  • On of the clan members was taken by a massive crocodile either from the bank or the actual bridge itself. It tried to fight its way free but only lasted a few minutes before being taken to the reeds and consumed. 👆🏾

      5000 pounds, actually.
5000 psi is a common mistake, the original measurement of the bite FORCE is in 5000 pounds of FORCE.
A young suckling hyena has 1/5th of that, for reference (so a fully grown hyena would be a good deal stronger, but definitely not on the level of the croc).

People are morons, if it were left to people on RUclips to decide, the entire African savanna would be dead. Hyenas are actually an important indicator species, scientists use Hyena to decide if there’s life in an area. When Hyenas leave an area, scientists knows it’s because the ecosystem is dead. Without Hyenas, you’d have mass destruction and disease from all the rotten flesh. Morons, really.

POSSIBLY, hyenas get a lot of HATE because they possess MANY of the least desirable human traits, such as being cunning, manipulative, ruthless and Machiavellian.
Personally, I admire how determined and intelligent they are, BUT I'm pretty grossed-out by their feeding habits ; ESPECIALLY their tendency to disembowel their LIVE prey, eating their nuts like they were Planter's nuts and eating their victim's eyeballs - pretty gruesome Stuff!!

The scariest thing about crocs is that they're armour-plated, that's why only Jaguars, lions and Tigers see them as a food source, especially jaguars and tigers. I've watched videos of lions attacking crocs for food, but lions, unlike tigers and jaguars, don't seem to have a strategy on how to kill and eat them. Wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas have no defence against crocs and so don't go near them or are very wary of them. I've only ever seen videos of elephants and hippos confront or kill crocs in Africa.
