It was a real treat to watch this podcast with Dr. Walsh, an amazing spiritual scholar and Course devotee. The discussion between Roger, Emily, and Robert touched on new insights for me. Those times when the ego's darkness causes me to doubt certain Course principles were dispelled by the participants' high level of discussion and commitment.

Dr Walsh takes the High Road and stated he believes the Source of the book is, D All of the above.
I found the opinions of who wrote the "Course" is varied. It appeals to many people on many levels.
I have heard people say Jesus wrote it, the Jesus Spirit wrote it, a Spirit but not Jesus channeled it, or a panel of psychologists wrote it.
The Course states Jesus wrote it by inference. It refers to the Crucifixion and Resurrection in the first person narrative.
It took me about 10 years to decide who wrote it. I figured it out for me, when I picked it up for the nth time, but this time I actually am trying to read and live the Course. The Course states, you don't have to believe who wrote it. Just do it.
I wish I had figured this out 10 years ago (48 years ago, when I was 17).

Imagine a small Persian rug with a design fully woven on it. The complete design is already there. The very tiniest of insects enters the rug. It cannot see the entire pattern; all it can do is choose which line of the design it will follow. The line it selects determines which parts of the whole pattern it will encounter. It can veer off onto other lines because it has free will and freedom of motion. The insect will then encounter different parts of the whole pattern. It can always switch again. Is this analogous to our trip through the dimension we are in?

I close my mind to guidance because I'm afraid of the answer. I'm afraid the guidance will be something way out of my comfort zone. Obviously, my issue is trust, which I'm working developing. But there have been times when guidance was clear, usually for "small" things like which vintage typewriter to buy. My assumption is that these seemingly harmless calls for guidance are training in the acceptance of guidance without fear.
