Misconceptions and preconceptions about bikers

- This video is about those pre formed misconceptions and preconceptions and little snobberies that some people (bikers and non bikers) have about different styles of bikers. I say that whatever we ride, we're all people that just like to get out on two wheels and enjoy that exhilarating freedom. Whatever we wear or whatever we ride, we're all still bikers.
My wife and I are bikers. Both big cruisers. Unfortunately she is definitely looked down upon when we go to any cafes however when we go out on a group ride they change there minds very quickly because she can handle that bike as if she was born on it. Superb rider and puts me to shame. We both ride all year round and we both love everything about biking from scooters to cruisers. Couldn’t ever imagine a life without a bike.
As time goes on and we have more and more absurd rules I think it’s so important that all styles of bikers need to pull together to protect our love of biking before the politicians get there ways and slowly wreck the whole biking scene.
Thank you for making interesting content.
Hello and thank you, and well done you and your wife, that's really lovely to hear.
As to politicians.....I definitely worry about all bikes going electric...but somehow I just don't think that's going to happen. I have a feeling something else will come along before all cars go electric too. I think bikers are generally (but not always) quite rebellious souls though!!
Bikes are in the blood of true bikers and women are as good as men at riding bikes. I love all female bikers as they are true people just like the male bikers,we are a clan,a family and it matters not what kind of bike you ride. Keep on riding and making the videos and peace be with you and safe riding.
That's a very lovely message thank you. And yes, we're all just people on bikes....no matter who we are....we are family!! You keep safe and happy too!!
And, Roger
Absolutely!!
Anytime I’m out in the car with or without the roof down I’ll always signal to bikers following to let them overtake me safely. They always give me a wave and off they scoot. It’s nice to be nice on the road no matter what your mode of transport is. Safety is a priority.
I was driving today and there were quite a few bikers on the road and I always drive as close to the left as is possible and slow down to let them overtake me. And I get momentarily annoyed when they don't thank me...but most of them do! Well done and thank you ever so much.
"I'll always signal to bikers following to let them overtake me safely."
(That's what she said)
Ride what you love, love what you ride ..... simples
Absolutely... whatever it is. Thank you!!
Straightforward, no bullshit video. Agree totally.
Hello there, thank you very much, that made me feel very proud of myself!! 😊
Im 73 and still ride my 37 year old B M W K75c, , iwas brought up with bikes my Dad had them , one of his brothers was a dispatch rider in the Army , his Son was a well known TT Champion 🏆 on sidecars ,i have 5 Sons 4 of which have Motorbikes so to say its in your blood is an understatement, i love all bikes regardless of size , i was at one point for a number of years a bike instructor, loved getting people into bikes from C B T to test standard , people of all ages and capabilities ,
And Yes i always Nod or wave to other Bikers , stay safe & Shiny side up friends ✨️
Ah, you've instilled your sons with your passion... that's really lovely! I have one son and he has no interest in bikes... he'll say "I like the look of your blue one best" but he's got no idea what it is or any desire to learn to ride....but I think he might come to it when he's older because they've been all around him in his childhood. Thank you for your comment and I love the idea of motorcycle love running through your veins. Keep safe and happy!!
In the UK.definitely snobbery exists pertaining to different bikes, here in FRANCE even the Gendarme waves at you as everyone else.
Really? That's brilliant! I'm actually on the train at the moment going to the airport to fly to Switzerland for a couple of days...I don't know any French and so I'm hoping I'll be in a German speaking bit! I really like it when English motorcycle police nod at me. Thank you and keep safe!
I was stuck in a traffic jam on way back from ULEZ Test and set up on my 2002 FLSTF. Being stuck sat there it's amazing the attention it got from cage drivers and a couple of trucks going by in the Far left slow moving lane .Was even having a conversation with the car driver on my left about the bike.Does make for a nice day on the road.
At least it's now ULEZ exempt.
I've been riding on and off for about fifty years. I've toured, raced and commuted on bikes. Indeed, there are some strange attitudes surrounding the different motorcycle genres. I always remember back in the late eighties, a friend of mine went to a Goldwing owners camping event with his mate who owned a Goldwing. The organisers wouldn't allow my friend (who was riding a GS1000) to camp in the same field so he had to camp across the road. I also notice an elitist attitude from some Harley owners. I have always waved to oncoming bikes, no matter what breed but, wave to an HD owner and it's as if you didn't exist! I even ride a Sportster 1200 custom and I still find that some other Harley guys tend to blank me.
