    I want to affirm this brother’s testimony. My daughter was diagnosed with autism close to the age of two and it was a long journey for us however my daughter has been touched by our Lord and Savior and has been healed she can speak and do everything that she couldn’t do when she was diagnosed God is real his power is real and there’s nothing too hard for him. Praise God for you brother may the Lord continue to use you even in greater measure.

    Long story short, I was diagnosed with autism at the age of 5. I struggled socially, mentally and emotionally. My parents have Christian backgrounds and were very supportive of me. As a result of my diagnosis, I ended up taking speech therapy sessions and special ed classes. I remember in primary school where I attended Scripture classes and met a Scripture teacher who introduced me to Bible stories, worship songs and prayer. This was at the same time where I also attended kids church. This went on for a period of two years until I heard the Gospel of Jesus for the first time by a Kids pastor. I then accepted Jesus into my life at the age of 12 and then got baptised on water by 13 in a period of two months.
    Since my salvation in Christ, I have improved my speech, communication skills, mental health and emotional wellbeing. I also had a greater sense of love and belonging I never had before. I stuck closer to God by reading His Word, praying, speaking in tongues and hanging out with other believers. I know I can trust the Lord who strengthens and helps me. He turned every bad situation around for good and gives me a sense of hope and peace. Thank you Jesus! 😇🙌🏼

    This testimony blessed me so much! I have two children that the doctors have labeled autistic. I do not accept it and will never accept “man’s label” for them. I believe Jesus has healed them and the manifestation is continually showing up every day. Even with tears I pray for them daily and trust Jesus for their healing. Father allowed my 3 year old daughter to go from not speaking a word to speaking so much I often have to remind myself this little girl was once non-verbal. In those moments I have to stop and praise God for this miracle! Father God also allowed her to potty train herself. She went from not speaking to “I got to pee-pee” it felt like in a matter of weeks. All these things happened all of a sudden and without notice. My 2 year old wasn’t feeding himself with a spoon. One day as I sat at the table helping him, I asked the question in my mind, “Will I always have to help him feed himself?” All of a sudden within minutes he picks up his spoon and feeds himself and hasn’t stopped ever since. Be encouraged parents of children going through this season of autism or any disability. Father loves us and Jesus advocates for us continually. Sometimes we have to cry because this life is so overwhelming, and don’t look down on crying because I always feel better once I let it out and tell all my worries to Jesus. He strengthens me to keep moving. Keep praying and believing Father God for you or your loved ones healing in Jesus name. Have faith and believe that it is done. God bless y’all!

But even outside of families who pay reverence to God, as well as outside those who voice dissident upon autism (my family, speech delays are INCREDIBLY common in autistic children-my family is Christian, but even myself scarcely speaking until I was 3 was of no concern to them, nor had it ought to be, as once I began speaking I was of no disadvantage to my peers in my language capabilities-of course you should celebrate this joy of your children evolving in their communication! Yes…that is an amazing testimony! God is good!! We have an autistic son, who is 32 years old now. His story is a lot like this young man’s story, regarding the bullying he’s gone trough in school (even in College), at work and at church. We can’t imagine what people on the spectrum or any other disabilities go through daily. People are mean, and when I was able to intercede in on nasty comments, I would say “how would you behave if it was your brother or sister?” It would immediately get them thinking about their behavior. We are a faith based, God fearing, praying family, and God showed up for our son and countless others. He now has three college degrees in Psychology!! And works with kids with autism, helping them in a supportive way. When he was younger, we did not have a clue what his adult life would look like. We were reminded that God trusted us to care for him and to know he is precious in his eyes, so do not limit him! He is taking care of himself financially, he owns and drives a car and living on his own! I believe that we have to love them, protect them, and most of all encourage them and pray without ceasing! And then witness what God will do!🙏🏾

Heres my short testimony: on a normal day, I was on my phone. I heard a voice that told me "Do you want to be healed?" And I said "sure why not". Examples include being detail oriented, recognizing patterns easily, routine oriented, hyper fixated on hobbies, hyper-morality, etc.
    So if we’re gunna pray for a person with autism, pray that the struggles of it go away. But not the benefits.

