They don't care about others people property and they assume well it's under insurance oh well it ain't coming out of my pocket. But if negligence is found to be the cause of the accident which it looks like it was, the insurance will still pay for it but will be coming after whoever was driving with a lawsuit. They most likely won't get their money back but dude will end up with like $90k on his record and they will garnish until he most likely file for bankruptcy. That's just the way it is.

New millennial way of thinking, it's a common thing that naive decisions will eventually happen when people that young have too much money and have access to NASCAR level performance cars.
Let me be positive here. First, your videos are first class and so are you with your honesty and sportsmanship. Second, you’ve got more guts than I do, putting a car with that power to weight ratio in the hands of somebody who could well be a total newbie to it. The Redeye’s pretty close to my C7 Z06 (even without tune), and while I’m happy to give anyone a 4-5 second thrill tide in it, I couldn’t entrust my baby to somebody I didn’t know to handle it on their own. With these P/W ratios, it really requires a bit of time to learn what the cars like and don’t like. I’ve had a number of 600+ hp big block C3 ‘Vettes, but still had to learn the Z06 (primarily because the C3’s squat and transfer weight from front to rear well on acceleration, while the Z will only do a bit of that in tour mode with traction control off). Since you were protected by insurance, you simply made a business decision, and although it didn’t end well, I am very, very confident MOD2FAME will. Best wishes to a terrific RUclipsr!

If they total it out buy it back from the insurance company and swap the motor to the other hellcat

Galen Claybrooks I think it would be less I’ve seen people total gt350s hellcats mustang gts Camaros insurance companies basically pay to send them off to auction and some cars with minimal damage sell but sometimes they would rather avoid transport and auctions etc and they leave them where there at if the owner wants it for $5000-$15000 and a red eye engine and trans is worth 30-40k and you part out the interior and good part infotainment system etc and you are basically getting most of the money back toward the crashed red eye. You are basically taking a small amount off the claim which they would rather give you a crashed car for cheap than money. Look at Adam ls he took his burnt down gt350 back from the insurance company and bought a total one to rebuild both were cheaper than a gt350 and he sold all the good part and interior out the crashes one and it basically paid for the car.

To be honest Steph. You had a good concept for give a person a chance to drive a dream car. A lot of people rent regular rentals and beat them then to death. Even though it got wreaked it is a great concept just like you can rent exotics cars. If you still do it you might have treat the rental like a exotic and charge a high security deposit and more for extra insurance were the customer absorbs the cost to rent it. You all ready said you had a great contract on what to do and not to do. Great job on it steph. All so you have to treat it like a business because Hertz wouldn't be worried how a person drives because they are going to get rid of it after a year.

I don’t think it is totaled which is even worse. Probably $22,000 worth of damage and 30% additional depreciation. If insurance doesn’t cover it then it will probably cost you about $50,000.

I just took the front bumper off my SCAT to add a splitter and there's a lot of structural support behind it that can easily get distorted or completely damaged. Sad to see a nice Redeye get damaged, especially for those who have a compassion for cars. I can't stress enough that driving a hi-powered vehicle on the street requires a good level of driving experience to handle the unexpected.

Don’t worry steph i curbed my rear end on my charger Hellcat swinging out and insurance covered my my whole cradle and suspension. I didn’t damage as much as the body though but my total cost in repairs was 20k. Hopefully they can save yours bro. Stay up.
