I’m upgrading from a OnePlus 10 T to a OnePlus 13. The truth of the matter is there is no wrong choice here both are excellent units. The only reason I’m moving off my old one plus is that my friend bought the OnePlus 13 but he realized he was too invested in IOS to give up his iPhone. So he sold it to me for $750 (16/512). I am going to give my OnePlus to my brother-in-law as it is still an amazing phone that will have an upgrade to android 15.

I am blown away by the 5G speeds I am getting on the OP 13. Almost double that of my S24 Ultra and triple the speeds of my iphone in the same exact spot in a test!! It's got the new Snapdragon X80 Modem in it, which I believe is also in the new S25 Ultra.
Every One+ 13 vs S25 comparison I've seen shows the OnePlus 13 dominating real world pics and videos..... I'm really glad Samsung screwed up so bad this year, because if they gave us 16GB of RAM and left the S-Pen alone I would've just ended up buying the S25. But here we are, and there's 2 OnePlus 13's on their way to my house. We're very excited to move up to the better phone.
What network are you on and did you test to see if the oneplus had good cell coverage as it doesnt have all the 5g radio options in the US? Im very interested in the OP13 but had issues with my last oneplus phone and getting goid 5g coverage where i live.
I want to try the One Plus 13, but I love collecting phone cases, and there aren't many case options for any phone that isn't iPhone or samsung 😢 when the one plus price goes down, i might get one
I believe the one plus 13 comes with a screen protector installed. I know my one plus 10 pro came with a screen protector from the factory. The one plus 10 pro by the way still runs as smooth as the day I bought it, with great battery life.
This is the one everyone was looking for. I know we had a little back and forth in another video, but i appreciate your thoughts in this video! It's one of the reasons i sub to your channel. Thanks for doing it.
Typing this on my OP13 and I will say I couldn't be happier with my choice. So many features on the OS side and so much improvement on the hardware side. In my opinion this is what peak smartphone feels like.
It would be very interesting if you could comparison between the S25 ultra and the oppo find X8 pro/ultra and a comparison between the S25 Ultra and the vivo X200 pro
The OnePlus 13 comes with a screen protector installed. I've had the phone since January 8th and I have no issues with it it looks good and it hasn't peeled
I use Samsung AI daily. I'm from the U.S. but also live in a Spanish-speaking country. We chat a lot on WhatsApp rather than texting. Samsung AI is unmatched. 5:15 The oneplus photos look very ultra sharp (not the good sharp).
In a world where style does matter. I simply cant be rocking a phone that looks like its got a minidisc stuck to the back. Don't these companies employ people with an eye for aesthetics?
Not going to complain about a battery and charging when I only charge once a day and less than an hour. 2 years with s23U and still all day. Getting the awesome deal with S25U love samsung period.
In 6 months, in some markets, that is, you can get these phones at the same price, and regardless of bigger number better, the software features if the Samsung phone, close the deal for me.
It’s common with op and app optimization. Developers for Android to focus on the more popular brands I.e., pixel and Samsung devices. Unfortunate but hopefully with op release this year developers will take them more seriously. Games are another example. Graphics tend to be better on mainstream devices this is why op doesn’t throttle as much as the s25 because op isn’t pushing as intense graphics.
The pixel 9 pro more closely compares with last year‘s S 24 ultra. They came out in the same year and are direct competitors. Pixel 9 pro is still an excellent phone.
I don't know about other countries but in Asian markets Oneplus has lost it's charm and is not selling as good as they used to. Reasons: Not a flagship level camera and having plenty of display issues particularly in the Indian market. They're not a flagship killer anymore. The Vivo X series is shining currently.
