Regarding beards, i haven't been to a barber since before i could grow a beard. I've grown a long beard three times. The first was started in 04. The second in 08. The last in 14. I've never used oil in my beard. Correction, i tried oil ounce. It felt gross, so i didn't use it again. I've never been comfortable with the beard comments/ compliments unless they came from women. Most of the negative comments have also been from women. Possibly all of them. I also enjoy that. Now that my beard is rapidly turning white, i suppose next time i grow it out, I'll start dressing in red and allow myself to get fat🎅. But i will not be allowing random children to sit on my lap and tell me what toys they want because that kind of behavior is creepy as hell and shouldn't be encouraged. Thats more than enough beard talk. I wont bring it up again. As a bald man im probably compensating for that anyway. That facial recognition search engine isn't perfect. It matched me with three other individuals that did look damn near exactly like me but definitely weren't me. Two in the US and one in Norway. And also me of course. In a way that is somewhat comforting but also disturbing. Mostly disturbing. #askgribs In this time of ever increasing surveillance of ourselves, our data, our thoughts, how do we maintain any sense of privacy or actual privacy? Should we even try? I have an opinion but im curious to hear yours.
When I think of videos I'd like to show my wife about the inner dimensions of pipe-smoking... I see both the zen-like meditative states we enter, but also the manic Shakespearean "Though this be madness, yet there is method in it" kind of revelations we concoct if our tobacco-induced minds... Yea, I'm going to show her this video and say, "See, this is the kinda man you chose to marry!" 🤣
