Step dad has a 1983 323 Baur in the warehouse. It was in good shape except the top had some issue with the knob being stripped. It was running in 1994 ish. I offered up to 4k and may get it to get it back up to snuff. rust free and low miles. I hope it is worth it but this one was special ordered by some folks here in Texas. left hand drive.
You guys work sooo hard, nice to see theowner involved, id want to do the same too. Brilliant content,Ryan and your dad and uncles etc, you are all stars, keep going your hard work pays off. Dont forget to go home, go out and enjoy yourself too!!!
An ex girlfriend of mine many years ago had one of these. Whistled from all the window seals, squeaked and rattled on poor roads and leaked when it rained, but was so good in the sun. Great memories. Swapped it for an E36 328i that was objectively much better, but I know which one I'd have now
Mate of mine bought a red convertible one of these on an H plate 15 years ago 323i or 328i manual for £1400 with 83k miles on it! Bodywork etc immaculate red with all cream leather just needed a couple of trim pieces door handle and bit of centre console and a service.. beautiful car! Hes still got it im pretty sure.. was same as this one just red bought it cheap off a car dealer who took it in as a trade in/part ex Lol

Did I see a Honda S800 Coupe tucked behind..... very rare. Just seen a video with an S800 Coupe with a S2000 engine and drive train swap...,..... awesome.
A friend of mine had one of these in around 1991, although they are quite rare, possibly very rare nowadays, the Baur part of them always looked a bit "home-made" in my opinion. Anyhow, it will be a much better specimen when YCR have done their magic.
Cool car. Love these BM’s. Out of curiosity when is Tim (Shmee150’s) Porsche 914 expected to arrive? Your colabs with high profile RUclipsrs is certainly stacking up. Keep up the good work.
Whilst I really enjoy your videos and admire your work things seem to be getting a little BMW heavy. All I can say is that you have single handedly put me off buying an older BMW for life. They just seem to seriously rot everywhere, not just in specific areas.
Nice car. I'm not quite sure where I saw it, but in another video someboby used dry ice for removing sound detoning stuff. This seem to be much easier because it comes up in large chunks.
@@Morzsaszar Yeah literally the easiest thing I've ever had to remove without any grinding. Hammer it out in big chunks works great, no idea why people wanna overcomplicate with dry ice and miracle tonics from ylang-ylang.
Oh dear Here we go again then another bmw full of holes I’d be scared to blast that one ! I was very surprised to see it on air ride lol guess you gotta love um good job we all love different things or life would be boring gonna be good project and lots of work I’m sure 👍
I had a 2 door saloon C reg 85/86 320i and I think the 323i had been discontinued by then in favour of the 325i, so this must be an 84/85 or earlier model
Dated a girl in the 90s who owned a e30 333i baur in red. Just googled it and I had no idea the 333i was so rare, only 200 ever made and for South Africa only. Used to be a never ending source of pain in the ass. Pull up the handbrake and the discs warped. Auto box used to hunt something terrible on steep uphills. And it had a terrible electrical drain had the immobiliser replaced numerous times and the battery would still die within an hour. And the bottom fog lamps would get broken on a regular basis. But I see they are now selling for the same price as a 4 bedroom house in a good neighborhood. Not sure what happened to the car, her father bought a 200sx and didn't like it so she took the SX and he took the baur.
Yes the opel manta is finish but back in for some other work that isn't going on youtube. We are not just a youtube channel.we are also a fully operating business.
With a lot of these cars now we only get one chance of a quality restoration our view is if we can get replacement pannles we use them at our earliest opportunity.
I had one (320i) some 20 years ago. Unfortunately it was damaged beyond repair. Bought a E21 320 Baur. In my opinion a more beautyfull type than the E30...
The Baur is surely the least desirable of the e30 variants. I love e30’s, I’ve owned an 88 convertible for about 17 years but I’m going to have to watch this restoration through very squinted eyes.

Another BMW?? Aren't you slowly dreaming of the BMW?? Is this a new disaster project? In some videos you can see how rust is removed from a metal surface using a laser. Does this also work on a car???
So many projects! Insane to keep it all in order!
i know this car and the owner. Great to see another Baur getting the full on treatment.
You guys are Pro's, every video is worth the wait!
What an absolute NAIL of a car
The previous work on that cowl is quite spectacular...

Looking forward to seeing the next episode 👍
I’m so disappointed, wish I could binge watch 👌🏻so good

I had a GF like that.