I believe even though the OP13 screen is flatter now, it still technically requires a curves screen protector right? I prefer the flat ones that are glass
1. Camera is better despite some obvious bias reviews on YT. Good pics in low light and no blurry moving objects. It's a fast snap. 2. Battery life is very good. Better than my S24 Ultra. It also charges insanely fast😅😅. 3. It's extremely snappy. No lag or hiccups anywhere. 4. Display is gorgeous and gets extremely bright outdoors! Two things to consider however... I really enjoyed one ui 7. I was on the beta. It was very nice. Not saying Oxygen OS isnt but I think I liked one ui better. The only weakness this device has that I can attest to for now is the speaker quality. The speakers on my S24 Ultra were considerably better. Some have said that it may be the waterproofing for the ip69 rating. Idk. They aren't terrible but they arent great either. @TristanWegner-mw3id
If only Oneplus wasn’t a Chinese brand with shady history of data breaches in the past. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used Oneplus for a long time up until 7TPro but the way company handled data breaches and criticisms over green line issues did it for me. OP13 is a great device but I’m not willing to risk it again.
Does one plus quick share work the same as Samsung as a share a lot of videos and photos many times with Apple users so the copy URL on Samsung works well
Adam what colour did you order? My reason for choosing the galaxy as opposed to the one plus, was purely ecosystem. I’m currently on IOS and the accessories are the best! So I wanted to carry that experience over.
I loved the One Plus 13 but I returned it because of the camera. It's inconsistent and overprocessed. I love OnePlus phones. I wish they could just get the cameras right.

I had the the Galaxy S23 Ultra and then switched to the Oneplus 13 . It's a great phone ، especially with its huge battery and fast charging speed ، but i really miss the zoom capabilities of the Samsung's Ultra phones.
Oneplus 13 just has so many useful advantages than s25 ultra with a fraction of the cost. You get better zoom camera, 7 years update, dex, spen with no bluetooth with s25 ultra. Is that worth 400usd. You get better battery, charging speeds, ip69, ir blaster, better screen imo, with a competitive camera with the oneplus. No brainer get oneplus unless youre a samsung fanatic.
Samsung as the best screen phone screen. lol you should review a phone before you talk, and charging speed isn't gonna let me us phone with a weak ass software
@lilmojii sorry i hurt you. We all have our own opinion. I do have an s24 ultra display just too saturated and vivid. Only advantage is anti reflective coating. But i think oneplus display better this year. Higher peak brightness 4500. Same resolution. Displaymate a++ score, can operate with wet hands and if screen is wet. Same ultra sonic finger print sensor. Also oxygen os 15 is mature and many people like it. One ui 7 software is amazing as well and dex is so useful. You have to try both phones and not be so closed minded before you speak. Look at things objectively and not just be a fan of one brand. That is why this brands think its ok to charge big amounts because people like you buy it and follow them blindly. Have a nice day.
Do you recommend any good screen protector for the S25 Ultra? All the tempered glass screen protectors will negate the excellent anti-glare property of the samsung display.
There's a setting to adjust fingerprint sensitivity after installing a screen protector. You just have to rescan your prints after installing. I've been using the same screen protector for 3 years on my S22 with zero issues. @@jagerking7020
Trading in my cracked s23 ultra. Through my carrier getting $852 for it if i get s25 Ultra. Trading in for One Plus getting me $105. So there is my choice there. Furthermore, trade in a OnePlus. No one recongonizes their phone for trade in yet. So yeah, more reason to go samsung. Because youll be having to private sale it to get rid of it. Way nicer just giving it back to the carrier for a new one. OnePlus make some carrier deals!!! It will be good for the consumer for sure.
Literlly spending $450 for the s25 ultra after trade in. I wouldnt even upgrade if my phone wasnt cracked. But a new screen costs $340 plus tax for the s23 ultra. $110 more dollars trade it in for the s25 ultra. Thats a no brainer
I sent my OnePlus 13 back - largely because of the inability to permanently disable Google Discover, and not fixable with custom launchers because of a lag when using gesture controls. I had a few other gripes too and the lack of Dolby Atmos made it sound worse than my older midrange Samsung. It's unfortunate because the hardware was perfect for me! I've now got my eye on the S25u, but still not completely convinced and may wait and see what else turns up on the market.
As someone who has had every samsung ultra/note series. One plus 13 is my first phone that isn't a samsung or iphone. One plus 13 is significantly more enjoyable to use than my s24 ultra. Plus I can root it and see no adverse effects. My interest in samsung died with the s24. One plus is winning and imo it isn't even close.
