Don't worry about it, it's just derankers with topplays full of 6.5-7.5* chokes that are worth like 200-250pp skewing the average.

By the way, one of the most ridiculous things I've seen recently was a 4 digit 1v1 tournament, but the 1st~3rd place were all 5 digits😂

The guy who set this up is kind of BS'ing ...
1) the range (of ranks) should be distributed equally - either linear or logarithmic;
e.g. [rank 4.5k] -> range [3k to 6k] and not [4k to 7k]
2) the replays should not be older than a few weeks;
e.g. that one 2yr old replay is misleading
3) the ranges are too narrow;
it's almost impossible to hit a guess like this ... and not fun ...
4) public leaderboards = external tools;
should not be allowed

bro sorry to tell you that but you're probably worse than your rank, a 400k should easly S 4 stars, clear 5 stars and try to clear some 6 stars. I think the lvl on osu just ranked up and 6 digits now are better than previous ones. Like when I see 300k people that can't even fc a 5 stars I feel like I should be higher rank...
