I can't fucking take it. I see an image of a random score posted and then I see it, I fucking see it. "Oh that looks kinda like the cloutiful 63 situation" it started as. That's funny, that's a cool reference. But I kept going, I'd see a game with ping that showed 63ms, I'd see that I'm on the 6/3 page on my school homework, my last notice to pay my electricity bill is 630.00$ , I'd notice that it's been 63 days since the last time I touched a woman. And every time I'd burst into an insane, breath deprived laugh staring at the image as the number 63 ran through my head. I'm scared to look at the time when someone asks me what time is it. It's torment, psychological torture, I am being conditioned to laugh maniacally any time I see an 2-digit number which is anywhere close to 63. I can't fucking live like this... I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't! And don't get me fucking started on the words! I'll never hear the phrase "when you see it" again without thinking of 63. Someone does pretty cool and respectable score and I can't say anything other than "WYSI." I could watch a man Fc hard underweighted map I love and all I would be able to say is "WYSI" and laugh like a fucking insane person. And the phrase "when you see it" is ruined. I can't live anymore. 63 has destroyed my fucking life. I want to eject myself from this plane of existence
to give context as to why the DKS isnt allowed when used this way. osu has a one movement one inout rule, you cannot have multiple inputs trigger with only one movement. The *deactivation* of a key is considered an input, so when you tap a key, you have two movements: down, and then up, that match two inputs: activating, and deactivating. in this case, cloutiful's upstroke is Triggering the activation of the key, *but* through DKS, it's also deactivating the key through essentially a macro, which is why its not allowed.
ok i get that but like you can get (almost) the same result by just having a key invert states (with the only difference that it will hold for as long you dont tap but like that changes nothing). if you only invert the state of your key, it's one movement (down stroke) to one input (deactivation). am i dumb?
@@akasakasvault7597 yes, I had the same thought! and I believe thats technically allowed under osu's rules. It's significantly worse though and I feel would be more like a gimmick. it would makes any sliders practically unplayable and overall itd be much harder than this
by that logic, double tapping would also be against the rules - it's one movement providing two inputs, the only difference is that it's one activation and one deactivation instead of two activations
@@mystith incorrect. with double tapping, you have two fingers each doing two movements, both going down to activate the key, and then both going up to release the key. with this method, you still have the same movement and same amount of inputs, but cloutiful has essentially "unbided" his downstroke, so it does nothing and cannot be counted as one of the movements. that's the difference, because now the activation and deactivation are happening with the same upwards movement, which fundementally breaks the one movement one input rule.
so it's bannable because the rule is "one press = one click" while wooting's macro allows for "one press = two clicks" ? I mean that sounds kinda dumb but I get it. You can effectively double your streams without extra effort, if the baseline is 222bpm, that means you can get up to 444bpm. Unrelated note, but is extra keybind also illegal? like what if you change other keys to z and x for more buttons? hell, what if you go full ADOFAI?
And then mrekk comes to fool around and starts setting some stupid speed scores with the DKS offline bro, thats how easy it was to get cheated plays with just a single keyboard like you don't even need a cheating software anymore. Rapid trigger can't be considered a macro bc rapid trigger gives inputs based on the movements your finger is actually doing on the switch, whereas DKS provides a robotic alternation from pressing two keys at once that your fingers aren't actually doing
bro this is the funniest video I've ever seen I can't even remember the last time I watched a youtube video longer than 3 minutes but I sat here for 50mins on the edge of my seat, actual emotional roller coaster
no idea wtf osu is, but this was a good video, very entertaining to see how people go about sussin out those who could be screwin their game and its community over.
Not through the video yet (about 20 mins in), but this reminds me of a geometry dash controversy where under very specific circumstances some players, seemingly randomly, would specifically have robot like same time reflexes/clicks. As far as I know the true reason behind this is known not. Edit: To put this in more context, the main phenomenon of the player who originally started the controversy and is clearly the ‘best’ at utilizing this exploit ( I want to point out that he deeply seems very cooperative and someone who has no idea why this is happening to him) seems to have the problem at all times during all things/programs. The other phenomenons of this issue (very rare) all have separate problems on why it is happening. Using OBS, having a different version of a mod, keyboard settings (that’s all as far as I can remember). I want to make it very clear that I am not part of the geometry dash community and am recollecting all of my story from a RUclips video that might be outdated. Edit 2: Just finished the video, and I can safely (somewhat) say that this situation is different than the skoe99 situation (thanks to ItsCakes7 for reminding me), but I still think this is a cool and similar story to share and it could be related to the geometry dash story in a way because I am now remembering that one player only got the issue when using mouse instead of keyboard (OR VICE VERSA I CAN NOT REMEMBER FOR THE LIFE OF ME)
And also I don't think these 2 situations are very alike because for Skoe's case he didnt know he was cheating but for Cloutiful's he was aware of what he was doing and he abused the exploit
Absolute Cinema, I don't play osu nor do i have any interest but this video appeared my recommendations and holy fuck the emotions going on, multiple things happening at time. crazy to watch this.