We're a strange bunch.
We are a strange bunch... and it's a big club! That goldwing snobbery was revolting!! That sort of thing encourages insubordination in me. Thank you for your comment... keep safe and happy!
I had 2 sportsters from 1989 to 2004.
I found the same attitude whe i either met or passed big twin owners .When i bought my wide glide in 2005 i remembervpulling on a petrol pump and on the other side was a guy filling up a sportster. He did not look at me .I said nice sporty mate.Suddenly he was chatting away with me as fast as that.
Was never sure he had been ignored before or whether he was just shy.But i had tbe feeling he had been ignored by big twin owners .( pathetic )
I am on a custom FLSTF Now and nod to all bikers .
The truth here is..most bikers in this country acknowledge each other..but in my experience in this country and i have been riding since i was 17 im 58 now..is harley riders they seem to think they are some kind of elitist group..not everyone will agree its just my experience..over the years i have met a lot of women riders but the scene has always needed more. And has anyone ever been asked why you ride a bike..well you need to ride one to understand that...
Agreed! I ride a Sportster and even that's not good enough for some of them!
Harley riders are receiving lots of negativity with this video! It's odd isn't it, this segregation of styles of bikes, as if your bike decides what sort of person you are! Thank you very much for your comment!
I expect it's a lot worse for riders of 125s!!
@@lionheartmachines2193 well we all had to start somewere..125.s or whatever..im getting the triumph out tomorrow to use to get to work as my 35 year old beat up landrover is unwell.
@@melvynrogers3149 I had a 125 for less than a week and then dodgily got a 650 instead. 125s are so dangerous I think.... they're hardly ever capable of keeping up with fast traffic and so they make car drivers frustrated and behave dangerously....also the 'L' plate is like a clarion call for cars to want to get past it asap.
I hope you have good weather for riding daily!! All the very best and thank you.
I ride an '01 Harley Softail Deuce. I acknowledge, respect, wave/nod to all on 2 or 3 wheels (trikes). We're all riding, all bikers, all part of the same community. I've never ridden a Cafe or scrambler bike, yet. They do look fun, though
Harley riders have been getting bad press haven't they! But obviously it's only a few... whatever I'm riding I always nod to people too... and yes, were all bikers. The scrambler is only 3/4 done so far, but it's a really good fun bike to ride and the cafe racer is super exciting.... I've made it so that I'm the 'gallop' position, my rib cage flat on the tank, it's really comfortable and 60mph feels like 80! Thank you again!
I like her ring door bell goes off at the beginning
Sorry about that!! My hens keep setting it off !!
@@lionheartmachines2193 never apologise, i thought it was brilliant
@@staylowmovefast9397 well, you're very funny. Thank you!
Agree with all of that, Motorbikes are good for the spirit, for me that's the biggest part of it. Enjoyed your vid, Best Wishes.
Hello and thank you very much indeed. They certainly are good for the spirit and soul and everything else... It's funny I think that as a nation we're rather 'snob' driven...I found when riding in the USA other bikers more 'inclusive'. Keep safe and thank you again
I’ll say one good thing about Harley riders , they don’t wave or nod . In summer you seem to nod and wave back at every passing bike all bloody day 😂 🍻
It depends what you're on (with a Harley rider). They can be silly sometimes. And yes in summer it's constant nodding dog syndrome!! Keep safe and thank you very much.....I'm really looking forward to the good weather!
Love the video, my grandmother was a well spoken lady biker with Royal Enfield and chair, she was also a mechanic and taught me how to sept points, timing and carb work. I also have a Royal Enfield and BSA. It was a lovely girlfriend biker who got me into bikes properly.
I look forward to seeing your videos so thank you.
How glorious your grandma must have been!!! It's hard enough being a female mechanic now, but it must have been appallingly difficult in years gone by. She sounds utterly adorable, you're very lucky!! And which models of BSA and Royal Enfield do you have? And....thank you very much indeed for your comment.