Just got the One Plus 13. I live in South East Asia and I imported it from China for 680usd. Gotta admit, the hype around ColorOS/Oxygen OS is true. Really surprised me how smooth yet snappy it is. 😅
Easy to bash Samsung for an iterative update but realistically the battery capacity and charging speed is pretty much the only thing I can think of that they could do to make it better. Camera appears great now, software is now much smoother, can't see how bezels get any smaller. They've pretty much perfected the candy bar form factor.
I have been using my Oneplus 13 for over a week and it has been amazing. The camera is great and the battery lasts the whole day I mean 13 hours and it still has 30% for me.
My S24 U batterylife is amazing just now again.. but i reset mine allways after big uppdates last AI 6.1 last and wipe cache every uppdate and run good guardian galaxy booster. Just charge it SOT is 9h17min and screen off 13h47min and 20% left. Full setting allways on. When i cancel me S25 U i I was really thinking of getting the Op13 as a backup, but we'll see if the battery life improves to the 6000mah level
I am the best person to comment on this comparison. I just traded in my S23+ with a brand new 1+13, 24gb, 1tb variant. All I had to pay was 404usd, or 35k INR. The deal was crazy enough for to not huy another Samsung, as I was a sammy user for the last decade. But before this purchase, I had a good look at the s25 ultra review unit, guess what the photos looked even worse than my S23+. May be s25 ultra needs a lot optimization, but at the moment S23+ still took better pics every single time. The highlights were better controlled, the dynamic range was even better. Now coming to the 1+13, it took somewhat similar photos, but with more accurate colours than the S23+. So here is the climax, I regret buying the 1+13, at the cost of S23+ because it simply is not as good a multimedia device as a flagship should be. The phone speakers lack ant richness whatsoever, feels like I am listening to an old cheap momo speaker system. And then the HDR/Dolby vision content is so pathetic, there is so much noise in the dark scenes, that you wish there was no HDR. 1+13 is a great phone in all other aspects, but the multimedia experience is way behind even the S23 base model. All that Aaa aaa+certification by display mate is a gimmick. Your are never gonna get better audio or video in 1+13, if you don't go with the s25 ultra. As long as you are not a content creator, 1+13 camera system will serve you well. The phone is ultrafast. But remember, you will never feel you have a flagship device. With the S23+ I was hooked on to the streaming platforms, 1+ doesn't inspire me.
Your vid has just backed up my decision to go out and get op13. All round its a better device imo maybe samsung has better cameras and it has the pen but oxygen os isnt too far behind one ui. Fantastic comparison great to see people being very objective aswell 👍
I bought an S24 Ultra one month before the s25 launch and I'm glad. Not feeling The 25. Those rounded corners and camera rings look terrible and to top it off less features. I'll probably keep my S24 at least 5 years. It's dumb to "upgrade" every single year.
I own an iPhone, but I’ve had the chance to see both Samsung phones. I particularly like the S24 Ultra. It looks more aesthetically pleasing and feels more premium.
S25 Ultra without a doubt for me. It has features I like to use, the design and the Ui I prefer, and doesn't have a curved screen. OnePlus 13 is a nice phone, a flagship, no doubt about that. Don't buy this S25 Ultra if you own a S22 Ultra and above.
Thinking trading in my oneplus open for the 13. There are still a lot of apps not optimized for foldables. Do you think its worth trading oneplus open?
I sold my Honor magic V3 which was amazing to buy one plus 13. Just because I like bigger main screens and I don't regret it. It's an amazing phone... So fast and smooth
I am still rocking my Note 10+ (it's still going strong) and haven't found a phone I find a worthy replacement. After the display issues of the S24, I am hesitant to go for the S25. The OnePlus 13 seems a viable option, but then again, the idea of going with a China phone is a bit unsettling. I really would love the flagship Xperia but the software support is just abysmal. As it stands right now, it looks like the Note 10 will have to carry me for an other year.
I'm team Pixel rocking my P8P waiting to see what they have up their sleeve this year with the 10. But now if I had to choose between both of the phones compared on this review it's a tough decision honestly cause even though tons and tons of consumers are crapping on Samsung for a lack luster S25 series phone(s) I still think they look amazing and performance is pretty sick . But for me I like to think outside the box and try new things and One Plus does just that and puts out ground breaking phones just as how LG use to as well. But I like the monthly updated security patches not by monthly. So I don't know brother but thanks for the comparison Adam great video we'll see YOU on the next one.
