A15 is definitely the better chipset, but it’s so ironic how the iPhone is held back not by the hardware for once but by the software. The software on the s22 is much better.
The A15 takes most of the limelight, but pretty remarkable that my Pro 12 w/ the A14 is 66% faster on single core performance and over 40% faster in terms of multicore performance vs the S22 Ultra. This certainly adds value in terms of device longevity.

I'm trading in my 12 pro max for a green 22 ultra and not going to lie this has me worried a lil. I'm willing to stick it out as I'm tired of boring iOS. However iOS will always be more optimized and smoother so I'm switching knowing full well it won't get better or be the same with the galaxy. My 12 pro max somehow doesn't even last a day anymore. Before I can charge every 2 days, now I need to charge twice per day. I fell asleep one night and left the camera on for a few hours which heated up the entire phone. It went from 94 to 93 that night and now it's at 91 so I'm sure I pretty much destroyed the battery efficiency. I know iphone has a lot of lock in with people from iMessage to being super fast and optimized but I'm rooting for galaxy at this point because that phone looks like I took my lg nano and shrunk it into my hands, it's so beautiful to look at. If I have a few hours less with it than iPhone so be it. Jailbreaking is practically dead for iPhone and so is my hope to stay with one.

Awesome video, Nick!! I am not surprised with the results!! Apple's A series chips will always be the best in performance, but nothing against the S22 Ultra as its' chip is a first generation, and as a rule of thumb the next generation is usually where they work out the bugs and hopefully improve the chip in its' performance. So I would not count Samsung out yet as far as performance goes. I would like to see how the Google Tensor chip does against the Apple A15 chip though.

The iPhone is smoother in general. A lot has to do with physics (especially scroll physics) used on these phones. iPhone being smoother doesn't mean it's more powerful. These days any phone is capable of super smooth animations. Samsung's/Google's developers clearly had different priorities which is why android phones are generally easier to use (especially with one hand) whereas iPhones are supposed to look nice, give amazing first impression which is probably why they've spent so much time on making it "smooth". Most people don't need iPhone's overpowered CPU but it works well for marketing. Overall, I'd say samsung is a better phone and this is based on my experience of using Galaxy s10 and iPhone 13. Yes, Galaxy s10 is better despite being slower and having older hardware. Just get S22 for the newer hardware.
iphone once again blowing the competition out of the water, your bias for the samsung products never ceases to amaze me. Just look at the bestbuy test, put the video in .25x and its dead even.
Eh okay i hope the performance gets fixed. If not its okay I'll get the s23 ultra with the 3nm gaa processor. That's the pinacle of smartphone performance so at that point I don't even care anymore. Physics wont allow sub 2nm processors but the performance increase between cfet 2nm transistor designs & gaa 3nm is like 5-10% under lab conditions so 3nm will do just fine. 3nm gaa is like pretty much the perfect traditional chip design. Because of thermals and efficiency whilst keeping an even higher top level of performance. Snapdragon 8 gen 2 will be insane but also super pricey...

Commenting from my note 20 ultra. I'll keep it until it doesn't work anymore. Samsung removed the SD card slot and that's a deal breaker for me. Man, it's going to be tough finding a phone with one after this.
The boot up takes longer when there is no SIM card in the phone as it keeps searching for one. And as for the lagging when scrolling I have noticed that also on my S22 ultra and it never did it on my S21 Ultra. What I think is happening is the screen is dropping down to 24hz and back up to 120hz and it is glitching. If you turn on Dev options and inside that turn on view refresh rate you'll see what I'm talking about. And if you're getting in the 9s for single and 2,000s for multi then there's something wrong with your phone

Much anticipated video
The difference is Apple has had months to optimize while S22 U, days. Wait a couple updates
iphone once again blowing the competition out of the water, your bias for the samsung products never ceases to amaze me. Just look at the bestbuy test, put the video in .25x and its dead even.
s22 is weird right now, my fold 3 be much faster lol s21 faster than 22 right now, def needs updating
We were waiting ✋😌
It looks like a flagship against a low-mid range comparison.
Should be updating this week I believe. Some are saying it'll be a GB... Android 12 might of been a bit presumptuous
I had to return my iPhone 13 pro max with 256gb of storage cause it was bugged out you are right the s22 ultra is way more developed and a much better device I pre ordered the s22 ultra
This is starting to get old these phones are a waste of money you can find any phone to perform highly of any company nowadays for a low price there's nothing you do to these phones that happens in it already been done
Getting my s22 ultra tomorrow morning
People have to remember this phone didn't even come out yet. It's on pre-order stages. Wait like a month or 2 and then you can fairly judge it
Yes that's why I mentioned that in the video I will run the test back once the bugs get ironed out
@Nick Ackerman oh yeah ik im just saying I've seen people trash on it like the last years iPhone is so much better than the s22u but the phone didn't come out yet. That comment was targeted at those people. Some have deaf ears.