I love it, well done Tiniest!! It’s got a very different feel to your other videos, you’ve so many styles! (That makes sense doesn’t it?! because you’re talking about different styles of bikes/bikers). And I love the song that plays…at some point in the middle, about the grass being greener…xxxxxxxxxx
Thank you Winsome Churchill!! I really liked doing this one, it made me laugh!!

Never seen you before today. Now subscribed and working through your back catalogue. Great content, so very well spoken and a wonderful mix of bikes (and great background music too!). 52yr old English biker here with Speed Triple 1050 and a Kwak ZR 900. Keep up the great work and stay shiny side up.
Hello and thank you very much for that. I'm hoping my videos are becoming less chaotic
Blast, I sent it by accident (I'm on a wobbling train). Thank you very much indeed for your comment and compliment!
Hi there, just found your channel. Love your style and your bikes. Keep putting out the vids, inspires me to get out there. Especially as I have just returned from picking up my ‘new’ 2009 CB1300.today….i wave at any bike, that’s what family is all about. Ride safe.
Hello Doug! (That's my son's name!!) Thank you very much indeed. How's the new bike? I'm itching to get out at the moment. You keep safe and happy too.
I'm male and been riding bikes since 1978, I mostly ride a Harley sportster but sometimes my Honda 750, I wave to everyone on a bike or scooter. Most wave back but I think it's getting less and it used to be just about everyone waved back so things have changed. Also a huge proportion of my biker mates are now ladies which is great, some of them are on bikes that would scare me and they can handle them, also I think the ladies are out in bad weather more than the blokes, I'm in Scotland and it's bad weather most of the time.
Keep safe in Scotland on your bikes. And I think you're probably right about less people nodding in comradeship. Actually I've just realised.... there's one type of biker that I never nod to and those are blokes in shorts and flipflops!! It's not the shorts I object to, just the flipflops. My cafe racer is 1979...did you have a GS? They're such fun to ride!! Thank you very much for your message.
@@lionheartmachines2193 I've never had a GS. My Honda is 40 years old this year, woohoo, no MOT or road tax. Men in flip flops in any setting makes me cringe. Ride safe. 👍
@@ziggyironicit's exciting isn't it when they're not/tax exempt!! And really it's probably the time they need an MOT most of all!! All the very best to you in Scotland from Devon!
@@lionheartmachines2193 I love your cafe racer, it's a GS 750 isn't it? I was thinking about doing something similar to my VF 750, there's some pretty good ones on RUclips.
It is a GS. 1979 GS750 and I love it too! Thank you very much. And yes...try it with yours, it gives them a new lease of life... That GS looked so bulky and clumpy (to me) before, but now I see it as a sleek, handsome daredevil!
I have all the girls flock around me when I pull up at bike meets on my 49cc Honda express, man how they gush when they look at my groceries in my front shopping basket, it’s almost unbearable sometimes watching them blush when I take my pisspot helmet off and they see my receding hair line…. Them girls know a real biker when they see one,,,, and that has to be me “THE MAN ON A MOPED” ❤
Haha I'm very glad you cut such a dash!! Actually those little bikes can be really good fun. That tu250 I've got is brilliant, it's so light and nimble you can do anything with it! Thank you and keep safe on your speed machine!!
Absolutely love the back ground music , super cool, and super cool biker chick
That's very sweet of you, thank you so much!!
Speed is where I found my 1999 Harley low rider.
It didn't stand out in there.
They did the last oil and I forgot to ask if there were threads in the sump or just graunched the plug in with plumbers tape.
The brakes were unsafe but they insisted on giving it a clean mot.
I wouldn't ask Speed to check my tyre pressure.
Cowboys.
I'm 4 pages into the 2 year restoration that I priced into it on the day.
Biggest issue was the brakes but it didn't help that it had been fitted long ago with a efi fuel cap on a carb system, lucky for the inside of the fuel tank and great it only ran ok ish on hot dry days.
Hello! That's sad that you had a bad experience with Speed. I've never bought a bike from them, but I worked for them for a while up until last year. I hope you've got something you're gloriously happy with now!
@@lionheartmachines2193 it's more disappointing when the sun is shining and it turns a simple oil change into a half day project.
