Today We kick off the first episode of the West Weekend Tour and Our first stop was in Trelawny where We managed to catch up with 22 Yr Old Alwyn Chambers aka Da_Drifta. Lets give Him his spotlight as a Young Tech thats built his Russian Manufactured LADA from scratch as it took him 2 Years to bring it from one level to another. With finances being an issue it didn't stop him from moving towards His Dreams and with the drive that He has this will inspire everyone.

As a viewer from the USA, it's hard to understand every word that is said, but I didn't have to. It's so obvious the passion and motivation of everyone showcased in this video. I've always made excuses about why I haven't built a car that I want, but after seeing this, my excuses are null and void. Thank you for an inspiring and incredible video!

We speak patois Joel , so the lingo is hard for you , but you got the message. This youth started his build while attending tech school and working. Couldn't afford a BMW , had to settle for this. Lada is Russian , they were used as taxis in the 80's. When he went to look at this one a madman was sleeping in it ! Brakelines were rotted out , he bought new ones , while driving it home broke down - bad carb. Taxis today are Toyota , this engine came from a crashed one. Bless up from Jamaica
@@ganjafarmer1572 i want to thank you for the clarification, but I do want to make it known that I wasn't saying that not understanding everything he said was a bad thing or a problem. I understood the majority of what was said and quite honestly, I didn't need to understand every word, it's obvious that the guy being interviewed is a smart, passionate and resourceful person and i admire the heck out of that. The point i was trying to make was that I am afforded many more options than he, yet I always have an excuse to make or a reason to not build my own car. But in watching this video I have come away with motivation to start my own project. Again, I was not being negative or disrespectful, I was simply trying to say that the guy with the lada is a badass, and he motivated me.

Thx for the content Nick. Don't take the yute lightly, he wired a coil pack fired 1NZ Axio engine which came naturally aspirated and turbocharged it. On top of that fuel it plus mate the engine to a rwd gearbox is quite impressive.

I'm from St. Elizabeth and I remember back in the days there was this pink Lada always in the Santa Cruz area owned by a guy called Pinchals with something like a Skyline top and Evolution bottom engine. That Lada was the maddest thing around....

My friends tell me all the time to buy new cars but they don't know that I am still holding on to them days. This youth gonna make it in life because of his mindset.
