There was an actual Soviet Top-Gun Called "Mari" named after the Airbase, wich was a Training Program in the Soviet Era.

Movies where russians speak in russian accents arent historically accurate unless they are speaking english in the story as well. Russian accents speaking english are like english accents speaking russian. If the characters speak English for the convenience of the viewer but speak Russian in the story it doesnt make sense for them to have Russian accents because they are not speaking English. This is why in movies like The Death Of Stalin they speak english in a variety of british accents depending on what kind of russian accent theyd have if they spoke russian to the viewer

I love how some of the explosions actually take a second or two to reach the camera due to the speed of sound, and also that a modern russian soldier is using a pps 43 (without the bolt locked open too, aka he can't fire it).
Arma 3 be like that.
Seen a few pps variants knocking around ukraine at the moment on both sides, sniper back up weapons, self defence weapons, trench clearers, that sort of thing.

Also, I don't think it was disrespectful to comment on the fact that Russia is laughable right now, Ukrainians have fought hard and honorably, but Russia has also made massive blunders, and the rampant corruption that the west has known about for years is finally affecting their once Great War machine

First and foremost, it is despicable act of classic western propagandism to assume we have functioning helicopters in the line of duty, let alone assume those still survivng would not be reserved for the defence of Moscow, and therefore allowed to take off...