You did indeed. Good spot! I own that one which is a mk1, but I've also got a mk2 :D
Love the S800 coupe my Dad had a Red one and a silver Mk2. Never found a really good one to buy.
Nice to see another Baur restored. But I doubt it's the last 323i Baur RHD in white on the road. C114CES for instance is also still taxed.
Brilliant channel 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
Thank you :)

Why do you waste money for dry ice? Simply hammer it

If I'm not mistaken I saw that as well on Chris Fix ^^
This is my new favorite channel on youtube. No offense to the rest of the crew, but Ryan is the MVP!
Prefer the straight forward approach of senior....
Lol! That car transport tarp has seen better days.
Loving Pav having a considerable input with helping you strip the car, that looks a bit like a disaster datsun type scale!
Whats the ballpark price for this sort of restoration? I have an E34 that needs likely a similar level of attention
I suspect that we can look forward to plenty more fabrication and welding videos. It looks like Pav is a pretty competent guy with the tools.
Good job Ryan u like bmw e30 specialist u got loads in mate love it excited to see the next one 😊

Ryan wow another E30 .👌 You done almost all variants of E30 you could do mine next design edition convertible 😊
Very nice, looks like it will make a great project.keep doing what you do best.👍👍👍😎😎😎
what was the silver tank in the trunk????
Air suspension

I didn't even know they did a 323 in the E30 shape. I had a 325i 🤔
You did make a few spare E series jacking points didn't you...? 😅
They need to make them by the dozen!
Ryan and Steve could make a bunch and sell it on the bmw forums, they will sell like hot cakes
I expect Ryan can make them from memory now.
im so lucky i found your account

Please tell me you’ll get rid of that hideous air ride suspension!
I dont understand why the Opel Manta is still there. There are many unfinished projects and you start new ones .Maybe there is a reason?

The other unfinished projects are what the company is doing and other emoyees work on not me and Ryan.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration thank you for the detailled information
Could there ever be a better time for a RHD conversion, after you sandblast the Baur?
Sounds a bit of waste of time, seeing as it is already RHD
Go back to bed Matthew. 😴
How will you save the chassis number on the scuttle panel
Cool new project .
Nice new project!
Whats your thougt about acid dipping the car V.S. sandblasting?
Hmm, hope he gets rid of that horrible air suspension as part of the restoration! Will be fun to watch this come together.
9:20 I have that same Snapon Deadblow hammer and its my least favorite hammer. I prefer a solid 4-5 pound hammer especially when beating on rusty crap
To be fair, its a good all rounder, it's probably my second most used hammer. I also use the ball end to shape metal
Man working on his own whip lmfao 😂😂😂
He also removed the engine, loom and interior before it came, funny that ain't it
Fab!
Why was the rear anti roll bar cut ?
Ceased bolts and it's being upgraded

Dulux gloss white
Great channel and amazing content but another BMW?
Is the value worth all this repair?
I believe the “restore it” Chanel on ya had a company that print d new replicated stickers for his e30
Why not use dry ice on the sounddampening material?
👍👍👍
body doesn't look half as bad as some of the projects (eg Cosmo, Disaster Datsun, the Porsche)

Cant wait - will there be rust?
If there is a bright side it shouldn't take the sandblaster long to blast the "good metal" on this.
Will Pav be helping with this one?
When is the UR Audi Quattro series coming?
*Ryan show me a close up of the hanging pillows and their table number.*
They should cut the lower sills off before sandblasting as they have new ones and the rust would be bad behind the old ones.....
That's a southall car. Mr Hanspal

BMW added additional corrosion points on this one.
cars are actually quite bio friendly. This one would be completely dissolved by mother nature in less than 100 years from manufacturing.
Would love to see something else than that boring BMW’s
Why not watch the porsche 911 or the mk1 escort RS 2000 or the mazda cosmo 110s :)
Great point!

Auto Alex's is almost complete. Also Mar Armstrong's isn't far off.
what you mean? The Opel is done, the miatas, Auto Alex is very close, Matt Armstrongs too.
who is pav is he a youtuber
Nope hes a customer who owns the car :)

it's the only one left.... in white 😅
I had a similar situation. I had the only (black) Vauxhall Royale 2.8 saloon left in the world 😢
Hope that dodgy air suspension is being ditched...
So you just need a 4 door and a convertible e30 for a full house.
I am in a coma now after being ran over by a BMW. It reminds me of the time a fox came and slept in my bed thinking it was my wife

And the porsche 911 and 914 😁 Edit : just noticed you said porsche :)
Convinced my e30 is rotten after all these videos
I think BMW is a dangerous because idk how to work the seatbelts that’s why I’m now in a wheelchair
