If only and only if he didn’t get injured he would be a hall of famer , even with the injury he was still good but such a shame he had to cut his career short, he’s an all time great in my book
@@SDSOverfiend *You Trolls make it waaaay too easy.* 1st question: *Who is your favorite B level player (Larry Johnson was always a B level player) from his era?*

How's that he signed the biggest contract at the time 12 years 84 million after making 2nd team All NBA in only his second year in the league? He rode that contract out until he retired in 2001
Its so crazy how Larry changed with age...he looked like a underground boxer while playing and now he is slim looking like a chill grandpa ....or should I say grandmama
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. By the time he got to New York, did he have many more "highlights," aside from that 4-point play? His back injury really slowed him, and I don't think he even dunked that often, as a Knick.
I did, I have over 100 cards, maybe more, sucks kids these days dont know trading cards, pogs, buying the beckett monthly, everything is digital and has no sense of value or meaning.
When did he stop dunking? I mean really dunking. I remember he had a few basic dunks early on with the Knicks but did he completely lose the ability to throw it down after the back injury? That’s a real shame. Dude had some of the best post moves when he was on. Looked like Hakeem.
he stopped dunking a lot during the 93-94/94-95 seasons, but in the 95-96 season he was dunking hard and often, but again in 96-97 with the knicks the dunking just phased away for good, LJ's last explosive season was in 1995-1996, he was averaging 22 points a game during the all star break.
I always felt like LJ used more finesse than Zion similar body structure but different approach. Zion is more of an explosive bully. LJ will softly lay it up. But Zion will dunk on you every time I think of Larry Johnson was drafted in 2020. He would be attacking the rim more. But he had a much sweeter jumper. IMO.
LJ played in a tougher error of basketball. Zion would last in that error, because he’d be faced with guys his size and strength night in and not out. LJ, played in that error when touch fouls where t called, and his injury happen during a pick up game. He fell awkwardly on his back. Zion’s injury is due to being overweight, and his body can’t handle those constant rim attacks. There this big difference right there; LJ hit the weight room, and Zion hit the buffet and doesn’t have a consistent jump shot. Two very different errors, and caliber of opponents where bruising in the 90’s. Todays players get fouls for breathing on opponents!

He was playing with a bad back in NY, he retired because he was using too many pain killers to be able to play. Hew still put up respectable games, he averaged 12pts a game for the knicks, a low scoring team, in todays game, he would easily score 30 in his rookie year and 20 with the knicks.
