Doug & the Slugz are American Oi pioneers same as Iron Cross and The Press from the early 80's. Glad to see you interviewed them, and you asked some good questions there. Also important to point out ,especially for people that don't know. These were all non racist skinhead Oi bands. Very important I think, as getting that message across to the mainstream is a great way to get people aware there was always two sides to the culture. Not just the bad bunch of w.p skinheads that the media loved to focus on in the 80's, and still now. So credit to you for interviewing them. Definitely a part of American Oi history and skinhead culture, mostly unsung before until now. I'm ex skinhead now, back to punk again, but its always good to see stuff like this. Real deal skins talking about proper Oi .Cheers 👍🍻
What a huge gift of music Doug gave us and what a huge loss the Skinhead and Punk world has come to bare with Doug's passing. My condolences and prayers to Doug's kin and to the band
Jim and Craig shout out Sue Ellsworth and Cathy Skinhead Girl 1982 Club Llahsa also Big Shaun and Skinhead Larry, Jim love that white SG good to see you in a band mate. Stuart Rudeboy Haynes🏁

There is a Canadian band from the 70s called Doug and the Slugs. Weird that a modern band would use the same name.
