I've had one and Im' glad I got rid of it. The mirrors wouldn't fold sometimes and get stuck.. sometimes wouldn't fold back.. The seats.. are comfy but I was never comfortable in them over longer journeys no matter which setting I tried. The rear suspension would sometimes sound really bad when I would reverse. The infotainment was pretty glitchy and it was hard to get to used to but it was really nice to look at.. thats all i can say about it.. just good looks!.
Superb. Lovely features, clever. Initially looks very much like the previous one but when you look closer...it's actually quite different in some ways. Love the interior too. And a great underground set up by JLR. Excellent.
XC40>Evoque. Beautiful car though. The problem is with so much tech with the modern cars there is higher chance that something might go bad and the repairs will definitely cost quite some amount.
My wife had the convertible and it had heads up display so was previously available. Also had issues with cracking door hinges so surprised they did not change them as it is a common issue. Our new Discovery 5 has also had hinge problems needing them replaced. I just hope the infotainment system is faster than in the Discovery because it is very slow and does not have car play.
wow, Range Rover really did an amazing job with this car. I would certainly buy one if I could afford it. This company has been on a roll, its great to see!
Front looks great, side profile good, interior is brilliant then paused it at 4:17 - bloody hell they messed up the squat looking rear end. Rear window is terrible along with the rear bumper area. At least the tail lights look OK.

Wonderful tech, I'm glad you finished with a mention of how you are going to find out how it drives. That is the most important thing about a car. Nothing much in that report that interests me. In an urban environment, I run rings round cars like that in my Fiesta, but I would like to find out if it uses a transverse engine, what sort of AWD it uses and a bit about the engines.
Used carwow and was contacted by five dealers who all offered me my choice of car AT LIST PRICE. Complete waste of time. Got a better deal visiting the dealer's myself !!!
i like it.. but what abotu the safety features. will it have an autonomous emergency city break system, like the XC40 or Q3 have? and does it have a lane-keep assist that actively steers to keep you in a lane if you’re drifting over a line?
As a Volvo XC40 owner I also like this car too and would happily have them both in the garage. However the LR Evoque FE model is sadly over 10 k more than my FE model D4 XC40. That much extra is difficult to quantify.

I'm looking to buy the velar, first time buying vehicle in this price range. I'm just a bit worried about the reliability of range rover. Ye have experience owning one is it a good and worry free owning experience.
dj az I’ve done a review of ours on my channel but I’m hoping to do a much more in depth one soon. But long story short, your velar will have plenty of warranty and you can pay after it expires to extend it even further (or negotiate that when you buy it!!). If it were me I would find a used low mileage Velar and save $15k and still have basically the same warranty. You’ll love the car, but if the nearest dealership is more than a couple hours away it may not be the ideal choice. Ours had the blinker lever go bad, it had a wheel bearing go, a coolant hose go, rear window sprayer clog, and then there is the yearly maintenance (not exactly cheap... $500-$1000 USD per year). All of the maintenance we’ve had done was covered aside from the coolant hose which is considered a wear and tear item. That being said we have actually considered a Velar next, but with the new hybrid Evoque just announced I may have to wait for that. We love our British cars.

dj az ouch, google tells me that that’s a lot of money in the currency converter. Do everything you can to get the dealership to throw in free maintenance and extended warranty if you can. It will be much better for you than getting a lower price. There is a chance you won’t have any problems in which case... “oh well”. But on the chance you do have issues you will be very happy seeing the repair bills at $0 instead of $5k USD (...a lot in MYR)!

@@nicolef2147 That's all very well. But the XC40 has a reputation for unreliability too, but without the luxury. Land Rover's problems has always been 'software'. I'm confident that they have turned the corner.
I've had two and had a Defender fro 22 years. Along with looking better, I would expect LR producst to last longer than every other SUV marque except the Toyota Land Cruiser which is the only other vehicle in the same class off road.. The majority of the vehicles they've made since 1947 are still running.

how long before most of the hi tech bits start to fail. Until Landrover gets its reliability act together and start treating its customers with respect, stear clear. Buy the BMW, better build quality, better customer support.

It’s got a HUD display in my 2016 Evoque so that bits not new. All looks great . I’ve owned two and will be ordering this new one 👍

A new Evoque appeared in my side mirror yesterday on a highway, and for quite some time I thought that was a Velar. Very good road stance.

Remember everyone. Buy 2. One to drive while the other is being repaired. Land rover is near the bottom of reliability. All show and no blow.

Bought a Kuga, 4yrs, no problems. Bought a Brand New Discovery Sport , within a Year, nightmare with the electronics....