Among one plus 13 and Samsung s25+ which one should I take ? both of these have the specifications I am looking for , camera isn’t that important to me so fine with either . Now what I want to know is which among them is more durable and gets less heated on long use with or without gaming ?

I always ask this question too.
I am blown away by the 5G speeds I am getting on the OP 13. Almost double that of my S24 Ultra and triple the speeds of my iphone in the same exact spot in a test!! It's got the new Snapdragon X80 Modem in it, which I believe is also in the new S25 Ultra.
What about the sound? Not everyone uses ear buds all day.
When watching videos, which one sounds better, louder?
Every One+ 13 vs S25 comparison I've seen shows the OnePlus 13 dominating real world pics and videos..... I'm really glad Samsung screwed up so bad this year, because if they gave us 16GB of RAM and left the S-Pen alone I would've just ended up buying the S25. But here we are, and there's 2 OnePlus 13's on their way to my house. We're very excited to move up to the better phone.
Yeah, I'm actually very impressed with the camera of the 13. It has completely surprised me.
Everybody last year said this should be the last year with this form factor
I don’t know that everybody said that, but it was a fair guess
Man, the only thing holding me back on Samsung is Modes and Routines. I have a lot of rules set for my work apps. if not, I'd move to Oneplus 13.
Modes and routines are definitely nice
What network are you on and did you test to see if the oneplus had good cell coverage as it doesnt have all the 5g radio options in the US? Im very interested in the OP13 but had issues with my last oneplus phone and getting goid 5g coverage where i live.
Use T Mobile
I want to try the One Plus 13, but I love collecting phone cases, and there aren't many case options for any phone that isn't iPhone or samsung 😢 when the one plus price goes down, i might get one
The OEM cases for OnePlus are the best
I believe the one plus 13 comes with a screen protector installed. I know my one plus 10 pro came with a screen protector from the factory. The one plus 10 pro by the way still runs as smooth as the day I bought it, with great battery life.
Correct. It does have a film style screen protector installed.
@TechOdyssey
Maybe you should mention it during your review. The screen protector my one plus 10 pro came with is still holding up real well.
@ I did in my regular review. Forgot to mention it.
This is the one everyone was looking for. I know we had a little back and forth in another video, but i appreciate your thoughts in this video! It's one of the reasons i sub to your channel. Thanks for doing it.
Very tempted on going to OP13. How hard is it to get it fixed os something happened? How is service in the US? I also got tmobile.
I'm using it with T-Mobile and it works just as good as any other phone I've had on this service.
It would be nice if I had the OPPO find X8 Pro for sure
The OnePlus 13 comes with a screen protector installed. I've had the phone since January 8th and I have no issues with it it looks good and it hasn't peeled
That’s good that yours is in good condition because mine is in terrible condition and I’m about to take it off. I’m not impressed.
I use Samsung AI daily. I'm from the U.S. but also live in a Spanish-speaking country. We chat a lot on WhatsApp rather than texting. Samsung AI is unmatched.
5:15 The oneplus photos look very ultra sharp (not the good sharp).
The picture taking in over 30 zoom turned to crap on the S24U. One of the reasons I upgraded.
What colour did you buy, Adam? My partner chose the jetblack which looks incredible on pics, it’ll arrive on the 1st 😊
I got the green one! That's cool. I hope y'all enjoy it!
at this rate, they should just be called mobile cameras with call functionality😅
Palm PC with Camera.
@eyeshezzy exactly right
lol
@@chrisskinner6483 "Palm PC with Camera" and oh ya, we stuck a phone in there too. Thought that functionality should be in a.... phone.
In a world where style does matter. I simply cant be rocking a phone that looks like its got a minidisc stuck to the back. Don't these companies employ people with an eye for aesthetics?
Yeah the camera modules on the back of a lot of the Chinese phones look crazy.
Looks are always subjective. I actually like the way it looks so I’m gonna have to disagree with you.