I'm fortunate to have a lathe, milling machine and 1“ EN8 bar lying around.
The fix was making an oversized ½" UNC tap and a new sump plug with a magnet.
The sump isn't straight forward to replace either.
At least I know about it and it didn't dump the oil on the back tyre.
No plans on ever selling this Harley.
It's only 1450 and gets up the hills just fine out here but it makes my ears ring for days on full throttle.
Might get a couple more trips out before hibernation.
I have an aunt in Morchard B but didn't get over there this summer. Good luck with the winter out there.
My simple jobs always turn into long ones too and I get distracted and start doing all sorts of things. Morchard Bishop is very near me. And, it's lovely when you have that bike that becomes part of you and you'd never sell it!! I love that XV1700...my Chinook!!
@@lionheartmachines2193 It's fun trying to recognise roads, they look different with wide angle.
There's a lot of lanes out the back of beyond,if I lived in Black Dog I'd probably say I wasn't near anything much.
Thanks for taking the time down here in the comments community.
@@theodavies8754 thank you for the comment! And it's always lovely to talk to fellow bikers. Those Black Dog lanes will be very damp and leafy at the moment. It's always interesting how the lanes around here lead to nowhere really, just more pretty lanes!
Super good topic to bring up... very original and something we all know, but hardly ever think about. I'm one of those who chooses, to whom I nod. Guess you've got me thinking now about my future nodding habits. Btw, please be careful of the background music volume..., it was a little too loud in some takes, for me to catch all of what you were saying, without skipping back a few seconds now and then!
Thank you ever so much for that comment, it was thoughtful and appreciative! And I know (about the background music) but it was done on purpose because I realised the radio was playing in the background at the motorcycle dealership and I wanted to drown it out (with my own music) so that RUclips didn't censor the video because of copyright laws. Next time I'll get them to turn the music off! Thank you for your constructive message.
Hi, I was watching the start of the video and realised you were about a 100 yards from my house. I always nod and waved back to you when I see you, normally near Crediton and I also get annoyed when people don't acknowledge you back, I wont say which type of bike riders are the worse. I also only recently came across your channel and realised who you were, I must say I have been going back though and watching the videos and really enjoyed them. Keep up the good work and stay safe on the roads.
Haha!! That's brilliant! How funny we're both in the same area! I hope I've always nodded to you too!! You'll have to introduce yourself next time you see me. And thank you ever so much, I'm so glad you like the videos...I am conscious of them being rather disorganised!!

Thank you!! I biked around California last year but went east before I got to Oakland. I adored California!! All the very best to you!
Many tribes, one nation. As a youth, I remember getting a little thrill when people would cross the road to avoid walking passed me ;-) EVERYONE is worried about dropping the bike in the car park in front of the peer group ;-)
Yes, it's a 'big club' and we can still all feel that ego sometimes!! But I think we always should when we're expressing ourselves (which is what we're sort of doing on a bike).... being true to ourselves!
I'm about 4 years older than the1960s 350cc bike I potter about on. I'll wave to anybody as long as I can safely take a hand off the bars at the the time.
I just nod at almost everyone....I even nod to bikers when I'm driving my car.... just out of habit!! But actually it's funny how so many bikers (locally) nod at me in my car as I suppose they recognise me from my bike. Thank you very much for your comment!
Being an x bike instructor I found it interesting that most students think we all aspire to ride Harleys, far from it, all of my fellow instructors bar one rode sports bikes, cruisers have never done it for me apart from a Gen 1 V- MAX, I like your cafe racer I have a 77 GS 750 db being slowly rebuilt, very slowly. I have 3 other bike so I'm in no hurry, anyway thanks for the content and happy riding❤👍
I love cruisers most of all...but interesting that you say that as pretty well all the people I work with in the motorcycle industry prefer sports bikes. When I ride a sports bike I start competing with myself and it becomes a tad stressful!! I adore my GS... it's two years younger than yours (1979) they're absolutely brilliant bikes!! Thank you very much for the comment and keep safe and happy!!