Not a big osu! player but I think the problem with the up-stroke is that you are, in the end, working with "1 finger". When you are double tapping your basically doing the work of 1 finger press, and the same for lifting. *For me,* this feels like a problem when you actually think that for each finger you actually need to do 2 motions for a key press: 1 - pressing, 2 - lifting. With this options you are basically playing with 1 finger in the sense that each key stroke is 1 motion, not 2: 1 - pressing (down) 2 - "pressing" (up). Again, *FOR ME,* this is kinda problematic, if this is ok, personally I would say playing with only 1 finger and doing down-stroke and up-stroke on the same key is ok. (You could double the presses to 4 by using 2 fingers with this "method")
48:22 Its clear to me. "Macro-enabled full-combo sequences". The way its written it means only macros that do full-combo sequences. In simple terns a replay macro. So a macro that only modifies the behavior of key is not supposed to be considered cheating. 50:23 Totally different from what he was doing. He is using a config/macro that only modifies the behavior of the key being pressed, not another. 51:00 They are totally right and are doing the right thing by getting involved. This behavior could easily be replicated on a hardware level with a few transistors.
Very very well put together video, and well done on getting it out so fast. Couple things to say / correct about my video (18:49) Essentially I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt; BUT, well long story short we were on a call for about 25 minutes and he was unable to follow my instructions, that would have taken 30 seconds to run. It was my first time sort of speaking to someone in person / voice while they were being accused of cheating so I really didn’t want to be rude to them, especially since we didn’t know at the time he wasn’t legit. *In hindsight I should have pushed him MUCH harder and told him to his face how suspicious it looked being that incapable of listening* (And I know VS code isn’t the proper way to get someone to run your code, but I wanted to keep him for as short time as possible and that is the least confusing / fastest way I know.) Extra: Specifically what I wanted to test was him streaming with 2 pairs of inputs, in the same 3 keys, for example AB, then BC, getting him to do that was like extracting water from a stone, and I was not able to get that data, even though it would have taken 20 seconds and we were on a call almost half an hour. Essentially the output of this would have been VERY useful to see if it was his finger technique causing the strange hold times, since at the time there was great confusion at the time regarding what was causing it (keybind, macro, hardware issue? we didn’t know) Thanks for reading, thanks for having me in the video, and well done again.
I don't think you handled it wrong at all. It's easy to think that in hindsight, but at the time, "innocent until proven guilty" is a good rule of thumb. Pushing more aggressively could have had opposite results and he did show his hand in a sense by "not listening".
This video is 3 months old at the time it is recommended to me by YT. I don’t know who these people are. I don’t know what game they play. But the data is absolutely fascinating to me.
I dont play the game but going by the simple rule of no manipulating the game that is a rule that covers all that stuff. Ur changing the way its meant to be played period
The ending is unplayable with his "technique" I think, the maps need to be a certain way, basically normal stream maps. The ending I think even aetrna had a complete different technique from rest of the map based on what we saw from the hold time distribution.
Bro I know plasma irl bro was feeling it LOL he told me all about it and I was completely baffled as to the whole situation LMAO. Shits wild he just chatted to me about it and explained everything (ive played a little osu but nowhere near any good). was wild. nice vid :)
I watched all 53 minutes of this video because I was left dumbfounded and entertained at the same time. He tried so hard to disprove the cheating allegations, like bro actually put so much effort into disproving the allegations, to go out like this is such a fucking shame 😭 Every osu! player now has to start over from scratch without using competitive advantage
@@crumpledmint the guilt got to him, he's like 16 and he felt really guilty and came clean. this is pretty common i would say for someone his age would feel (including myself if i were in his shoes)
Poor Cloutiful. Even I as an irrelevant unknown content-creator am terrified about losing control over anything digital that I use. This crap can basically erase your existence, especially where I live, Western-Europe. Should my digital life be hijacked I can't even pay bills, access town-hall services, deal with my medical needs and even meaningfully communicate with the most basic of services. Update: Oh, he cheated and deleted everything he ever did. Okay. That kinda explains why the Gamo2 keyboard is seen as a bad keyboard in the Osu! world. There's no KB-SDK associated with it... (I love my Gamo2. Made me a better player.)