Wich phone has the best heat management out of those 2?
Both have large vapor chambers. You'd have to run a heavy load on both simultaneously and measure temps to see which comes out ahead
I switched from the s23 ultra to the OnePlus 13. I want my Samsung back. Samsung has better features
I have a S23 Ultra, can I ask what's wrong with the One Plus 13 and what Samsung features you miss?
What features
I switched from S24U to OP13 and couldn't be happier. What do you miss?
Not going to complain about a battery and charging when I only charge once a day and less than an hour. 2 years with s23U and still all day. Getting the awesome deal with S25U love samsung period.
What about call quality and connectivity?
Oneplus or Samsung?
Both are very good. No issues.
Like ive asked before, can we use the bluetooth spen from previous models to get the full function from the 25
Got my shipping confirmation yesterday for my s25 ultra. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
Nice! That’s cool
Oneplus does have a large cooling chamber at 9925mm² but the largest is Redmagic at 12000mm².
Cool
In 6 months, in some markets, that is, you can get these phones at the same price, and regardless of bigger number better, the software features if the Samsung phone, close the deal for me.
I've had my OnePlus 13 for 2 weeks and love it. Don't miss my S24 Ultra.
Great phone
Did you see any difference in cell reception?
Nope
Had to return my op13 because it was incompatibile with a certain app i need. Didnt wanna retuen but no choice. S25u should be here on Thursday
In which country are you? I will buy it from you, let's have a deal
What app was incompatible with it?
It’s common with op and app optimization. Developers for Android to focus on the more popular brands I.e., pixel and Samsung devices. Unfortunate but hopefully with op release this year developers will take them more seriously. Games are another example. Graphics tend to be better on mainstream devices this is why op doesn’t throttle as much as the s25 because op isn’t pushing as intense graphics.
I have similar issue.Facebook, youtube and some other app i have used on it have minors issues while it seems good with my s24 ultra
Do they officially sell this in Canada or is it the third party?
S25 ultra is better if trading in.
How can he literally talk for 23 minutes straight
How's the Audio from the speakers? They actually removed dolby Atmos. Is it bad?
I love my s23 ultra but the screen is cracked right on the edge. Definitly ready for a flat screen.
I'm a pixel guy. And I love OnePlus I've always wanted one. But I have never seen a OnePlus out in the wild. I live in Ohio and that makes me sad lol
I pretty much never see them
Samsung is getting too expensive and now they are removing features
Yeah i keep hearing how the camera shots on the S25 Ultra are very good because of the processing power of the New Snap Gen Elite chip.
Yup yup
How does the s25 ultra stack up to your 2024 phone of the year pixel 9 pro XL?
@@deiwizard pixel 9 pro XL wasn't phone of the year,it's terrible and overpriced
A reasonable response from the uneducated peanut gallery
The pixel 9 pro more closely compares with last year‘s S 24 ultra. They came out in the same year and are direct competitors. Pixel 9 pro is still an excellent phone.
Waiting for this one all the time thx
I don't know about other countries but in Asian markets Oneplus has lost it's charm and is not selling as good as they used to.
Reasons: Not a flagship level camera and having plenty of display issues particularly in the Indian market. They're not a flagship killer anymore. The Vivo X series is shining currently.
In Asian countries I would buy the Oppo or VIVO
Samsung is already selling the S-Pen with Bluetooth enabled for $49.99. What a joke this company become
Incorrect. Recheck your facts. The S-Pen for $50 doesn't have Bluetooth. And they are not going to sell
A Bluetooth enabled S-Pen for the S25 Ultra.
@ ☝️paid by Samsung!
No, they aren’t. That was a rumor.
How is the live translation feature on the S25 Ultra? Has it improved ?
I believe even though the OP13 screen is flatter now, it still technically requires a curves screen protector right? I prefer the flat ones that are glass
The main part of the screen and the sides are flat, but the edges are not. That’s the issue.
This is always subjective but goodlock keeps me getting s25 ultra can't be without it at all
Watching on my OnePlus 13 😊
My S24 Ultra is for sale 😅
What would u say why do u keep the oneplus and get rid of the 24 ultra what are the reasons?
