me so hungry watching you make those yummy chicken wings! Easter was always hosted at our house. We always had a house full of family, food, laughter and love. I love to decorate and we always hosted a big egg hunt for the kids. Our two “boys” are married so we now head to our oldest son Brian’s house and our
youngest son Dan and family also usually join us. We have 5 young grandchildren so we are so blessed to see the traditions passed down. We have four young granddaughters and a 3 year old grandson Tucker. My daughter in law does a marvelous job and her folks live close by. We all contribute. She will do a cheese and vegetable tray and we may have some shrimp cocktail to start. She will make a delicious ham and I will bring a side. This year I think I will bring the copy cat Boston Market Yellow squash casserole. It is made with boxed cornbread and cheese and so good with ham.
Last year for dessert I brought a moist blueberry Bundt cake with a cream cheese frosting. This year I may make my cut out Bunny Cake. So easy and fun to decorate. Such a hit with the kids. I have a coconut Dolly Parton cake mix I can use.
Happy Easter to you and your family. Thank you for all the hard work you and Paul do creating your useful, thoughtful videos.
Hope you didn’t get any snow today during this storm. Rain here in RI.

I have been using the Pepprig sponges from Ikea for years. They only cost 99 cents for 3 and they can be washed in the dishwasher or washing machine. Use it for the entire kitchen and also use it for hand washing. The sponge has a fabric cover and you can throw it in the washing machine right after use. I really love it. The fabric is rough and can therefore also be used as a scouring pad, the wetter the softer, the drier the rougher.

Loving the gardening tips! This is the first time I've been really faithful about trying to grow some things from seed. So far I've planted sunflowers, zinnias, purple onions and peppermint. Hoping for the best ! I will try going to the bakery to see if I can get some of those food safe containers! I imagine your Nona would be pretty flattered if she knew how many people are potentially making spaghetti sauce from her recipe. I'm late to the video but you asked what we did during the holidays ... my son had to work, so my sister came over for Easter. We decided to go to the park and take a nice walk, then hang out and chat. We then came back and hung out in my backyard, had a glass of wine, chatted some more, watched the sunset and took a walk. We didn't do much, but it was SUCH a nice day!

To utilize your buttermilk for later use, pour into either ice cube trays or silicone cupcake pans. After it is frozen, pop the blocks out and store in a freezer safe container or ziplock (labeled of course). Pull out what you need and let it thaw to use. (I always measure how much the ice cube or cupcake spot will hold before freezing, I write it on a note on my fridge).

Im absolutely loving your channel. This Easter will be our first without Mum and Dad, so we are trying to make new traditions while keeping some old. I'm cooking the traditional lamb roast and hosting my brother, aunty, cousin and son. Cooking isn't really a favorite thing, but I'm getting there ( much rather craft...no washing up!). Mum, Dad and husband all gone....so recreating " new " family. Mass on Friday and Sunday and Easter Market Saturday morning, so cooking dynamics crucial to getting it all ready ( how did Mum and Nan make it look effortless 😂) Definitely trying your chicken recipe. Hope you both have a lovely Easter and spring (we're heading into Autumn and winter🌬) much love to all on your channel 🇦🇺💗🐣

You lucked out with the Contadina, my Shoprite doesn't have that sale, unfortunately. We're going to my in-laws for Easter. She's making pasta, lemon chicken, broccoli with breadcrumbs, stuffed mushroom, and sweet potatoes. I'm making Easter cupcakes to bring. Everyone loves my cupcakes so I'm the cup cake person, lol. I love it because I always do different things. I'm making chocolate cupcakes with different Easter color icings and bunny candies on top. We're going to use our tax refund to do some minor repairs around the house because my husband will be retiring soon and we want to move.

Just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed this video Emmy & Paul. That chicken you made really looked so scrumptious and I had to laugh at dear little Dixie. She's just so cute.
You're very wise to go down to one video per week while life is very busy for you.
Thank you for all your videos. I do wish you both a very peaceful and blessed Easter.

Thanks for the Galbani tip, just printed 2 coupons each, for my husband and I to grocery shop tomorrow! Just a tip of my own for you: make your own buttermilk! It’s just curdled milk, so add 1 Tbsp vinegar to 1 cup of milk and let sit for ten minutes - frugal!

I was happy to see you encouraging container gardening. It is a perfect way for those that only have a balcony or tiny yard to garden to grow fresh produce. I have been planning brunch for Easter dinner. This year, I am making breakfast pizza, ham, and my homemade cinnamon rolls. My adult children are bringing the rest.

    Hi Emmy & Paul!
That chicken recipe looks delicious! I love wings! I’ll have to try it! I like the Brillo sponges. It does hold in moisture so it’s not breeding bacteria like regular sponges.
Spring is a wonderful season to be in nature, so totally understand needing to cut back. Thanks for sharing like a sister with us.💗

My boss has a wonderful farm in southwest South Carolina - not far from Andrew’s, SC.(about an hour from Surfside beach where our medical practice is). I’ve organized an Easter Saturday pot luck for our medical staff and their families to come to the farm for a fun day! We always have wonderful food and fun! I’m taking my corn hole game for some outdoor game time and we will enjoy the golf cart and 4X4 to investigate the 110 acre property. I bought a ham on sale after Christmas and will take that out of the freezer to glaze and bake. We are all looking so forward to this down time together,

Ahh, buttermilk. I am never with out it. It keeps a long time in the fridge. But I freeze it. In muffin tins 1/4 cup portions or in 1/2 to 1 cup portions. Any wild game is good marinated in buttermilk. In a pinch subs we'll for sourcream, makes any baked goods tender and scrumptious. Great in mashed potatoes. And its great to add into meatloaf in stead of milk.

Sometimes if i see a sale on meat i will ask the butcher(if i see something similar )i ask him to repackage it with the sale price on it with a shop rite sticker😁 You did great on the San Marzano sauce. I just planted twelve San Marzano tomatoes with other tomatoes and vegetables too here in Jersey. The stems are about two inches tall now. Waiting for the warmer weather. I use to live on SI, NY 20 years ago but my frugal butt said ....No more bridge tolls for me 🤑 Now i have more back yard space for more planting barbecues and family