I mean it’s just soo clear, that the A15 Bionic is just the KING of Speed and keep in mind that, the 2022 flagship chipset from Apple is not even out yet. The A16 is literally going to destroy every chipset! 😈 And Great video btw.
You should test more in the ram management part
Give double pressure in ram, ( open more powerful gaming apps like codm, pubg, apex etc)
you'll see s22 ultra will start to reload in every other app when iphone 13 pro max still stays stable.
iOS is still faster
No its not 🤡
@@eibarmanpessi1142 droid fanboy iOS still has better optimization as you can see
But android is better due to its features and you can do anything in it not restricted like iOS
@@Smzxe but the Samsung beats the iPhone in the other speed test 🤡 the s22 needs to update
@@eibarmanpessi1142 Lol you think higher mpx depends the quality too slow fps 🤡
Gonna cry mad
Go to Hacker Game🤡
I have been using l pad 11inch M1 for 6 or 7 months now and ohh boy it keeps impressing me day Afer day
Bro honestly nick I love how your just straight up blunt in other words that you don’t bs you just call it like how it is about these devices lol! Great video! 📱
Hey Nick, would you switch from iphone 12 pro max to s22 plus? Thx
A downgrade
Commenting from my note 20 ultra. I'll keep it until it doesn't work anymore. Samsung removed the SD card slot and that's a deal breaker for me. Man, it's going to be tough finding a phone with one after this.
Definitely do speed test part 2
imagine if you do the speed test using exynos chip hahahahhahaah
Both are very fast.
I'll go for s22 ultra millions times over iphone let's not forget the cameras and resolution 3088 by 1440 s22 ultra is a killer 👌 😎
That's right 👍👍👍
And the battery life is just trash in tje 22 ultra ...crazy with 5000mah
@@Cubano2031 Trash??? What phone are you using Right now?
Bionic chips are just insane
Do you think iPhone has better color accuracy? The white background on s22 looks bluish.
iPhone is just unbeatable
Startup should not be compared, why? they both run completely different Operating systems
NO MATTER ABOUT SPEED I PHONES ARE BORING....
Iphone for life
Make a video when this samsung has received some updates, please
I am disappointed the galaxy is this slow right now but like you said it's new and should be much better after updates
Excuses excuses 😂😂
@@JDM4EVR exactly they are fanboys... Don't wanna admit iPhone is ahead
Boot up is slow too on my s22 ultra. And play store scrolling is really choppy.
What do you mean iPhone takes screenshots to make look the apps like they're still running and open when you reopen them?
I don't think that's the correct score on the Geekbenck S22 ultra is was like around 1200. Could be a software update but Great review nick👍💯
Yes weird results here after updates we gotta re do! Thanks for sharing:)
@@nickackermanchannel the sd 8 gen 1 seems to be throttling earlier than it needs to be. Even with light heat. I assume that could be happening here. It definitely needs it's sets of updates.
My s22 Ultra opened everything he opened faster than his s22.
iphone always looks like it is 5 years behind in design
But few days before i have seen that galaxy s21 fe beats iPhone 13 pro in most of the cases.... Then what happens to s22 ultra surely can i say that it also can beat iPhone 13 pro max easily just need few updates to make it stable.
And I saw an alien yesterday. I cannot prove it but you can trust me.
So….yes, I made the better choice!! (As usual!)😁 I’m always team iPhone 📱
samsung Exynos the best choice 🤣
Great Race. I have both. I'm proud of them📱📱📱😁👍
Why are reviewers on with this note thing is it supposed to be funny or what😏😏
I have never seen an iPhone win more apps than the Samsung. I just think the S22 needs a bit more updates
I think internet speed is slower in s22 ultra than iPhone here... Notice the bgmi check for updates speed there...
iPhone's screen colors look more natural and accurate. And its white is not as blue as S22's
For me, I would just
The weather app got refreshed in S22ultra
something wrong with ur ultra i saw other videos samsung was much faster
Idk I've seen some articles and others saying the phone is in need of optimization I'm going to re do the speed test after a few updates
Yes jony me 2
Samsung getting smashed on speed.
Yeah they need an update for optimization
iPhone is a little faster - but only when comparing side by side. At this point both phones are great, so just get whatever you want depending on preference... android vs iOS
Hi please make a video on curved display of s22 ultra Vs note 20 ultra from India 😊
Should of used 8gb model considering price and iPhone has 6gb
mannn! i can't stop calling it the note😂😂
The main gaming experience is not about speed, Apple can set the game to the highest resolution and frame count and play it smoothly, but Samsung cannot, Samsung’s main advantage is camera and Dex!
