What a coincidence that you should post a video today, I've had an amazing day. My friend and I hired a very small art gallery local to us and we are at this moment in the middle of our first ever exhibition. I'm showing paintings and pottery and my friend is showing pottery too. Today I sold 3 paintings and I'm buzzing, I know I under valued them but I've covered my costs and made a profit but I'm now thinking how much I'm going to miss the paintings as they've been in my house for the past year, do you ever miss your paintings too when you sell them ? I sold pots too and we've still got all next week to go so I'm very happy. Thank you for all your help and advice , I'll keep you posted how things go the end of next week .
Congratulations Alison! Big news indeed. Yes I do get attached to them, but once sold I let them go without worries. A few I keep for whatever reason. Usually some sort of milestone in my painting.
Malcolm, it's a very colorful, in your style, painting. Love all your explanations, mixing colors tips, advices for specific acrilics painting. Mountains in the distance are looking vibrant but yet quiet. I have so much to learn from you. Thank you!
What a lovely painting, thank you once again for good tips on keeping colours clean etc. You made the acrylic painting look alive. Always look forward to your demonstrations Malcolm!
Also, I would love to see a video explaining the yellows! Cadmium light, azo, lemon, etc. which are warm, which are cool, relative to each other? How does one go about choosing in a landscape? I suppose I have the same issues with the blues.
Acrylic painting tips ~ BRAVO! I needed this very much. I use acrylics and I use your oil tips and paintings to learn. This however cleared up some issues I’ve been having. Thank you for your lessons. Melatonin Malcom - you are very laid back which I love. ❤
Stunning painting! Loved it. Great tips. I haven’t painted in acrylic, but would like to take this challenge. Thanks Malcolm for another educational video.
Thank you so much, Malcolm! I paint with acrylics as I'm severely allergic products associated with oils, and I like to think I can create something beautiful with them! 🙂
@@MalcolmDewey Thanks Malcolm for this precision. In the reference of this demo, Gamblin oils were indicated. So I thought it could have been Gamblin Acrylics! Have a good Day Malcolm. 🌞🙏🎨
Super demo! Thank you so much! So happy to have found you. Do you ever use zinc white? I think it is also called mixing white. I have a tube of the stuff but never use it. Again, thank you!
Thanks is it possible to forward the reference photo as I want to try the painting myself. I paint with oils Thanks Andre from Wellington Western Cape RSA
Cobalt gives a vibrant blue that is also cool and looks great for distant atmosphere. It has a unique "zing" that adds something special. But use with caution because it influences the entire painting.
Thank you Malcolm, as I wrote before I’m learning a lot from your excellent teachings⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Learning so much thank you Malcolm😁
My pleasure!

Hi Malcolm. Beautiful demo. Always love your explanations. Can you tell me which brand of acrylic paints did you use?
I used Amsterdam acrylics

Thank you. No I am not a fan of zinc white.
❤❤
Beautiful painting, thanks for sharing but if I may ask do u normally add acrylic gel to make your painting dry less faster?
Thank you, no I try to avoid any mediums. This may mean working faster with acrylics, but each medium has its pros and cons.
Do that composition large, very large.Your skill will shine like the sun.Just like that painting.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Thanks is it possible to forward the reference photo as I want to try the painting myself. I paint with oils

Can you email me from my school site?
What is the reason that you used cobalt vs your ultra marine and cerulean?
Cobalt gives a vibrant blue that is also cool and looks great for distant atmosphere. It has a unique "zing" that adds something special. But use with caution because it influences the entire painting.
Sir,im praying for you.pease be upon you.
