Man that looks beautiful! The MVSX and Dragon's Lair cab are the only machines I'm willing to pay full price for. I'm definitely going to do that headphone decal, and knowing me I would like to add a real headphone jack in there. Subbing for more content 😎
Well done video. New marquee colors really pop, but I dont remember seeing any in the arcade that looked like that, still looks nice though. Might have to do the cosmetic coin door replacement as it looks more authentic.
Look up big red neogeo 4slot. They all had mini marquees but some of the bigger cabinets had an additional “neogeo” marquee right above it. That’s what inspired this.
I got my faux memory card today. It’s sweet. Nice quality for sure. Also I have that Iron man poster. I need to frame it along with a bunch of other mini posters. Nice video bud. The red on the new marquee is way better! I shoulda got one of those while ordering. I do prefer the pics of the games on the original though. Wonder if Joe could make a custom one for me. Hmmm. Looks great! I have the base for this with the coin door and the headphone Jack is more authentic to the arcade machine. With the coin door on the base that mini coin door looks ridiculous to me. I like the design on the original marquee better but the new one really does pop. Really noticing how washed out most of these lit up marquees are on 3/4 cabs. Although this is one of the best stock ones. I am not someone that mods usually but will be taking out that mini coin door and want the memory card/headphone Jack plate. Also want to try and move the speakers above if easy enough.
Another really good video. Thank you. I also notice you have the USB on the front or at least something in the bottom left. What is it? I really want a big riser than the standard but they aren't shipping in the UK. I also would have liked to use riser for storage if it had a hinge.
I have a stuck pixel and wanted to remove the plexiglass front to try to fix it directly on the monitor. Question: Once the side is removed does it look like the plexiglass could be slid out?
Just realized I hadn’t responded to this one. Did you get it sorted out? What I was told is the easiest way is to remove the bottom panel and slide the Plexi down - there are some screws that you need to loosen/ remove as well.
I feel like this is a downgrade. Maybe it is the marquee design or the sticker. But workmanship is a 10/10. Now I know how to replace it with my preference. Thank you
He said he would be putting up the marquee on the site , as for the memory card plaque goes, you would just need to request it "MVSX Acrylic Memory Card Panel"
I hope you like it , because to me , it honestly looks like you wasted your time and money modding it to look worse . Swapping a fake coin door for a fake headphone jack is well …. Uninspired in its continued lack of functionality, and the marquee; albeit my opinion , looks more obnoxious than it does stock . I just ordered mine . It’s not so much that you did a bad job . You did an excellent job . It’s just , why go through the hassle and risk of breaking it for an almost not mod . I see a lot of people do marquee mods to add backlighting , but you didn’t get that . In essence, it seems you got very little mod for an awful lot of effort that in my opinion made the unit look either the same or worse . Again . You nailed it . This is just my hot take . Cheers and you did do a good job , even if I just don’t like it .

Thanks for checking it out! I had an old Logitech wireless keyboard usb extension thingie and used it to route the USB port to the front. Good eye!

Nice! Did the memory card plate 100% cover the coin door hole?
I think you need laser precision to align it just right. I opted to leave some showing at the bottom as it’s hard to notice.
