Little Update after 8 months: They are still hanging on my structured wall like they did on day 1. They are also easily adjustable in height and position or swapped as the entire picture is magnetic. I'm very happy with the purchase. :)
Just in time for me to think about buying some. What about the stickers on the wall, if you move out can you buy more

Does displate have rights to sell copyrighted stuff?

@Arcazon if i understand correctly then it means unless say Akira Toriyama himself or Bandainamco doesn't complain about this Goku displate to the website then its all fine. Right?
I definitely agree with you on the subtle art. It's the reason why I don't have many shirts from franchises
Great review..I’m decorating my home office and will probably get a few of these myself! There are so many different options on the website, it’s overwhelming, but they have such a good selection!
Pretty cool they look very nice and I like they are matte gives them a bit of "class" instead of just a poster... 😎

Just ordered my son an Iron Maiden , As a parent I’m glad he won’t be destroying my walls so I think this idea is great I hope it works well for him!
Part of the problem with the colour is they ask artists to upload their files in RGB (red, green, blue) mode ( I just uploaded a couple).. but printing is always done in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). CMYK colours will never 'pop' as much as RGB colours do on screen. Certain screen (RGB) colours you just can't replicate unless you use special inks. I find it very strange they ask for RGB jpgs/pngs.
Hey, why do you find it strange, Is there a particular disadvantage with that format?
@@Archie76684 printers don't print in RGB they print in CMYK... if you take an RGB picture into photoshop and switch the colour to CMYK... you'll see the colours change slightly

@@paolom7833 without frames , don't have a rough wall. It's easy to apply and still hanging tight. Pretty good stuff, expensive but price worthy
Damn. I just ordered mine glossy but seeing your video I'm kinda really digging the matt. Hopefully I love the gloss as well especially with the extra pennies spent

Is the whole back of the picture magnetic? So could eg easily adjust. Im planning to buy two and I want them inline but I wont be able to do that with the magnets on the wall

The mounting system has failed me multiple times due to the leaf folding up on itself under the poster causing them to fall constantly I feel like they need to addresses this issue
Loving it so far, just ordered a kakashi and Goan plate to go along with my Dragon Ball Vegeta and goku fist pound into sunset. Along with a few others. Pricey as heck but great quality. Would I save more by joining the club?
the club is worth it if you consistently buy displates because youd save a shit ton on shipping

I ordered 3 medium ones even though I prefer the L or XL but they are way too damn expensive lol

For now, I'm staying away from anime when it came to this. I picked some fantasy city images and space stuff. Decided to give them a try to gift myself something since i have nothing in my room lol. Decided to get a gift for my lil brother and mother to save some money.

I have purchased four displates and the magnets laster a whole year in my dorm no problem
Also have had mine now for 2+ years they are still hanging no problem lol just like he said tho with the Large use two magnets not one

These are great and all, but be aware if you are ordering Internationally from them you're probably going to get whacked with a possibly significant import fee that you won't see right away.
I made my first order with them and was not so pleased to get a $54 import fee charged by the shipping company while the package is en route. Not saying this is Displate's fault or anything, but unfortunately, it's making me doubt whether I'll ever order anything again. Just something to be aware of.

Where do you live? If I'm correct they are placed inside the EU (Poland) so if u order from Europe there shouldn't be an import fee
@@TheCottonCandy707 I live in Canada, so yeah there's an import fee and I suspect it will be similar for other countries outside the EU. Don't get me wrong the product is nice and I'm happy I got them. However, they are expensive enough just on their own and the extra fee is a bit of an ouchie. That being said of course this happens with a lot of products if you order internationally.
@@Khan1670 yea I get what you mean. It's an EU thing cuz I live inside the EU so ordering stuff from the West or Asia gets a huge extra fee so I literally stopped doing that now cuz it's unaffordable.
Luckily Aliexpress I think pays the fee for me so atleast I can still shop there :')
@@Khan1670 These shipping companies are ridiculous with the fees. I ordered an XM statue from Canada, and got hit with an import fee. I told them to get the payment from the company, because the company's site said free shipping, but they charged me for shipping.

my displate I purchased 1 and a half year ago is still hanging like day one and my wall is super structured. Just make sure with the first install you press against the adhesive plate 1-2minutes with full force, to make sure everything is tight and good.

I obtained a large and the poster fell within 2 days . Keep in mind I’m in a new home with new walls. Not only did it fell the poster bent and broke a display case I had underneath

Up till now, is it still on the wall or did the magnets fell off? I heard from some that it didnt stick on the wall anymore after few months
I had mine (medium size) for a few months and magnets work just fine for me not sure if it's different with the larger sizes

No even with a discount and the small one, dude I bought the smallest one they got with a 20% discount for father's day and still was 55 bucks

Yes
I'm disappointed they don't have any see through metallic parts.
The limited editions have all sorts of cool stuff embedded in them, and reactive paints. Then there are the LED Luminos, which glow with effects. Pricey, but worth checking out

Honestly pretty shady how they sell additional magnet packs. Greedy business decisions like that make me feel like avoiding the company entirely

It's for if you decide to move your poster. The adhesive are not reusable. I don't see the problem at all 🤷🏽♀️
Same thing with their “frames.” They literally just print a blank boarder around the edge that costs them nothing to do, yet they charge a stupid amount for it.
Why? You always sell accessories to your main product. The price is perfectly placed for the displate it self. Any cheaper and the designer is left with nothing. I really don't think it's shady at all.

Not worth at all. You can order really big ones in printing house and frame them. Better quality, bigger and way cheaper.

Can someone please help me. Please. Chris MD and displate scammed me. I ordered three displates and the price was 84.71 euros but we got charged over 200 for each one and can't do anything about it. They also stole the credit card and charged more money to it. I have screenshots and everything showing this but displate is not even refunding us half or anything. Furthermore, we haven't even got the posters yet. I have always liked Chris and thought he would be reliable but he has lost me hundreds of euros. Does anyone have any clue how I could get the money back - or at least some of the money back. Can someone please help me get in contact with Chris or anyone who could help me out. I'm begging.

Not worth the hype - no matter size, gloss or not, the colors are always dull and misrepresented in the website images. No pop at all to the actual posters.

That's CRAZY FUCKING EXPENSIVE. I could buy six posters for $20 each .. that's $120. Now pay someone $50 to professionally install and mount three of them. Then a month later hire the same guy to switch them out for me, like a boss and STILL SAVE $80. ($120 + $50 + $50).
Fuck man, for $400 or so I could literally buy 3x LCDs and mount them and just show images, video, etc on my wall lol. That's so fuckin insane. What a ripoff.
This guy definitely did not pay for this shit himself & was sent these by the company and paid to promote it. What a joke.