We need more lady bikers. I like to see them and they are on bigger bikes than me. I just think wow, it is nice to see.I have a CBF500 which many people would see as boring but I love it, it is a workhorse. I am not into flash and to impress, I want something that works and is very reliable. It is my only transport, I have never been into cars. I always nob at other bikers, 90% nod back.
I like to see other lady bikers too... unfortunately though we're most definitely in the minority. And there's a great deal to be said for an economical, reliable work horse!! We all should have one! Thank you very much.
Really enjoying your videos but also your music. Is it oossible to listen to your music online anywhere? Re the topic of your video. I spent a few months riding on a honda step through whilst my Shovelhead engine was being stroked and twin plugged - that was an interesting experience re how other bikers look down on me. Little did they know 😎.
Hello there! The music I keep meaning to put up on Spotify ..I'll try and get around to doing that very soon...thank you. And I know what you mean about status and snobbery and image (with the bikes).... never judge a book by it's cover!
Being someone that has ridden scores of different types of machines, I find that the non Harley riders are the most affable lot. In the US, bikers usually signal to one another with a short wave. I never know what an HD rider is going to do, so I don't initiate the wave but will always return it. I receive different reactions depending on what bike I'm riding that day, but usually a really smiley response on my blue Z900RS There are many that hold contempt for bike riders and would happier if you weren't on the road. Anyway, I commend your commitment to bikes that I share with you. You wrestle that big 1700 very well. Cheers.
Hello! I found bikers in the USA more affable than here and they do that really exciting thing with their left hand down and two fingers straight and splayed. I got really excited the first time I returned that signal (it felt truly unEnglish). I would occasionally do the English 'thumb up' but didn't know if they understood that on your side (I didn't want anyone to think I was being rude). I must say in California, Texas and Oklahoma everyone was really really lovely to me. And if I stopped (even for a moment) another biker would stop and ask if I needed help. I must admit, it's really heart warming riding over there!
@@lionheartmachines2193 Hello lady Sophia. I hope I spelled your name correctly. All in all, American riders are pretty cool. But, even today the only guys that waved were sportbike riders. Out of 4 HD riders, not one did and I was riding an HD. The bagger people are really on a trip. I'm so glad you enjoyed your rides here. American riders aren't used to such cool English company.
Hello you!! And yes you did spell it right! Thank you. Harley riders are getting a bad press with this video....but then again it's all a matter of perception.. because if they're that way inclined they wouldn't care what people say! And I'm really looking forward to another American adventure.. it will definitely be this year. All the very best to you and it's lovely to hear from you

I know, and thank you very much because you said that delicately and not at all in an authoritative manner. Most of the time I'll be well protected... sometimes, if it's insanely hot I'll disrobe a little to cool down. But thank you very much for your care
When you're on the cafe racer , you're a gorgeous outrageous rock chick. When you're on the cruiser you're a no nonsense don't mess with mof's.
Haha thank you very much, I appreciate your kindness. I love our different motorcycle personas!!
Your video is so right ! When I returned to motorcycling after almost 20 years I decided my outlook would be, to paraphrase Animal Farm, 4 wheels bad 2 wheels good ! A lot of modern bikes are so ugly and 95 % I would never consider, but I like to find out as much as I can about as many bikes as possible and never condemn anyone for their choice of machine.
I used to be reactive to waves, nods or back in the day headlight flashes, but since returning I am proactive. I’ll wave or nod to any bike, even scooters (unless ridden by a Mod, I’m not perfect). Probably Harley riders are the worst for not acknowledging others on bikes.
With my full face helmet on I could be 26 although I’m actually 62 🇬🇧
I acknowledge everyone too and get momentarily annoyed if they're so prattish they don't respond... But the annoyance lasts a fraction of a second. And yes, there's plenty of ugly bikes out there...but some people think they're beautiful. One of the chaps I work with only rides sports bikes and thinks my cruiser is ugly!! But for me that's so insane that it makes me laugh and laugh. We all have different tastes (thank heavens). Thank you for your comment and keep safe and happy!

The people that get riding motorcycles in their soul.
We’re all chasing the same thing.that feeling of the wind blowing in your face almost like you’re flying. No matter what the package looks like.
Only posers judge people for what kind of bike they ride or don’t ride. They probably have a motorcycle for the wrong reason and it will be selling it in the following year.
