Hi, really loved these tiny envelopes! As a teacher of 7-9 year olds, I make sure that I show kindness to all of them. Like you said, you never know what someone is going through, including children. I greet them with a big warm smile and and ask them how they are, and try to make a comment relevant to them. That way they feel seen and treasured. The best thing is when they start doing it to others.
Dear Cathy, I try to show acts of kindness everyday. Either in person or by sending a text message or email to my family and friends and letting them know that I appreciate and love them. I always try to make eye contact, smile, and speak to strangers when I’m out and about, and I’m always, always polite in any situation. I go by the golden rule that my mother taught me, "Treat others as you would like to be treated" Blessings!
Spreading happiness, I donated nice clothing to a nursing home. There are times they are short on clothing in appropriate sizes as so many patients share clothing via the laundry room. When I bring things needed to certain individuals they are very pleased someone cares about them. It makes happy too 😊

Today I surprised the car behind me at Dunkin donuts and paid for their order! I've just recently had knee replacement surgery. I know how hard it is to shop at times. Last week I noticed a very sweet lady in the electric shopping cart having a hard time shopping. So we buddied up and finished our shopping together!! 😊 It was a very blessed day!!

Hi Cathy, My act is towards my parents. They live in the state north of me and I was able to visit them after Thanksgiving. My mom recently was discharged from the hospital and got to go back home. I wanted to help out and be there as she is working to be more independent and strong. I love them n I hope she won't have to go back to the hospital again.

I paint rocks and hide them to brighten days for kids and adults alike. I make lots of cards and give them away. Got the birthdates for every month and leave a birthday card for everyone. I don’t know them, but that doesn’t matter. I leave my ephemera clusters I hang on doors in our 55+ community’s doors. Spread kindness and my art all over the place! Good for everyone. Lightens my load ( hoard) and makes people smile.
My daughter and I were in line in Hobby Lobby and the man in front of us was holding two large pictures with no basket and there were 4 or 5 people in line ahead of him. We got his attention and let him rest his purchases over the top of our basket until it was his turn to pay. He was so nice and grateful

My act of kindness today, I was in our local shop and just as I was ready to pay when the cutest little boy was trying to put a pack of sweeties on the counter. His mummy was telling him to wait, and I took them from his hand and asked if he wanted them, he told me yes, so then I asked should I pay and the cutie yes yes. So I paid for them. That smile on his and his mummys face was beautiful.

Please continue encouraging people to spread a little kindness. It really does make a difference , just a kind word or smile cost nothing. My favorite to do is when there is a child crying or unhappy in a store or restaurant and you see mom or dad at their wits end. I live in a huge tourist town and there are always children that are tired or a parent stressed. Just a kind word to the parent or often as a stranger showing the child attention can change the whole scene.

Comment 393 I don't remember what day this was on... Could've been a Tuesday..LoL I had some errands to do... I decided to run in @ #DollarTree (different location that I normally visit) .. I asked the cashier if they had a public washroom ... She said no that I had to go next door... I walked over there ... Asked her for the bathroom (it was at the back of the store) 😢 As I was speed walking I noticed a thanksgiving bundle... I said I'll ck that out when I finish this... I walked around the store... It was a Michael's .. I asked her how long they'd been in this location... 7 yrs! What? I never knew one was this close (an hour away) from my home.... This was my first time ever visiting! I was AMAZED!! I wanted at least one of everything !!.. LoL As I was browsing around a lady gave me $20 .. I told her thank you but to give it to someone else She said for me to buy something for myself. She insisted that I keep it... So I made my first purchase... I bought that thanksgiving pack... $9 and one sheet of paper ...when I paid for it... I got a lot more change than what I was supposed to have... She told me to keep that money toooooo ... I was like W😮W!!! I was definitely touched!!! Ok so I finished my shopping @ $Tree when I was done I gave $10.00 to the cashier & told her to take it off the next person's bill... The recipient was walking up to the register as I was walking out the door. 😊 The lady next door (Micheals) was outside gathering up buggies.. I told her that I gave the lady behind me $10.. Later that evening... I had to stop @ the grocery store same thing... I gave the person behind me $10... The store had premade animal food bags ready for donation. I told the cashier that the bag was expensive. She said IKR... I told her hey you want to go in halfers... Her face lit up.. The cashier behind her rang us up .. I gave her my half & she put in hers.
