it's not as bad as I make it out to be on here, and you shouldn't be afraid to make the jump, or at least test the water, if you're wanting freedom from Suboxone.

I should have just taken the week off work to get off oxys 2 years ago. These subs are so much harder to kick. Couldn't afford to miss work. These cold sweats and no sleep yet exhausted is so much on top of other health issues. Let's all keep working at it. Tapper the right way. Time flies. Much love ✌️

I was on suboxone for 6 years roughly. Prescribed 24mg a day but was only taking 8 mg split between 2 doses most days. Some days i would take up to 16 mg. Needless to say I stopped going to clinic and had hundreds of 8mg tablets. I got down to just 1/4 of one, or 2mg, a day over the course of 6 months. The last 2 weeks I made 1 8mg last the 2 weeks. I scraped off crumbs from the tablet with a knife. I stopped and had literally no withdrawels. I was expecting hell and it never came. I did take .1 mg clonidine 2x a day for the first 4 days after stopping as well as 10 mg of loperamide 1x day. Good luck yall. Alot of it is in your head. Freeeeee finally.

I’m on day 6 from 2mg. I really have felt very little withdrawal. Been on it almost 20 years. I do have Ativan so maybe that’s helping but I keep waiting and nothing really is happening except minor leg pain, overall feeling kinda depressed but I’m hoping the withdrawal doesn’t start up like a week or more after my last dose. Like I said I’m day 6.

@@dwb131313 2mg for 20 year's is a very long time forget about the dose just the sheer amount of time you been on it is enough for the withdrawals to last 30-60 day's and that's just the acute withdrawal phase the post withdrawal phase won't be as bad and you should be able to go about your business by this time but seriously it could take a good year or so before you're brain fully recovers. Make sure you taking long acting naltrexone for atleast 12 months to help give your receptors a chance to heal and begin producing endorphins ( feel good chemicals) independent from the opioid. Long acting opioids like buprenorphine will make you suffer for a very long time mainly because it's a partial agonist. Let me know your status I know what I'm talking about.

The restless leg was the worst for me. As someone who took it on and off for 4 years the withdrawals sucked. When I started I would take a 1/4 of an 8mg strip. I took that amount for the first year on the recommendation of a friend and it was here and there. Then later I started more consistently. At the time I had no clue what withdrawals were so there was no panic when I was close to running out. Once you experience your first withdrawal it will forever change how you take a drug. Glad I left Suboxone behind. Good for you on getting off it.

Im on day 2 of no suboxone. I was on it for 6 years. I had gotten down to 1/4 of a 2mg strip. When i knew i had a little less then 1 strip left, i started cuttinf it with a razor, into the smallest little slivers. My last 2 days, i cut my last little sliver, in half. I mean, this thing was small, but it was enough to make me feel somewhat normal. Im day 2 of none and ive had restless leg like a mother at night but i still was able to fall asleep. I drink a lot of water, and i did light exercise. Im praying i can be back to normal soon but im expecting it to be at least 2 weeks or more of mental stuff. Be strong. This is your life. I know we can do it.

Full blown anxiety, chills, idk what tf it was but it triggered something. I was also a 12 yr bulimic. That next day i dropped to 3mg, day 2 was the worst, sweating, cold, chills, but by day 7 i was feeling good. 2 weeks later i dropped to 2mg and then thanksgiving day (why i chose that day ill never know lmao) i went to 1.75 i was feeling amazing til day 4 (last sunday) and mannnnnn did shit creep up. A little anxiety, nothing i couldn't handle but the restless lefs at night is BRUTALLLLL. Feels like fucking bugs in my legs. Im taking otc restless legs meds and otc sleeping stuff but nothing works. Its wild between midnight and 7am my legs are wild but once 7am comes, they go away and im able to finally get sleep. The body is so odd lol im doing hot pilates and havent done my bulimia at all. Im eating super clean and drinking a ton of water, i even quit my daily coffee. I entered the story with this opioid so naively, thinking that if I take no more than 2 mg, that I will not have a difficult withdrawal. For 7 years, I was delusional, thinking that there was nothing worse than heroin. Last year at this time, without any knowledge about this, I tried to get off that 2 mg and experienced hell. I was on 0.75mg for a year and before the last intake 0.5 for about 10 days. I'm entering day 9 and I can only say that it's hell in a nutshell.

Hi there, I hope you see this message. I've been on Suboxone almost 15 years. My daily dose was 16mg and for the past 1.5 years I've been on Buvidal. I tapered from 128mg to 64mg, unfortunately was unable to taper more. Lost my job last month and quit cold turkey. Goes without saying that it has been hell and there's still week until it's fully out of my system. I hope to feel better in 4-6 months, is this realistic expectation? I'm really worried that I have permanent brain damage and I will fall into depression. Only my partner knows what I'm going through so some experiences and communicating with people who have went through this would be much appreciated.💗🙏🏻

I honestly don't know much about buvidal, but I know it's similar to Suboxone in the way it works.
I definitely don't think it's going to take 4-6 months to feel better though, and you definitely don't have brain damage!
I would imagine you will start feeling better mentally this next month if I had to guess. Might take longer to be back to completely normal, but it will get a lot easier.
Keep going, and you will feel better soon enough! Keep me updated

@@SuboxoneRecovery-kd3it Thank you so much for your message which brought me in tears💗 I know that I should've tapered down but I was so frustrated when I couldn't get from 64mg to 32mg that I decided to go cold turkey. Buvidal has a half life of 19-25 days and next week should be out of my system. This week I haven't had the chills anymore. I truly hope that I will be able to feel pleasure when this is over and get my energy levels up. On Monday I was at the beach and got this weird thing happening to me where I felt that everything goes backwards for a short moment and today I has massive social anxiety, almost a panic attack (diagnosed anxiety and panic disorders). My doctor cut my Valium in half 2 weeks ago as well, on top of everything else I quit nicotine so it's proper roller coaster but I'm a fighter and didn't start this fight to lose.
