- Hello and welcome back ... Let's take a time machine back to the early 1980's and revisit one of my all-time favourite Ken outfits from childhood; - 'GO-ANYWHERE GEAR!' from the 1983 'Fashions Classics' range. We de-card this fashion and talk a little about its supposed inspiration and some interesting variations, with a little men's fashion history thrown in! Thanks so much! ☺ You are so right! I remember that they were the coolest back then, (and I still love them now!) I feel so fortunate to have gotten those sneakers just by chance!

Thanks Deany!!!! 😘 That music is from a very big electro/synth-funk duo from the 80's called 'The System.' They were one of the pioneers for that synthesized dance music sound that really took over in the early 80's. It was such a drastic change from what was happening in music just a few years before. They were one of my big favourites from back then, (especially the album version of this song that had vocals, 'You are in my System' which was a massive hit for them. It was such a huge hit that even Robert Palmer recorded a very popular version of it a few years afterward.) I remember spending a fortune (an entire month's pocket money!) on this album that was only available in Melbourne on import at Central Station records back in 1983. I wore that album out! LOL ... and yeah, that's the main reason I wanted to do a video on this, because of the personal memories of this outfit I had. It's so great to revisit one's past through Ken's wardrobe!
Hi fashion doll dreamer😃. Very stylish Ken fashion pack. I actually used to have a black knockoff version of this jacket. My ex husband said I could have it because he didn't want anymore. It was fun to wear something retro. Enjoyed the video.
I heard they made a comeback a few years ago, after one of the characters on 'Stranger Things' wore one. Thanks for watching! 😘

I don't have this one, I think I've been sleeping on it. Now I need to be on the lookout for it, it's very 1983 in the best way possible.
However it gives MJ vibes so Ken better be careful he might get cancelled
@@trentobryan9792: LOL There was actually a red jacket with sparkly shoulders and lots of zippers on it that's a dead ringer for MJ's jacket in 'Beat it!' It was a 'Twice as Nice' Ken fashion from 1985. #9116. Look it up if you haven't already!
I know, right? It's the GOOD side of 1980's men's fashion, IMO!! I remember thinking it was so stylish even back when I was a 13 year old. I hope you get it soon. I've noticed quite a few available online lately, so it's not so rare or HTF, I think.
But did anything happen when he put it on? Must be a counterfeit jacket.
LOL! Superstar Barbie in the Townhouse is now giving him the eye, so maybe something might still happen! 😜