51:45 what they said is true though, if it should be allowed or not is another thing, I personally don't think such thing could be allowed, but by current rules, it's not cheating
By current rule it is cheating, peppy said dks is banable ages ago, plus it's effectively a macro on key up. Violating the one movement one action rule????
i was there when this was happening, what a fucking rollercoaster. heres an exact replica of my comment on cloutiful's liveplay when it was first uploaded: reaction for if he is legit: damn! always had faith reaction for if he is cheating: damn! unfortunate played for both teams so i always came out on top B)
17:54 - what if we just realized something scientifically cool? What he’s able to do with basically firing the fast twitch muscles to simulate vibrating that we’re seeing how fast our muscles can make us go. I’m sure if there was a “how many key presses per second” program was up, utilizing his fast twitch style, he’d probably be able to consistently get 1,000 taps a minute , which is 16 per second. 63ms I think = 15.87 taps per second

Rapid trigger can't be considered a macro bc rapid trigger gives inputs based on the movements your finger is actually doing on the switch, whereas DKS provides a robotic alternation from pressing two keys at once that your fingers aren't actually doing
bro this is the funniest video I've ever seen I can't even remember the last time I watched a youtube video longer than 3 minutes but I sat here for 50mins on the edge of my seat, actual emotional roller coaster
the way you said "wallah" lmaooooo 2:26 im dying
The guy really went from F to the guy behind him in the Qatar rankings.
cant believe this video wasnt uploaded 3 months after the drama
the foot petal thing caught me off guard cuz wtf
no idea wtf osu is, but this was a good video, very entertaining to see how people go about sussin out those who could be screwin their game and its community over.
Wooting just introduced the "Is this bannable" era of osu! 😂😂
SpaceUK of osu!
i get that reference
Nah he wasn't as dominant. SpaceUK of osu would be if mrekk was found to be cheating
Nope
@@troublemonkey1_626 spaceuk wasnt dominant, cus zoink just appeared and destroyed him
@@net_flexy same would happen to mrekk if rrtyui or rustbell came back
I hate watching people review news through RUclips, but god damn this was fire. I still have no idea wtf osu is
Not through the video yet (about 20 mins in), but this reminds me of a geometry dash controversy where under very specific circumstances some players, seemingly randomly, would specifically have robot like same time reflexes/clicks.
Edit 2: Just finished the video, and I can safely (somewhat) say that this situation is different than the skoe99 situation (thanks to ItsCakes7 for reminding me), but I still think this is a cool and similar story to share and it could be related to the geometry dash story in a way because I am now remembering that one player only got the issue when using mouse instead of keyboard (OR VICE VERSA I CAN NOT REMEMBER FOR THE LIFE OF ME)
You're talking about that one video about Skoe99 right ?
Yes I am!
@@ItsCakes7^
@@youknowthatguy123 Glad I could helped
I think if cloutiful had put a stopwatch on his phone leaning against the monitor he wouldn't have been caught.
FUcking peak cinema my ass after reacting to that message "everyone will see" 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Very very well put together video, and well done on getting it out so fast.
Couple things to say / correct about my video (18:49)
Essentially I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt; BUT, well long story short we were on a call for about 25 minutes and he was unable to follow my instructions, that would have taken 30 seconds to run.
It was my first time sort of speaking to someone in person / voice while they were being accused of cheating so I really didn’t want to be rude to them, especially since we didn’t know at the time he wasn’t legit. *In hindsight I should have pushed him MUCH harder and told him to his face how suspicious it looked being that incapable of listening*
(And I know VS code isn’t the proper way to get someone to run your code, but I wanted to keep him for as short time as possible and that is the least confusing / fastest way I know.)