      I agree :( It made me a little sad seeing people in the comments section wish that their children be ‘cured’ of autism. Maybe as someone who is high-functioning, I’m not considering some of the other challenges low functioning autistic individuals face - such as being non-verbal (in some cases). But it’s not something that needs to be cured. Right? :( As a Christian, I have asked that God help me with maladaptive daydreams that were negatively impacting my life, and I have also asked for more clarity in day to day life (for example - praying for discernment through the Holy Spirit, as autism can make you less likely to understand intentions and identify malicious people). But I think autism is what makes people unique in a good way. And many traits of autism can aid you in life - both in professional fields or in a religious aspect. I agree that if we’re going to pray, we should pray that only the negative aspects are taken away. Autism isn’t inherently bad.

      Autism isn’t a disease either. And wanting people not be autistic is ableism. Autism has many pros as well and it’s just a different way our brain processes things it’s not like we’re cognitively disabled. I am autistic and for years I prayed for god to completely “cure” me but now I’ve learned to truly embrace myself for who I truly am and realize there’s nothing wrong with having autism.

    • @GuidedByGod13
      @GuidedByGod13 2 года назад +7

      Please remember that the Spectrum is very very broad and there are autistic people who ARE cognitively disabled. Who self harm continually like biting their skin to the bone, banging their head against walls, etc. It seems like they are often forgotten during these types of discussions 😔
      Question and I'm truly interested in your perspective- do you believe the benefits like focus and being detail-oriented can or would exist without your autism diagnosis? Would you say autism is a part of your identity or a condition you experience?

    • @ariellathebohemian6381
      @ariellathebohemian6381 2 года назад +7

      @@GuidedByGod13 that’s very true and important for everyone to remember, it’s definitely an incredibly broad spectrum. I wasn’t forgetting the cognitively disabled autistic people during this discussion but I definitely agree with you that we could do way better in general at remembering and including them in discussions like these. They deserve and need to be heard, loved and understood as well.
      That’s a very good question :). Tbh I have no way of knowing for certain if my focus and detail-oriented would exist without my autism but I no longer see it as a condition I experience. Mine’s definitely contributed to me being really artistic and musically inclined and seeing and contributing to our world in a unique way. That’s why I say I’m autistic instead of I have autism. I think the reason autistic people (on both low and high spectrum) tend to struggle so much and feel so alone is because of how our society runs things, it’s very one size fit all in many ways and doesn’t make it easy for anyone to succeed and thrive who doesn’t learn one particular way or who have different needs, abilities, skills etc than what they idealize. The way our system is set up is often times very ableist.

    I absolutely love your personality Danville. My son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. Sadly God needed him at the age of 5 and he went to be with him. Before he left he was just starting to say a few words. He wasn't verbal but miraculously he was able to sing. I couldn't understand it but just put it down as God's hand at work. Although am sad that he's no longer here, I am also glad God took him when he did because I was so new to the condition and was really starting to worry about his future. I no longer have to worry now because I know he is in the safest place ever. Praise God for your miracle Danville. Keep being you. Blessings x

The story of David and Mephibosheth who was crippled but still elevated in King David’s Home. If we were all meant to be the same then we’d all look alike. He was dropped by his nurse and became crippled in his legs through injury. Not Gods will. He was pre atonement. Pre stripes of Jesus. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him and everyone who followed Him, including those born disabled or "lame from their mother's womb". Jesus knows not everyone who becomes His child would be willing to take Him for His Word, His complete salvation but He still loves them of course and will use them even if they limit Him. He will work with the faith they give Him. Jesus never intended for any of His children to allow sickness to become their identity to such a place that the idea of being healed from them would be offensive. Our identity is only to be in Christ alone. In Matthew 13 we see a direct connection with being offended by Jesus and unbelief and inability to receive healing. Bodily healing is included in Christ's atonement praise God. I'm thankful for seeing people set free from autism. Mental captivity and arrested development can be caused by spirits that need to be cast out. Doesn't even make sense for it to be God's will for people to carry demons in them oppressing them. If that's your preference then thats your free will. Many desire to take their healing inheritance in Christ and no one has the right to be offended by it. We should praise and worship and dance like David with all our might when we see captives set free. God bless.

      @@teacherdaphne8786Amen!! Agreed!! God created us in His image, his image doesn’t include disabilities! It is supposed to be His Will here on earth AS IT IS IN HEAVEN! In heaven there is no disease or disability! Jesus never said to anyone…no, I can’t heal you, you’re meant to be lame or disabled for the glory of my father! On the contrary, to the man who the disciples asked if his mother or father had sinned, Jesus said, neither his mother or father have sinned but this happened to show my father’s glory…and then HEALED HIM! Maybe that's related to him being 3. Autistic people do have the ability to eventually learn how to speak, they just need more time than neurotypical ones. Try giving him some more time.
