For your kind information it is an ancient Indian grain used from ages and it is called Ragi in Sanskrit. Nothing can be as old as that 🙏

Amaranth grows wild in the South West and, as you mentioned, has been consumed by indigenous people for centuries, and was not introduced to the U.S. in the 70's. I think maybe it was just introduced to white people in the 70's.

in India, until my grandfather's time, every household use to have amaranth plant in garden, they used it daily, fast food when relatives arrive.now a days because commercialisation and over western confidence we lost our tradition and science.we are getting it back.back to basics

How do you prepare the amaranth? Can I eat it raw if I soak/sprout? Was thinking to add it in my banana/kale/chia/pipa/spirulina/pine pollen/cinnamon smoothie

What about Palmer Amaranth? I just looked and the Minesota Dept of Ag says it reduces soy crops by up to 91% Possession of it is also criminal here due to that threat...are other edible species as invasive if they get out?

Cook it on low heat just like quinoa. After cooking add in raw chopped onions and a bit of virgin coconut oil.

Are used to think the same. ‘You need to eat meat’ I believe. Now I know it’s different, is to be stinky, after work, houses, deodorant, still smells bad, go home and shower every day. Now that I’m vegan, I’m surprised, I don’t think now, ever !!! No deodorant now, clean and fresh, I’m happy. Gorillas are ‘vegan’, they’re not smelly, I didn’t know that. They never shower, and clean !!! And no toothpaste, and they’re clean. Humans have their teeth brushed two times or three, they go to the dentist, cavities, Bad breath 😷. We eat the wrong.
Lions 😸and bears 🐻 and wolves 🐺 at short (4-6) guts (Alkaline). Gorillas 🦍 and bonobos, elephant 🐘, horses 🐴 et cetera, are are ‘vegan’, their guts are long (10-16) guts (Acid). 😬😬😬