@TristanWegner-mw3id
OxygenOS is way smoother, oneplus 13 has better display, faster charging on oneplus 13
@Yes-dc7lu I know just wanted to her some first Hand experience will get it myself soon has everything I need great phone
same here
@TristanWegner-mw3id
BBK has been stepping up with extending support. My Iqoo 13 is up to 4 years Android/5 years security patches.
Was actually waiting for this :)
I hope it was helpful
Does one plus quick share work the same as Samsung as a share a lot of videos and photos many times with Apple users so the copy URL on Samsung works well
Adam what colour did you order?
My reason for choosing the galaxy as opposed to the one plus, was purely ecosystem. I’m currently on IOS and the accessories are the best! So I wanted to carry that experience over.
I ordered the green one. The Samsung ecosystem is definitely nice
@@TechOdyssey i went for the white! To accompany my buds 3 which have arrived today!
Most definitely the comparison we’ve been waiting for!
Usually don’t pickup OnePlus devices for my channel but this might be the year 👌
I'm considering the OnePlus 13. I have an s23 ultra but my concern is the camera quality. Camera is my main concern which has me on the fence.
I think the camera is better than the S23
I loved the One Plus 13 but I returned it because of the camera. It's inconsistent and overprocessed. I love OnePlus phones. I wish they could just get the cameras right.

@@TechOdyssey thank you. Sorry if you mentioned that in one of your videos and I missed it.
@ no worries. I did before but I think I said that for the S24 ultra. Same applies. I wasn’t being short with you. Just in a flurry of replying to tons of messages. Thanks for watching!

after i said i was never going to use a fold I caved in and traded my s22 ultra for the fold 6 and got it for 800..so far it hasnt dissapointed me but given that one ui7 is coming to the fold six as well and i have gotten use to it im just going to keep rocking the fold 6 for a while
The Fold 6 is a great phone.
I had the the Galaxy S23 Ultra and then switched to the Oneplus 13 . It's a great phone ، especially with its huge battery and fast charging speed ، but i really miss the zoom capabilities of the Samsung's Ultra phones.
S25 Ultra has the s pen and desktop software that some people want, but I think the better question is One Plus 13 vs the S25 plus.
I don’t think that’s the better question because the OnePlus 13 is a full flagship phone and the S25+ isn’t
@emnyz37 you can literally change how you want ur display to look..
Do you recommend any good screen protector for the S25 Ultra? All the tempered glass screen protectors will negate the excellent anti-glare property of the samsung display.
Spigen and AMFilm
Screenprotectors suck on galaxy becuase it makes the fingerprint sensor shitty.
That’s a great deal
It’s a great phone
Just got the One Plus 13. I live in South East Asia and I imported it from China for 680usd. Gotta admit, the hype around ColorOS/Oxygen OS is true. Really surprised me how smooth yet snappy it is. 😅
It's a great phone!
You’re a good speaker man!
Keep it this way
Appreciate the support, man
My S24 U batterylife is amazing just now again.. but i reset mine allways after big uppdates last AI 6.1 last and wipe cache every uppdate and run good guardian galaxy booster.
Sticking with the s25 ultra. My phone and free buds pro 3 have just shipped!
Nice! That’s great. I hope you enjoy them

I've been trying to find info on these phones can anyone tell me if you can use in the U.S.
Both of them are available for purchase in the U.S. and supported by the major networks.
@TechOdyssey Thank you! So I can purchase the 13 and possibly connect it with AT&T or T mobile?
Thinking trading in my oneplus open for the 13. There are still a lot of apps not optimized for foldables. Do you think its worth trading oneplus open?
I sold my Honor magic V3 which was amazing to buy one plus 13. Just because I like bigger main screens and I don't regret it. It's an amazing phone... So fast and smooth
what has better speakers
And onplus 13 has there own dynamic island that's better then iphone 16 in my opinion
Im still rocking my S3 bro. Calls 911 when I need it to.
24u to OnePlus 13 here... No regrets at all..
I just wish the 1TB/24GB ram option was available globally
That's a question I'll be able to answer in a few days because I just got my S25 plus last night