Extra: Specifically what I wanted to test was him streaming with 2 pairs of inputs, in the same 3 keys, for example AB, then BC, getting him to do that was like extracting water from a stone, and I was not able to get that data, even though it would have taken 20 seconds and we were on a call almost half an hour.
Essentially the output of this would have been VERY useful to see if it was his finger technique causing the strange hold times, since at the time there was great confusion at the time regarding what was causing it (keybind, macro, hardware issue? we didn’t know)
Thanks for reading, thanks for having me in the video, and well done again.
Can't wait for the Karl Jobst video on this topic
Hello you absolute legend
actual MOVIE, 10/10 cinema
Mabey the hack was the friends we made along the way
i havent heard of, or played osu in years, but this was absolute cinema
32:16 whoever did that is amazing LMFAOOOOO
wasnt wooting also involved in a trackmania cheating scandle or was it just analogue keyboards in general that allow specific curve customisation
it’s 2 am why am i watching some guy talk about bell curves
at least he spotted the doubletapping
ABSOLUTE BTMCinema
"THE PLOT THICKENS" has me rolling
finally out for us to watch
I dont play the game but going by the simple rule of no manipulating the game that is a rule that covers all that stuff. Ur changing the way its meant to be played period
46:50 NO CAP THAT SHIZ FIRE ONGGGG
had to put it in 2x speed. It really saved me 🙏🙏
It’s insane that Cloutiful used macros and still got 4% worse acc than aetrna on ascension to heaven
The ending is unplayable with his "technique" I think, the maps need to be a certain way, basically normal stream maps. The ending I think even aetrna had a complete different technique from rest of the map based on what we saw from the hold time distribution.
Why is dorian camera blurred?
I was here POG
46:15 surely if someone designed the world biggest or heaviest keyboard, he can design this as well
ABSOLUTE CINEMA😭
Bro I know plasma irl bro was feeling it LOL he told me all about it and I was completely baffled as to the whole situation LMAO. Shits wild he just chatted to me about it and explained everything (ive played a little osu but nowhere near any good). was wild. nice vid :)
This is kinda like spaceUK exposing but in osu
I watched all 53 minutes of this video because I was left dumbfounded and entertained at the same time.
He tried so hard to disprove the cheating allegations, like bro actually put so much effort into disproving the allegations, to go out like this is such a fucking shame 😭
Every osu! player now has to start over from scratch without using competitive advantage
27:55 63 hearrate
im lowkey late but bro im flugging dead man the "7 digits in 2050" memes are coming to life LMFAO
spaceuk is sweating rn
seeing this video really makes me terrified of the internet and what people would do...
Cloutiful is actually a W for admitting it himself instead of denying.
He initially said that he doesn't use dks
He is a hero for admitting when it was undeniable after 2 days of denying it
@@crumpledmint the guilt got to him, he's like 16 and he felt really guilty and came clean. this is pretty common i would say for someone his age would feel (including myself if i were in his shoes)
i havent seen a btmc vid in a while, so is btmc making guac normal by now?
i got cooked
"trY it? I feel like I'm going to get bAnNed"
His voice crack makes it funnier 😂
gyze wake up btmc uploaded a new video
What skin was he using in the liveplay? I really want it lol 15:36
Now we can make fun of lifelines "top 3 player btw" clips again.😭💀
i literally left like 10 minute before the deletion of the replay video and stuff because i had to sleep man i really missed out i regret that now XD
@43:42 what keyboard is he using? Doesnt look like a Wooting 60
Also in Counterstrike the WOOTING drama goes on xD love it
i was there when this was happening, what a fucking rollercoaster. heres an exact replica of my comment on cloutiful's liveplay when it was first uploaded:
reaction for if he is legit: damn! always had faith
reaction for if he is cheating: damn! unfortunate
played for both teams so i always came out on top B)
17:54 - what if we just realized something scientifically cool? What he’s able to do with basically firing the fast twitch muscles to simulate vibrating that we’re seeing how fast our muscles can make us go.
I’m sure if there was a “how many key presses per second” program was up, utilizing his fast twitch style, he’d probably be able to consistently get 1,000 taps a minute , which is 16 per second. 63ms I think = 15.87 taps per second
I have a perfect argument...
It's "click the circles", not "release the circles"
I only play osu for fun (doing random anime songs and the max I can handle is 4 stars) and btmc is the only osu player I know that is big on youtube, but somehow this shit got me entertained from start to finish.