I love your comment about motorcycles being in your soul.... and flying free... lovely!! And of course you're right! I work in a motorcycle dealership at the weekends (mechanic during the week) and I'm always amazed at how often we get second hand bikes in that are less than a year old!!! With less than 1000 miles on the clock... seriously I don't understand it! Why would you buy a new bike and sell it almost straight away!!? I do about 10000 miles a year on that cruiser and think of it (almost) as family! Anyway, I agree wholeheartedly! Thank you!!

We need more female bikers full stop. Unfortunately, sexism and stereotyping still exist, but I believe that most bikers are good people at heart and always quick to wave or nod at other bikers. The more ladies that join our community the quicker these outdated attitudes will change. One thing I love about biking is that we all have our own idea of what is cool, whether it's a custom build, cruiser, adventure or sports bike, but as a community we can appreciate the joy of two wheeled adventure, whatever your flavour... BTW, I've really enjoyed your videos, you bring a quirkiness and originality that is refreshingly different. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@yahoodlums hello there and thank you very much for that lovely comment. First of all...I love it that you said we all have our own idea of what is cool. It's so funny isn't it how insanely diverse people's tastes are...thank heavens!
And we need a more equal world full stop. No one should be kept from doing something if they want to do it. But then I'm always aware of elemental differences in the sexes too. And the yin Yang of males/females....we are different and (in general) have different strengths and interests...and that's the way it should be. The thing that's bad is if someone feels discouraged from doing something....but, (like you) I think too that most bikers are good people at heart! I could write more but it would turn into an essay! Keep safe and again, I thank you very much!!

Quite often in Matlock Bath I turn my Tracer 900 around on its side stand, and quite often get comments along the lines of "Skills". Perhaps it does feel more patronising if you're female.
Hello there!! Thank you for your comment! Yes...but you're actually exhibiting 'skills' if you're turning your bike around on it's side stand. All I was doing was backing mine in... nothing even slightly special. But I'm not complaining, It's just that wonder of why people say certain things and how much of what people say is decided by 'preconceptions'! Thank you very much again for your comment!!

Thank you very much Leonard, that's very kind of you. I'm a cruiser person predominantly. I'm far too small for adventure bikes...my feet are 100ft off the ground when I sit on one. My little scrambler is a perfect height for me to be semi adventurous on.....but not too adventurous....I hate getting bruises....so my first bruise and I'm going to sell it!! And...I nod at everyone too....unless they're wearing flipflops or sandals, then I turn my nose up!!
Hi yep much the same when on
Adventure bikes searching every stop for the high ground
But seem to always come back to cruisers your scrambler is a nice middle ground as a lot of adventure bikers seem to use them as tourers
@@Leonard-kd7uj thank you for that. Adventure bikes do seem to be clumsily large don't they and therefore difficult to pick up (I imagine) if they fall awkwardly. But I don't know because I'm far too small to ride any adventure bike.. but yes again.. from what I've seen in a dealership...people use them for touring. That little scrambler is small and ultra light and very cheap (I'll sell it probably soon for £1000) but... back to snobbery, even the cheapness of a bike like that would go against it. Often people think that the more money you spend on something, the better it is.
I just found you❤ i love your style 😊
Hoorah!!!! And thank you ever so much!!
Hi, I'm delighted when women ride bikes...I feel emasculated if it's all men. More power to you in life, you look to have a perfectly adequate supply of power to ride.🐪
Haha hello and thank you very much for your comment. Bikes are inclusive aren't they! (Or they should be). Anyway you've obviously got the right idea... and yes, I've got a few bikes for my differing moods of riding. Keep safe and happy!!
Although you're small, I've just watched you use 2 hands getting to grips with that XVS/V Star so I'm sure you'll have no bother handling anything I've got. 😂😂
I'm sure I wouldn't!!
Machines of speed and time...
SAME SHIT IN AUSTRALIA MATE.
Haha, thank you... wherever we are in the world there's always nobs and nice!
And she smokes cigars! What more could a man want?
Haha thank you very much for that... it's funny though some men are horrified if they see me smoking a cigar!!
