  • To test your NAT type for multiplayer connections and achieve an open NAT on your Xbox Series X, follow these steps:
    Check Your Current NAT Type:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system - Settings - General - Network settings.
Look for the NAT Type field. It should ideally be "Open".
Ensure there are no errors like “Double NAT detected” or “UPnP not successful” displayed.
    Troubleshoot Specific NAT Errors:
If you encounter any of the following errors, address them:
NAT Type: Unavailable: This means you can’t use party chat or connect to multiplayer games. Re-check your NAT type.
Can’t get a Teredo IP address: Teredo is essential for secure communications. If you see this error, follow the troubleshooting steps.
Error code 0x89231906: Occurs when joining a party chat session.
Double NAT detected: Resolve this issue by following the steps provided.
    General NAT Troubleshooting:
If your NAT type isn’t “Open,” try the following:
Port Forwarding: Configure port forwarding on your router to allow Xbox traffic.
Wired Connection: Use a wired connection or keep the console close to the router for better Wi-Fi performance.
QoS Tagging: In advanced settings, enable functions that prioritize Xbox traffic over other devices on the network.
Restart the Console: After making changes, restart your console and recheck the NAT type
