But in less than 48 hours, Eskom announced stage six load shedding, plunging the country into long hours of darkness.

I fail to understand why we should still listen to Ramaphosa. One day we'll find ourselves in permanent darkness. As we speak, no maintenance and loadsheding continue

Electricity minister RAMAKGOPA should be fired immediately, he has been in this position now long enough. The situation seems to have deteriated under his and Ramaphosa leadership. Tax payers money is being wasted on this guy.

Ramaphosa cant fix the major screw ups that where made to Medupi and Kusile power stations. These where the 2 units that where going to prevent load shedding. Instead the ANC looted and mismanaged the project and now we are in a deep hole that won't be fixed quick by anybody.
No one wants to accept the reality that the coal fired power plants are beyond a point where they can be repaired and one can try and maintain them as much as one want to, but they are just too old and ran downed. A full refurbishment of each unit required as the speaker says but ANC just want to keep load shedding to the minimum as voter propaganda.
Nonsense. These plants can run for hundreds of years. Eskom must issue tenders to maintain them but only 100% Bantu companies must be allowed to win. This will totally eliminate load shedding.

I cannot understand why some people are so afraid of "the private sector"? We all get everything that we rely on, is cost efficient, reliable and at the forefront of technology from "the private sector"...Food, clothes, shoes, beer, liquor, cars, medicines, computers, phones, aeroplanes, boats, ships etc.etc.... we get EVERYTHING that WORKS and we actually WANT from "the private sector"

As for Intentional power production failures: Never ascribe failures of government to clever planning when they can be explained by incompetence and corruption. Occam's Razor applies.

If the ANC cannot solve it, who can? It's easy to speak than to do. If the opposition wanted load shedding solved, why don't all parties come together with all their plans and experts to discuss the solution instead of politicizing it.