Glad you liked it. I always try to carry a couple of sticks whenever I'm out on the bike, love it! Plenty women enjoy a good herf and so they should. Cracking bikes by the way especially the Cafe. Take it easy and do life your own way, I salute you.
Ah, thank you very much, that's very lovely of you. I'm in Geneva at the moment buying cigars!! And thank you for my cafe racer remark, it's such an exciting bike to ride!
Cool love
Thank you very much indeed!
Good and interesting little movie. But please, next time think at people who are not native english speaking, that the music in the background could be disturbing by listening your conversation. It was so hard for me to understand 😂. But I was so curious....✌️😎
Ah, thank you very much... I've taken it on board! And I do tend to talk quickly too because I get over excited!! Thank you ever so much for your comment and I'm really happy that you liked it and in the future I'll try and have a balance so I'm heard and understood. All the very best to you.
@@lionheartmachines2193 "not for that", as we used to say in Hamburg! I liked your movie and I am absolutely with you. You'll find the same behaviour of bikers in our country. I personaly drive an Adventure Bike and a cool Cruiser and a Vespa PX cause I love them all. But it's so different by meeting other bikers. Then I remember how we ALL started in the age of 16. I didn't matter anyway what kind of Moped you owned. You' ve been in BECAUSE you're a Motorcyclist! ✌️😎❤️ (But it's definitely still ugly wearing a glowing safety vest! 😂)
@@scannix19 haha yes it's definitely not cool wearing hi viz vests!!!! I met some chap on the road recently who was on a scooter and was very insistent in telling me that he had a Harley at home....as if I'd judge him negatively because he's riding a scooter!! I'm actually working on a bright red 1960's vesper at work at the moment and I think it's very chic indeed! It's lovely to hear from you, thank you!
@@lionheartmachines2193 Sounds great! I also found my '89 PX 80 in a shed, were it spend a home for a group of spiders. It's still rusty, but I will give it a new life this year. I traveled all around europe since my beginning in the age of 16. But haven't been in GB ever. I saw a lot of travel documentations around so many beautyful places among your historic country, that I'd love to go there once in my life. If this would really happen, it would also be a pleasure to meet you on my journey, maybe for a little conversation about motorcycles while having a good coffee? I'm sure you could give me useful recommendations about what it would worth to ride to! Greez! 👋😁
@scannix19 absolutely!!! So if you do come , be sure to let me know! I live in Devon in the countryside, but of course there are many other beautiful places here and brilliant roads for biking. I hope you come!
Ride what you love, love what you ride, everything elses opinions are like arseholes , everyone's got one😊
Haha yes... and it's important for us all to be happy on whatever we love. Keep happy and safe!
Of course it has been known since the invention of the motorcycle that they are good for your health..mental health well being whatever you want to call it...
Yes, and for me they've been incredibly beneficial! It's that freedom of body and mind, just perfect. Thank you for your comment!
@@lionheartmachines2193 of course comming from a family of four brothers who were all into bikes and me being the youngest my life was definately going down that route..the bikes the music the beer the good times definately rolled..the bikes have changed the people have changed but on a bike the feeling of freedom remains the same.
@@melvynrogers3149 that sounds like it could be the premise of a book...I like it...an ever changing personal landscape and the same passions!!
I nod to everyone, been riding for fifty years, I have a Harley Dyna chop, A shovelhead Electra glide, a 1977 kz 1000 Kawasaki, and a dnepr with a sidecar, ...nod to everyone , especially the kids on L plates, if you are out on the wind , that's enough , nothing more to say!
Do you know, I do too. But.... recently I've become more and more annoyed that the only people who never nod at me are older chaps on 125s!! It's very unmanly of them!!
Cool 😎😎🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️ Ronnie said Hi ❤️👊
Thank you Keith!! I was just thinking about you today!! I hope you're well!!? And hello to you both too!
@@lionheartmachines2193 🤗🥰😘🏍️🏍️👍
You I’ll have the whole band here soon what with Keith and Ronnie in the comments😢 nice vid mrs keep it up aloha………..
Hahaha, I hadn't thought of that! And...thank you very much indeed!
