I like it. Knigt is not really an "active killer" like Frank, and Steven has gone through things equivalent to or more than Frank and has improved in his Mr. Knight and Steven life. It makes sense he would understand and seek redemption in Franks life

I never really understood why writers have Wolverine and Punisher have any beef with one another. At most, Logan might tell him to at least try not to kill any of the younger crooks, since Logan has been a teacher for years by this point. Maybe have a gruffly maudlin chat in a bar where they debate about what point a person's potential to redeem themselves is less important than making sure that they stop harming innocent people as soon as possible over some beer and a hockey game.
Garth Ennis, Frank Tieri and Jason Aaron are some of the only ones writers who write Frank and Logan as adversarial. Most other times they've encountered one another it's been more of a working relationship. Greg Rucka had Wolverine betray The Avengers and lie directly to Cap's face to help Punisher.
It's honestly about time someone else calls out Logan for being a hypocrite, especially with how he's grilled the Professor and Scott on it over the years.

The thing is this kind of goes against how wolverine and punisher usually are. I think it was Punisher warzone where the avengers were chasing down Punisher and wolverine was actually against it and ended up going to his place to warn him. Wolverine then purposefully triggered an explosive to make it look like punisher had tricked him and escaped.

Wolverine has a body count at least 4 times higher than the Punisher considering just how old Logan is, but at the same time, he at least has had to deal with significantly more trauma than the Punisher. There was an older comic where Thor basically called him out for looking for an excuse to keep killing after he avenged his family

Yea. TMNT started as a parody of grim dark comics at the time specifically Daredevil. Even made a tongue in cheek reference that the TCRI truck that mutated the turtles caused the same damage to Matt Murdock's eyes that made him Daredevil. That the kid carrying the turtle bowl was Matt.
wolverine and punisher do it for different reasons. Frank does it as repentance and vengeance, whilst logan does it to either protect himself or other from immediate danger (Not counting all the times but most of the times)
The best part of Frank telling Logan to "do yourself after you kill me" in relation to Frank's psyche is the time(s) he's been asked "so if you did manage to kill every criminal, would you take yourself out too?" To which his completely honest response is "yes." Frank's version of the world he wants to make can never be by the simple mathematical realities of there always being more criminals, but he does actively view himself as guilty as well by his own metric. There's just too much work to be done that only he's going around doing to be bothered with the back-end, nicety morality of "is this right/am I evil?" or whatever unhelpful nonsense. Just the simple, front-end morality of "does this person have to die?". He believes in goodness and the importance of it, but thinking about it is not relevant to him or his crusade outside the people he's trying to save, actively or preemptively. He doesn't exclude himself, but his is a pragmatic mania, so as long as there's more who need to be punished and he's the only person willing and able to do what must be done, he'll keep breathing. But his perfect world is one where the man he's become does not deserve to exist, and he knows that, and continues on, not mulling on that stance. Because it'll never be, so someone still has to do the most they're able in the margins between we've got, and guess that's still me. And i have nothing else left, so unless that utopia happens then I'm never going to _stop._ I'm not advocating for any of this IRL, being a Punisher fan can come with possible implications i don't follow, but on the character level it's so engaging.

Frank Castle is that one character in the story that the writers just keep in their pockets in case they dont have a more interesting new character to reveal. “Who’s behind this mysterious new organization?” “Well, we could make it some fucking wizard, but Frank’s got a few days off, he could probably fit.”
There is a big difference between Frank Castle and Wolverine. Frank doesn't care if the criminal deserves death or not. He kills with no remorse. Wolverine might have killed not as much, probably even more people. But 1- He's been alive for more then 1 century and just for that his body count may be higher but 2- He only kills if he feels it necessary. Logan has avoids more unneeded deaths in a day than Punisher in his whole life.

Wolverine is an assassin. He doesn't have any room to talk s*** about anyone granted. He's a good guy, more like an anti-hero but still. They both pretty well do the same thing.
Punisher hasn't done anything that he needs to redeem himself for.
Wolverine has a body count at least 4 times higher than the Punisher considering just how old Logan is, but at the same time, he at least has had to deal with significantly more trauma than the Punisher.
There was an older comic where Thor basically called him out for looking for an excuse to keep killing after he avenged his family
That was Greg Rucka's War Zone and it's an infinitely better comic than this one.
What’s the Wolverine knew when not to kill. Frank Castle just killed anyone that was in his way that the hand told him was evil. Without a second thought he killed those people. In the hopes of getting his wife back which didn’t happen.

Yea. TMNT started as a parody of grim dark comics at the time specifically Daredevil. Even made a tongue in cheek reference that the TCRI truck that mutated the turtles caused the same damage to Matt Murdock's eyes that made him Daredevil. That the kid carrying the turtle bowl was Matt.

wolverine and punisher do it for different reasons. Frank does it as repentance and vengeance, whilst logan does it to either protect himself or other from immediate danger (Not counting all the times but most of the times)

The best part of Frank telling Logan to "do yourself after you kill me" in relation to Frank's psyche is the time(s) he's been asked "so if you did manage to kill every criminal, would you take yourself out too?" To which his completely honest response is "yes."
Frank's version of the world he wants to make can never be by the simple mathematical realities of there always being more criminals, but he does actively view himself as guilty as well by his own metric. There's just too much work to be done that only he's going around doing to be bothered with the back-end, nicety morality of "is this right/am I evil?" or whatever unhelpful nonsense. Just the simple, front-end morality of "does this person have to die?". He believes in goodness and the importance of it, but thinking about it is not relevant to him or his crusade outside the people he's trying to save, actively or preemptively.
He doesn't exclude himself, but his is a pragmatic mania, so as long as there's more who need to be punished and he's the only person willing and able to do what must be done, he'll keep breathing. But his perfect world is one where the man he's become does not deserve to exist, and he knows that, and continues on, not mulling on that stance. Because it'll never be, so someone still has to do the most they're able in the margins between we've got, and guess that's still me. And i have nothing else left, so unless that utopia happens then I'm never going to _stop._
I'm not advocating for any of this IRL, being a Punisher fan can come with possible implications i don't follow, but on the character level it's so engaging.

There is a big difference between Frank Castle and Wolverine. Frank doesn't care if the criminal deserves death or not. He kills with no remorse. Wolverine might have killed not as much, probably even more people. But 1- He's been alive for more then 1 century and just for that his body count may be higher but 2- He only kills if he feels it necessary. Logan has avoids more unneeded deaths in a day than Punisher in his whole life.
