Mine will not let me adjust widgets no matter what i do?? Any ideas. Do i need to connect handbrake wire so it thinks im not driving so it then lets me adjust?
I own a 5350 model just like this and The operating system doesn’t seem to look quite the same or have all the same customise features available as this one, is there a firmware update I’m perhaps unable to find? Or have I just purchase older stock of the unit maybe?
Hi Samuel, Not too sure about this one as we only received this model, double check your firmware to make sure its the latest from the Pioneer website, it might also be best to ask the store you purchased this from.
Did you end up getting this unit? I recently purchased it for the same model of car as yours and it's significantly quieter than stock. Not sure if it's faulty or just less powerful and needs an amp.
It took me 4 months to find this: if your steering wheel controls settings are not being remembered on every start up you need to restore your factory settings. If you do a "Reset to factory settings" and then immediately set up the steering wheel controls (you already have the Source set to OFF) it will remember it when you turn off the vehicle. Beyond that issue this unit is not bad, but the interface is pretty ugly and confusing, even if it's customizable, I almost exclusively use it with Apple Car Play because of this. Camera is fast to boot but sometimes doesn't come up at all, really random. I don't know if it has a sensor on the front face or uses one in the car but I was never able to configure the Dimmer settings in Auto mode, it defaults to full brightness even when it's totally dark.