Don't matter what you were riding you is fucking gorgeous stay lucky and safe ❤
Hahaha thank you very much indeed, that's very sweet of you. I shall endeavour to stay safe and lucky! You too!
crusier riders rarely respond to a wave so one doesn't bother with them after a while, i tend to keep away from adventure and bmw types as they seem to have acres of money and consequently i'm unlikely to have much in common - really i get on best with bods like myself, peeps who enjoy the swooping about i suppose. as for the ladies, i don't know, i'd rather not get invoved, too dangerous ha-ha. good video lol.
I think there are sub groups in some groups, I ride an ADV( Tenere 700) and I find we are all very similar, mostly we have a love of the backcountry, camping and exploring, also most of us have grown up on dirt bikes and are practical types, the sub group being the big BMW GS riders who don't really do much offroad, but still explore. I don't have much in common with sport bikers, cruiser riders , harley owners etc but if they are easy to talk to I enjoy a yarn with them. It's easy to feel like something in common when other riders pull up and they have crash bars, luggage, knobbie tyres and covered in dirt.
@silverdale3207 ah, but I think adventure bike riders are always pretty inclusive! And yes, we all have something in common! I was chatting to a teenage boy the other day on his 3rd 125!! (He'd crashed the others!!). I'm far too small for an adventure bike... otherwise I'd give them a go! Thank you very much for your comment!
Hello and thank you.. .you could still have something in common with them though even if they do have lots of money! You're still enjoying yourselves on two wheels. When people hear me talking they always think I'm rich (but I'm far from it). Thank you ever so much for your comment and I hope you keep safe and happy!
great you ask these kind of questions, i wince a bit at your lack of protection, knees, elbows, back etc sometimes it is better to forget fashion and be safer even if it doesn't look that cool lol. also if you work at a deealers you are only going to meet a portion of the market unless they do some budget trade ins maybe. bikers have a common enemy, the distracted car/van driver all the rest is jusy minor difference imo ha-ha,@@silverdale3207
Eilla ciao, io guido una INDIAN SCOUT BOBBER 2023, ci si sente Let's rock 🤘🏻. Go.
I'm thinking very seriously about buying an Indian scout bobber!! They're beautiful...look great, lovely low seat (I'm very small) and they're light too!
@@lionheartmachines2193 Ciao, posso confermarti, che la mia INDIAN è molto affidabile, molto stabile anche d'inverno, comodissima, benzina e oglio e va sempre non molla mai, INDIAN una garanzia. Ciauuuuuuuu. Let's rock 🤘🏻.
Thank you so much! I'm going to go and look at some next week!! Let's see!!! ☺️
Does what you ride determine what sort of person you are...it shouldnt ..it certainly dosent me as ive ridden sports bikes cruisers tourers classics shiny bikes and shit bikes..im just me i just ride.😊
It certainly shouldn't determine what sort of person you are....if you're well adjusted!! I took a Ducati for a ride last summer....hopped off the cruiser to try it out and they couldn't get me off it for a while...it was terrific fun... two wheels generally are.
👍
Thank you
Love the videos. And should be more woman riders.
Oh, thank you so much, that's very kind of you. And...I quite agree!!
Just found your channel? You look sexy and cool on all your bikes? How could anyone not acknowledge you? On any bike 😂you say weird snobbery? That missed me by? I acknowledge everyone on bikes no matter what they are riding !
Thank you very much indeed! And I acknowledge everyone too. I'm in Geneva at the moment where everyone's on 125s!!
Hi love cool❤❤
Thank you most kindly
tbh i only listened to you coz you sound like Gorgia "Toft" Toffolo. Yes, you have freedom of speech but you don't have to voice your oinions. I ride superbikes, nakeds and cruisers and I do know why I like each. I've had more success with ladies using my Fireblade than with a Cruiser. Women want balls so it doesn't really matter if you drive a Tractor or a Monkey Bike so long as ye have a pair. 😂😂
That's such a funny comment on so many levels. Balls are great, but I'd prefer a tractor to show them off rather than a monkey bike...(interesting choices). And a Fireblade is a beast, you're always going to look good on that. And yes, people have freedom of speech....there are quite a lot of bullies out there though and there's absolutely no need for it.
Ps. I'd never heard of Georgia Toft, so I had to Google her... she seems very sweet but doesn't sound like me!
