BONUS: We're comparing this new purchase to the $200 Petsafe ScoopFree Ultra Self-Cleaning Litter Box that we already had. Come along!
I used to have a petsafe, my first model lasted me about 10 years and was a great addition to the house for both me and my cats. The old guy, with its little motor, finally gave out on me, oh well, money well spent. I go on the internet to find out there is a whole bunch of competitors with new models all over the market. I didn't think I would have to put so much effort into a toilet for my cat. I mean really? I can only attest to the quality of the petsafe, but the ChillX has certainly gained my interest over any other products, I'll have to update soon on my purchase. Does anyone else have a personal experience with the Litter robot?

the liter robot is the worst litter box on the market. I have this product and I will buy another auto egg one day.
I’m a senior and my son just got me the Auto Egg for Christmas. I always strain my back and knees when I kneel down to clean my cats litter and I am much happier now that my litter box can clean itself! The self cleaner does a better job than I ever did and the smell of litter is long gone from my house! I'm thinking of buying a second one now.

I had to watch this review twice Being Barton. So well done! I personally love the AutoEgg so much. Me and my cats adore it. I'm a cat lady with lots of cats lol.

Yes it was entertaining. I'm on the fence on buying an Autoegg cuz of the price but I think I'm going to do it.

Thank you for showing what a HOT MESS the Chillx is. It's a rip off and clear money grab. I had all the same issues, wrote to customer service several times and had to pay $60 to return it. Which is the lowest amount you pay assuming you deep clean it and have all the original boxes and packaging. I wrote an honest and diplomatic review and submitted it to their website as a verified buyer and they have never posted it.

It's not a hot mess, come on now. The Auto Egg works well if you use it correctly.

@Matt Terriah Yes, other RUclipsrs have commented that 'bots' seem to be spamming videos showing the negative aspects of the Chill X litter box. It's bizarre!

Buy an Autoegg. The Autoegg is so beautiful in the back of my house. It fits right in.
I hope you made up you mind to buy it. The Auto Egg works great. Do not buy a Litter Robot, trust me!!!!!!!!!

Your review was the best one I've seen for any self cleaning litter box! ScoopFree needs to give you free litter for life or something! Before I watched your video I was trying to decided if I was going to buy the Litter Robot 3 or this new Chillx egg, but you sold me on the ScoopFree and I had ruled them out as a contender about a month ago!

It's kind of embarrassing to spend hundreds of dollars on a litter box...but I feel like there is a huge return if we can give good advice to other people who are trying to be specific with high dollar purchases. This channel is just a hobby. I enjoy sharing about family life from a down-to-earth perspective. :)
The Robot 3 does look really cool, doesn't it? I can't speak to the effectiveness of that model, but it will be hard for another company to compete with the durability/reliability of the ScoopFree, I think. I hope you find that it's a winner for you, too.🏆
AutoEgg is better. Me and my kids Michael, Alex, Stephanie bought and Autoegg for our cat and they are so happy that it auto cleans itself

@@BeingBarton Yes I did have a Petsafe before I bought an autoegg. If you use the autoegg as instructed you'll find it impressive surely. I had mine for 5 months now and love it.
Barton, i made a review about this litterbox a few months ago, and my video has been overrun in the last few days with really weird comments...wondering if you're noticing something similar.
@Qcknd Two! Yes, we have had a handful of comments pop up that are a-typical. My hubby thinks that it's a type of spam. It's not usual for a video to receive multiple comments in a short span that are similar. In this case, folks claiming to love this product. 🤷♀️
@@BeingBarton yes....I have the same sort of comments on my channel video as well. Some even edited in the last few days. I'm glad to see i'm not the only one who thought it was a little unusual 😅

@Catherine Wilcox Yes! We finally broke down and purchased a litter robot about a month ago. It is AMAZING! After throwing away $500 on the terrible auto egg, I was hesitant to invest in another $500 litter box. But the litter robot is worth every penny (so far). 😀

Thank you so much for the comparison. I was debating on spending more for the ChillX over the Petsafe Ultra, but this helped me finally determine the more expensive equipment isn't always better. I have just placed an order for my Petsafe Ultra.
On a side note, I have heard that the Arm & Hammer Slide Litter is suppose to work well with the Petsafe. Have you tried this? Thank you.

I just looked up the Arm & Hammer Slide Litter...it didn't sound familiar, and I can confirm that we've never tried it. If you decide to use it, would you mind commenting about your thoughts? I'm interested, and I would guess others would be as well.

The Autoegg is leaps and bounds better than those others you will get online, my cat agrees.

@@BeingBarton I currently have a kitten right now and it detects her pretty well. I think they really tiny ones it won’t detect them but we haven’t had any issues at all. We used the litter maid before the robot and I honestly won’t go back lol. They are definitely expensive but since the cats started using it we haven’t had to do anything with scooping or even touching nasties.
@@BeingBarton it’s also from what I’ve experienced using other automatic boxes the most consistent in cleaning up messes and it doesn’t malfunction as much.
@Emily Elizabeth Nice! I haven't heard of the litter maid...but the litter robot was a strong contender before we decided on the ill-fated autoegg. And hearing your positive feedback makes me want to look at the litter robot again. The price is high, but I expect to get many years of use out of the investment. 💰😅
@@BeingBarton I’ve heard of people using their for years! We just got it so I can’t say how long ours will work for yet but definitely don’t get the litter maid. It’s only like 75 bucks but you get what you pay for I guess lol.
